Had to stop to redeem this previous DNF while I was in town..I think we must have had our blinkers on last time we visited
Albury TripTime for an Aussie road trip with Joolay, albida33 and FurfacesLL plus others from the Canberra puzzling team. Signed as CAI Canberra Albury Invasion). Tricksy and fun cache. Thanks for the hide yamutha
Nice hide. Its a perfect weekend to get out of town. Decided Albury was the place to go. Lots of lovely puzzles that we have spent time as a group working through now its time to venture down and pick up.Signing as CIA-Canberra Invasion of Albury. Thanks for getting me out and about yamutha
fitzy_1965 and I headed towards Albury/Wodonga last night. We camped at the Ettamogah Pub before joining the rest of our friends in Albury today.A great day was had with us picking up lots of trads, multi's and pre-solved puzzles with the day ending in an event in the heart of Albury and a nice hotel room thanks to a Red Balloon voucher. The logs were primarily signed as CIA (Canberra Invasion Albury) unless otherwise stated.
Albury Invasion trip Day 2. After panning and months of puzzle solving it is finally time to head to Albury Wodonga for a long weekend visit. I was with Kitty Katch, FufacesLL and Joolay for this trip, but I also spent time with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n due to space in cars. Logs for the weekend were signed CIA23 to save space. Today was a day of driving all up and down and across back and forth around Albury trying to visit as many of the Puzzle locations we have solved. Some were nice walks some just roadside finds, but there was a huge variety of hides and some were very challenging, even if they were in 'traditional' locations. We did fail to find a few, but I put that down to some really good hides that just plain beat us. There were a few puzzle highlights but matching the puzzle to the hide on the day was a little difficult, so I will just thank all the hider's for their hard work and providing the opportunity to spend a fun day. There are still more caches to be found so we have another day planned for tomorrow and will probably have to come back again one day. Thanks for the cache yamutha44851.40 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & September 2019 Leave No Trace A#410**Albida**
33,774. Found with Team CIA23 - Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023.Our caching group has been eyeing off the Albury/Wodonga area for quite some time. After many months of hard work we had solved nearly all the area's puzzles, so we set a date and headed on down. CIA23 comprised of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, FurfacesLL, Tankengine, dty73, Sol de lune, LuckyL10n, albida33, Aykayem, smittengranny and myself. For part of one day we were joined by local Cacher Happy Feet 1. What a great weekend of caching with such a fun group of people. An event on the Saturday night also helped make the trip memorable. Quick find once at GZ. Signed the log as CIA23, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list. Thanks yamutha !! One of many of your caches we were lucky enough to find. We appreciate your contribution to Geocaching and our enjoyment.
Day 2 of the Canberra invasion weekend of Albury. Being ex an Canberran, I headed up to join in the fun of the weekend with LuckyL10n, Albida33, fitzy_1965, minniek, tankengine, dty73, Joolay, KittyKatch, Smittengranny, Isopeda, Barbe2e and FFLL. Today we started to the north of Albury and headed towards the CBD, grabbing caches on both sides of the freeway as we went. Lots of pre solved puzzles, along with a number of traditionals, were found during the day. Unfortunately we had a few DNF's as well. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches...and the fun we had over the weekend. Logs were signed CIA (Canberra Invasion Albury)...
Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 and CIA23 cachers on a quick Albury invasion! Thanks yamutha!
#18891; Day 2 of the Canberra Invasion of Albury 2023 weekend, which had been preceded by much head scratching and puzzle solving to prepare. Our merry band comprised of Sol de lune, albida33, Smittengranny, Kittykatch, Joolay, FurfacesLL, Barb2e and isopeda, along with yours truly, were joined by dty, tankengine, aykayem, minniek and fitzy_65 for a day of action today. Started the day to the north of town and then worked our way south, east and west as we gathered caches. Some finds were difficult as were some of the puzzles and some were easier. Some we didn't find at all! All up 103 finds, one event at the end of the day and nine DNFs for me today. Logs were again signed CIA23. Most of the caches we found were in good order. Apologies for the generic logs, but by the end of the day, like the body, the mind was slowing down as well! Thanks to all of the cache owners for helping make a great weekend for our Canberra caching fraternity. TFTC yamutha
Day 2 of our Albury Trip. For the last few weeks a group of us sat together and solved lots of puzzles for this weekend. Today, SmittenGranny, barb2e, Kittykatch, albida33, FurfacesLL, Joolay, Sol de Lune, LuckyL1On, MinnieK, Fitzy_65, Tankengine, DTY73, Aykayem and me went around Albury and found puzzles, multies, trads, ALs and a virtual etc. To save log space we are signing as CIA (aka Canberra invasion of Albury). The puzzles were all quite interesting, the hides sometimes hard. Sorry for the generic logs. Caching in the group makes logging hard. TFTC
Day 2 of our Canberra (plus 3) Invasion of Albury. It was a beautiful sunny day as we set out in search of presolved caches. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches that enticed us down here. Cache found and log signed as CIA or CAI.
Day 2 of our Canberra trip to Albury and a few extras in our group today. Signing as CIA for Canberra Invasion of Albury. Tftc
Nicely crafted - was this an original hole? Well either way a new challenge and new tricks required to solve a well crafted puzzle Out and about with weirdobiker on a multi mission that included a plan to float the boat but wind conditions kept us on shore so here we are tracking down a few other solved caches - and about time!. Thanks for the FUN and another great puzzle.
I was out with Ronice88 to collect a few caches today. It was the perfect day to be out however we got sidetracked from our initial intentions. This was a quick enough find however the credit for the solve must go to Ronice88. Thanks for another great puzzle.
I cannot believe that nobody has been here since our visit last April as I think it was our last day so after a couple of Events and an a great winery lunch we decided to continue into NSW and grab a few caches that we had solved prior to leaving for the Rutherglen Mega.
Thanks, yamutha for placing these caches out for our enjoyment. I really think that most new cachers are not bothering with the harder cachers and going for the easy ones as it builds up their numbers. We signed both caches but by this time you have probably removed the throw down.

The BAB6 team were lucky here. We found two containers with logs in them. Signed them both (one of which was new).
I found your D3.5/T2.0 Micro Mystery called Stolen on 11 April 2023. It was find #18234 for me. Thank you yamutha for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of New South Wales.

Found with my team for the Mega and signed under the team name BAB6. This was Brisal5 Anymules both from SA and bushfire from Vic.
I had a set of numbers worked out before leaving home but with my fabulous mates form SA and bushfire I headed off with a better set.
I put my fingers on what turned out to be the cache. On returning it we noticed another container.....
To be sure we signed both logs. You know the rest.
Thanks for the headache yamutha

Rutherglen Mega Trip. [^] Day 9 - Our final day in our Corowa digs so we had a laid back day. Found a few around Corowa including attending a morning event and a CITO. After that we found a few more before a winery lunch and meandered our way to Albury. We had solved quite a few puzzles there but we targeted only a few as time ran out. It really has been fun.
Our crew for the week is:
Bushfire
Anymules
Brisal5
6Hinemoa2
BAB6 for short and to save space in logs.
Most logs will be generic or there might be some more under here. Thanks CO's for the caches that made this such a great week for us.
Another interesting puzzle from this CO. [^] Arriving at GZ 6Hinemoa2 spotted something a bit different and it proved to be the very sneaky cache. Log was a bit hard to get out and as we stamped a piece of bark on the ground was moved and there was another cache. [?] WTF [?] One log blank, one log damp but with the last finders in it. [?][?][?] Stamped/signed both logs and let the CO know.
Favourite point for the **VERY** devious hide.
**SA’s Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024.**
***Thanks yamutha for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Not sure who got spooked more me or the baby Snake that quickly disappeared into the ground none the less GZ was still searched wood was moved and poked but no cache was located.
Spent a bit of time going around and discovering hidden logs and branches in the tall grass, but couldn't find the cache.
GZ is void of any structures that may hide a cache! PAF and apparently the structure that it used to be in has been removed!
Note: If the CO checks on the cache and it is still there, then I will change this note to a DNF.

Day #8 of the MEGA road trip. Still based at Ettamogah Pub for the time being. Today we are off on a solved puzzle pickup tour of Albury (also known as a yamutha-fest). Having spent a number of hours during lockdown solving many of these puzzles it is great to be able to collect some of these before a relaxing afternoon in the hammocks back at the pub!
A sneaky puzzle here which I stumbled on something odd which helped with the find. OzHockeyChick made the relatively tricky find here. We replaced the soggyblog with a new dry one.
Thanks yamutha for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

It’s MEGA Road Trip time!! A plan is hatched and we are good to go.
DAY EIGHT: Albury solved puzzles.
Very sneaky puzzle that took quite a bit to solve. Equally sneaky hide. Replaced soggy logbook with a nice dry log.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, yamutha

A DNF here. Arrived at GZ and spotted something that looked promising. Torchlight illuminated something mangled and too deep to extract. A quick search around and nothing else looked promising. I'll have to return.
This weekend we embarked on a mission to find unloved yamutha caches, found this cache with nearly 1 year of unlove (222 days)
Mission to date:
8 FINDS
2 DNFS
Unlove Total: 4,466 days (a WHOPPING amount > 12 years for 8 caches !!!)
This mystery "stole" too many hours of my time, too distracted by the red herrings, I was not much assistance to Detective Geo, and almost had to be led to the location by the CO, should have not been that hard to unravel the crime...required 2 visits to GZ and a confirmation from the CO the co-ords were correct, however, to our surprise the diamond has been "stolen" again, back to work Detective Geo, lucky we could still sign the log at the new crime scene, TFTC yamutha

Hi Detective Yamutha, I know who stole the diamond...
Please met me at these coordinates... {BLOCKED BY SECURITY PROTOCOLS}
I was not able to find the stolen Diamond here, but I have written the thief's name down...
I think they are onto me...
Signing off now...
On our way home and we decided on a late stop in Albury. Great dinner at Downtown Pizzeria and brunch at The Barista, Baker & Brewer.
Had a bit of a sleep in and didn't get out and start my standard morning caching until just before 7 am.
This is an extremely busy area with road works slowing traffic down. I came from right angle for a quick sign. I was just able to sign the log paper, even if it is extremely wet.
Thanks for the cache Yamutha

With quite a few puzzles solved in the Albury area, we headed there for the day.
Most of the puzzles were challenging, but the hides were a little easier.
Many thanks for placing this cache, yamutha, for us and others to find.

This is the last of the current batch of yamutha solved puzzles. Found what I needed a while ago but could not extract the final information. Finally one tool revealed half the details and so use a more comprehensive one revealed both sets of required numbers. Elegant in its simplicity but incredibly devious!
So today I scooted I’ll north to make the find and spent quite a bit of time circling GZ not many potential hides and though I thought I knew what I was looking for but was not to be. Eventually found the sneaky hide but the local tools would not extract it, so searched a nearby feature and found a more solid one and finally wedged the sucker out. Signed log and then was joined by the_stephenson5 who had unsuccessfully searched on two previous occasions.
TFTC yamutha - a nice challenge to have finally signed off

I have looked at this puzzle many times since it was published, and got absolutely no where. All it took was a one worded clue which meant nothing for a few days then came the 'aha' moment. I have looked for this cache twice over the past few days. The first time with the 2 older geokids and actually found the cache but thought it was something else so we dismissed it. The second attempt I took Mr S and we concentrated on a different POI. Received a message from thewins5 to meet at gz to make the find.. thankfully the cache had been extracted before my arrival. Log happily signed and another yamutha puzzle ticked off the list
Woo hoo. Pleased to finally sign this log!!! Container found on the ground by hubby. Will msg CO pic of where we placed it back.
After a couple of intense days of caching around the area I wanted to take things a bit easier. I decided that I would revisit some of the DNF caches and see if I could turn that frown upside down. I also wanted to grab some of the caches that were just a bit further to drive.
After the earlier DNF on this cache the CO confirmed that I had the correct resolved coordinates so I thought I would have another look.
A very intriguing puzzle.
At the GZ it was a quick find. The log was a tad damp. TFTC.

I had spent a long time staring at this puzzle so when it was finally solved it was a must to collect however on this occasion I have come up short. Given the fact that the CO has done a recent cache check I put it down to cache blindness...I hope to try again this trip...
Rapidlywild mentioned her plans of heading south for a family occasion so one of the FurfacesLL team went along for a drive to get out of the house and company.
We covered a lot of ground over the few days away and grabbed a number of smilies along the way.
Thanks Rapidlywild for indulging our last minute decision to join you on this adventure.
Thanks for dropping me off and picking me up from the airport and thanks for the laughs.
Thanks to all the cache owners for their placements we had a blast collecting them.

I had plans made to travel to Morwell, VIC for a surprise family b'day party and had made the decision to drive as I wanted to collect a large part for the new GeoUte in VIC. I had told FurfacesLL #1 of my plans and being she is off work at the moment, I soon had a driving companion for the journey. The weekend was alot of fun, many km's covered, some random locations visited, a nice range of caches found, a number of visits to the Mel Airport and all in all, a fantastic weekend.
Thanks for the cache hide yamutha was another great GeoAdventure across NSW and VIC

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. I had looked at this cache when it was published but didn't get anywhere with solving it. Periodically I have looked at it again, and finally when I checked it recently I managed to solve it. I think my eyes must have been stolen along with the cache as I could swear I had looked there before and didn't see the answer. Today we made the find. The cache was a little sad, the log is soaked and the decoration had come loose, and to top it off it was just lying out on the ground. We replaced it nearby as we couldn't work out where it was supposed to be hidden. TFTC

Today was a day off work driving my men folk to Albury for a competition- 8 hours driving there and back. A small compensation was the chance to collect a few puzzles I had solved ages ago. Eleven altogether found today - mostly puzzles and a few trads on the way home to Canberra.
Another puzzle solved and found. This was a bit tricky to solve at the time, but now with a bit mod experience under my belt, I would find it a bit easier. The find was also tricky - took a few cacher circles and a close look around GZ to finally spot the cheeky little cache!
Thanks yamutha for the cache! Tricky hide!

**# 20178**. Found with Mrs Roosta on a hot sunny drive around.
Hardly any muggles around and a good variety of hides.
A lot of options here and finally located the sneaky hude.
Thanks for the cache yamutha,

I found it! But I don’t want to be accused of theft, so I left all as it was and signed the log! TFTC & TFTP yamutha
We finally had a bit of a laugh when we worked out how to solve this one. So today as we worked our way around a certain glemvcaught our eye and we made the find and added our names to the log. TFTC.
Wee arched for awhile and could not find the cache. Fox in job made the discovery in the grass. It appears that the cache may have been dislodged from its hiding spot. Log signed DSD.

Heading home to Canberra from the mega with Fox in Jox, DarkSideDan & ZQX, we stopped here for a not so quick find. The puzzle had been solved a few months back for a previous caching trip, but we had too many to find then. It took us a while to spot the cache as it seemed to have fallen from its correct location. TFTC.

The sharp-eyed Fox in Jox made the find at GZ. I had looked near that exact spot and seen nothing.
The puzzle had me flummoxed for a while, until I embarked on a thorough examination of everything if everything on the cache page.

Down for the Mega with ZQX, Darkside Dan and TikvaNZ. Solved this a while back. Today, on our way back from the Mega, we stopped to collect. Took a while to find at GZ, as container was on the ground. TFTC
Out and about on a Sunny Saturday with the Ez boys clearing out some of our pile of solved Yamutha caches. We decided on 2 more before we headed for home and seen as this one hasn't had some love for a while, we thought it was time to actual stop for it.
Out of all the Yamutha puzzles this prob caused us the most troubles and kicked ourselves when we finally figured it out. We sure didn't make it a straight forward solve.
As we approached GZ the race was on between the boys, however when we arrived it was covered in bird droppings so no one wanted to touch it! The eldest Ez boy took the honours! They soon forgot about the birds and were impressed by the small detail on the container.
I'm not sure I'll say thanks for the puzzle......maybe just thanks for the grey hairs instead!?
Added our name and we headed off for just 1 more for the day.

Joint FTF with Coruze (the brains). We approached GZ and realised that
we did not have a pen between us, bugger, OK there is a slight chance
that there may be a pen in the cache. Nope, there wasn't so we retreat
to the closest shop and return. Signed the log and replaced cache.
Thanks yamutha

Well.......
I saw the notification come through yesterday for this puzzle and decided to check it out
Noticed my name in it so I had to solve it A nice straight forward puzzle but cheeky too!
Anyway I'm not a FTF'der and it was way to hot for me to go anywhere yesterday but I decided that if my name was in it - the least I could do is go find t right?!
Headed out today and when we got to near GZ I realized that I didn't have a pen, which was non believable to troo cause I could open a stationery shop generally but I cleaned all pens out the day earlier!!
So off we went to the shop to buy a pen and then back we go to sign the log.
Thankfully it was only a short stroll and the cache was found nicely tucked away in it's hidey hole. The little bit of thought in the hide was definitely noticed......if only it was a real one.......[:p]
Thanks for the fun yamutha - this may give me a little egg on to find your other puzzle caches I've solved....but then again it is getting a bit warm today too! [^]
