As I had the day free I decided to pick up the few unfound caches I had in Ambury Park. There were no birds around today and I initially thought I'd found the cache lying in the open til I opened it and found a blank log inside, then realised it must have been dropped by previous finder Supernanny. Sure enough, after contacting her she confirmed it must have fallen out of her bag! As for the real cache, no problems with the find as it was in the first place I looked.
Yay.....one last look on an other side and I found it !
So pleased cos I fell in mud,,, and covered in mud now...and off to work ...plus lost my sun hat !
You should see my sandals !!!
The mud tried to suck them off my feet .

I knew where it should be. I was sure! And I looked and looked, but found nothing. Then as a last resort, I had to check the hint. And it said exactly the place where I was looking. So I went back, and... found the container ... need to learn to trust my instincts more... Tftc
After finishing work in the city early I headed for home, got changed and then went for a walk around the newish caches in Ambury Park. A good spot for the cache. Sat at GZ and signed the log. Time to head back to the car park now. TFTC, Biggles.
Nice quick find, cache all good. Mrs nzk was trying to quickly sign and replace the cache before we were muggled - but then discovered the other couple were also geocachers! Nice to meet you OneRanger.
As I approached GZ I could see wo cyclist looking very much like geocachers. Sure enough it was nzkites. Nice to meet you both. Cache was found quickly. TFTC
A nice stratight forward find as Mr P and I took a long way in the beautiful sunshine. T4tc
Not a lot of birds out & about today, due to the stormy weather, rain starting up again. TFTC
Decided on using mybike today to get some of the caches round here, ground nice and hard so no problems biking across the grass.

We took a nice walk around the park today and stopped for a few caches along the way. This one was pretty obvious once we got there. TFTC.
Great day to out for a walk with Okayness picking up some unfound caches in the park. TFTC
It's really nice out this park, after heading to a new cache nearby, I came here since it was so close. I walked back to the car, this time away from the field with the bull in it!
After grabbing the FTF on a nearby cache picked up this one up on the way out. Quiet around here this morning. Disturbed a few Pukekos and rabbits as well as wishing Gorby a Happy New Year. TFTC
Found this after the nearby cache. Nice quick find at GZ on nice morning in Auckland not many people about this morning no one down this part of the park anyway.

I took the kids out for some fresh air and exercise to Ambury Farm where they could run about and see the animals (and I could do a bit of caching ) We walked long the foreshore where I could grab this cache as its one I need for my current geolicence. Once at GZ I knew where to look and soon had the cache in hand, TFTC!
Needed to find a few caches within a week of them being published for my current GIO licence stage, and with today being a public holiday, I decided that it would be a perfect day to round up a few of the new caches. Was fully expecting to fly solo on this mission, with geo-daughter being away, and hubby being the muggle consignment of the NewlynFam team- although he does come geocaching from time to time (he even enjoys it, too.... I'll make a geocacher out of him yet!!! ). It turned out that today was one of those days where he decided to come, so we packed a picnic lunch, jumped in the car, and off we went.
This was the first one we headed to, being the closest of the few on my list, and we enjoyed a nice walk in from the car through the firlds, watched casually by a rather large jersey bull as we jumped a fence adjacent to his paddock.
Once at GZ, it was obvious where we had to look, but we missed it on the first pass and widened our search a little. When that didn't turn up the goods, we decided that it MUST be there, and looked a little more thoroughly.... and sure enough, it was, just very well hidden. It looks like it may have been attached by fishing line when hidden, as there was a piece attached to the top of the container?
SL and returned where found, covering with a bit of natural camo so it couldn't bee seen by a casual observer.
TFTC tuolei.... nice to be 2TF as well

After a bit of a sleep in this morning, having driven back to Auckland late last night, I noticed this cache had still not been found so decided to head out and take a look. Nice location and a nice easy hide, and another [FTF] to add to the list... FTF #2005 TFTC!!!
