Turns out I forgot to disable this one. A move of house and work has gone in the way of geocaching, but in the return of my hiatus, this cache will be replaced soon.
It took quite a bit of scratching around like a brush turkey to get CIH. TFTC J-P S
Arriving here, I searched without luck for quite while.
I was about to give up when I moved my search focus about 12m then quickly found cache

Tftc, quick park, walk into the park, and grab. Been driving past this one for a while since it was placed.
OCW Rodney1210. A quick find by Rodney here. It me longer to park the car than for him to make the find! Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC!
The coords were good and the hint was even better. A quick find and I'm off to the next one. TFTC

Birthday parties are the best excuse to go to a new area and walk around. Today I walked with 7 year old Jarrah about a kilometre to get this one. Quick find after placing the photo in the right orientation. TFTC.
Not a great place to go snooping around with apartments not far away
But nevertheless a quick find, cache in good nick and soon replaced quickly to move onto the next

The hint wasn't that accurate, more like log and stone...
I was amazed to see two bush turkeys close to GZ with a huge incubating mound, and it such a small park!

This one didn't take too long to find although it wasn't where it should have been.
I could see where it was supposed to be but it was lying on the ground about half a metre away.
Once I found it, everything else was a breeze. No one in the park at all today which made this a nice, simple and easy cache.
This could have easily turned into a muggled cache.
Thanks for the cache.

Great spot for a brief rest during a long walk around the bridges. Surprisingly, there was no-one in the park when I visited today. Easy find. TFTC
After finding "Mangroves" I noticed this one not far away so I drove up. Parking was a bit difficult but the cache was quickly found.
Thanks again J-P S.

My GPS was putting us a bit off. After looking at recent logs and pics it put us in the right location

I was exited to look for a newly place cache and it was on the way home.
What a great little, hidden away, park.
Fortunately the park was empty so I have plenty of searching time in peace.
Yes GZ coordinated had me searching an area no where near where the cache is.
Thank you for the pic off the playground from the perspective near the cache and helped narrow the search down.
Ahh yes, met the baby bush turkey. I think I met its older siblings on the short walk to here from the Geomobile.
Okay SL and replaced the cleverly placed cache.

Find # 1021. Found at 2:49pm.
I convinced my boss to give me half the day off following Australia Day yesterday. I was hoping to get away a bit earlier but I made it here eventually. My original plan was to head over to Lake Parramatta to tackle the series along with a few others close by but I decided it was too far.
I knew I had a cluster of unfound caches in the Abbotsford area so I thought I would head over here instead, it also happens to be on the way home. I ended up with a couple of DNF's which both had a string of DNF's prior to my own so I didn't spend too much time on them. I finished the day with 8 finds which I was content with.
'Boyla Reserve' was my eighth find for the afternoon. I had never noticed this park was here after driving past so may times over the years. Not that I was looking for it but it's a nice little secluded park. Once I arrived I plugged in a previous finder's coordinates and I was away. Soon enough I made the find with no problems.
Signed log, thanks for the cache J-P-S

Another hot day - so for some insane reason I decided to try this previous DNF that's leered at my from my GeoMap for so long...
Of course a long search turned up nothing - again. Mind you, the DNFs are really piling up here so it shouldn't be a surprise.
Went elsewhere for a find for the day and then... a problem turned into a welcome surprise.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
After my DNF at *Falls Creek* I came here.
Went to get out of my car and put on my cap... where's my cap? Back at *Falls Creek* of course. Sigh. Looks like I need to return. Great.
First I checked at the published coordinates. Nothing likely, but at least the park has a bubbler. Needed that.
Checked the logs. Aah. Used **Equipe des fous'** coordinates and soon made the find.
Completed signing duties and replaced. No sign of the bush turkey chick though.
OK, time to retrace my steps...

Found after spending too much time looking around the posted coordinates, then on the wrong side of the mound, checking out lots of objects that were just, well, objects. Eventually changed tack, checked out the brush turkeys and made the find. TFTC
It was great to see the chick, about 4 inches tall.
Please note that you don't have to go too close to the brush turkeys mound.

Where to for today's cache?
Well its tennis season so I need to head to Tennis Ranch in Gladesville and get the latest stuff, or a bargain more likely and I saw this cache was nearby so I came here.
I used Equipe des fous' co-ordinates and made a quick find. Signed the log with a juvenile brush turkey looking on.
Brush turkeys - the male builds and maintains the mound and the chicks emerge fully feathered and self sufficient and usually the parents have nothing to do with them, as with this one. It's a huge mound, especially for this small park which surely does not produce this amount of litter to create a mound of this size. I would suggest it started life as a mulch pile and along came Mr Turkey and thought you beaut someone's done all the hard work for me and he continued the job. Obviously from the size of the youngster there's plenty of feed here as he/she is at least a month old.
Nice to see a young brush turkey so close up.

4/1/17. 5:28 PM. Cache #4651.
4th of 5 finds - Concord West, Liberty Grove & Gladesville.
Spent an hour or so re-cleaning out my 12km radius. Drove here after getting three down near Liberty Grove, the last one being "On the Rocks". I came prepared to use Edf's coords, and they certainly were more helpful. I tried one side of the mulch pile, then walked around to the other side where I spotted something matching the hint, then got the find.
Then I realised the mulch pile was a brush turkey mound - a very urban one! - and there was a chick scratching around along the back fence. I left him to his scratching (no sign of mum & dad turkey) and headed on to "Mangroves". TFTC.

02/01/2017 {FTF} joint with morry9 at 3:31 PM.
In an attempt to recover from an unusual and unfortunate bout of the summer sniffles, I was resting at home on this New Year's Day public holiday when I noticed a number of new caches had been published. Being relatively close by, I thought I would battle the man flu head on and face the outside world for the chance of a First To Find. Morry9 agreed to meet me at Banjo Patterson Park, to tackle 'Mangroves' first. There were a couple of muggles loitering around, so we waited for them to move on before heading down the goat track to Ground Zero. The co-ordinates were pointing us up the embankment but I figured we needed to switch strategies by trusting the clues provided in the description. I eventually spotted something suspicious about 20m away from the published co-ordinates and soon had the Cache In Hand! Please note, YOU DO NOT NEED TO STEP ON THE MANGROVES TO FIND THE CACHE, so please be careful not to damage them.
It was then onto 'Boyla Reserve' in Gladesville for the next First To Find opportunity. Again, the co-ordinates were not pointing us to anything obvious and, after recovering a lost soccer ball and basket ball in the bushes, we widened our search to the other areas of this small park. I, again, spotted something likely and the cache revealed itself soon thereafter! There was a baby brush turkey running circles around the park in an effort to get away from us, and I am sure it was just as glad when we made the find (and stopped with the stalking).
Next it was onto the newly published 'Henri Dunant', another small and hidden park in Ryde. Jase90 was on en route and agreed to meet us there. Upon arrival we had to wait for a young family to finish using the play equipment for its normally intended purpose, before we could start searching for the cache. As soon as they left, we swooped on the suspected spot and it was not long until we had the Cache In Hand!
On the way home, we all decided to stop by another recently launched League13 cache, 'Micro Street', which I missed out on the other day (but morry9 had found the 'decoy'). It was a quick find, so we had a few minutes to spare to help in the outfield for the in-progress cricket match in the adjacent field.
Thanks For The respective Caches, J-P S & League13! A great way to start 2017!!

New coordinates haven't yet taken effect on the map, and I'm not sure why. Anyways And yes, Equipe des fous, the guy on the bike would have been me.
Joint {FTF} with JordsAU. Coordinations are way off by 25 metres! Good hide. Thanks for the cache!
Well it is a great place to get the kids outside! A muggle mum did just that as I approached so I didn't enter and went to Coles instead. Coming back 10 minutes later, I saw a guy on a bike ride in and jump into an area of the park very quickly. By the time I parked the car he was way gone. I wondered if it was a cacher, or perhaps the CO? Anyway I found the cache where he went. Thanks to the FTFs for pointing out the distance from the listed, I have added some new co-ords here from the satellite view.
