Today's the day to follow 'the path or paths less followed'. It is also the day to not worry about getting wet, so there was no hesitation to head into the long wet grass.
The container was quickly found and I was a little surprised to find the log book damp despite it be triple containered. Still signable though.
Thanks for putting this here

Came here with rusty and Aiden, the other 2 (Rebel and tramyard) decided enough was enough and headed back to the carpark. We aren't on the main path around the lake and broadened our walk somewhat! By the time we get back it will have been 3hrs 10mins for our round trip and 7.12km according to Strava. Tonight we head home, after staying the night in Huntly camp ground last night.
It seemed like ages my 2 partners in crime were here signing us in, so I went back to the comfort zone, the shade of the trees while I waited. Boy I wish I had my e-bike here today. It's been a really fun day all the same. Thanks McCCC.

A plan was made with Gorby and tramyard to travel down from Auckland to Turangi for a celebration event at Stump Bay on the 27th before heading up to camp at Huntly and attending a celebration event on the 28th. In total, we traveled 740km over the two days.
We had a number of hours to kill before the event at 1pm, so we decided to target the caches around Lake Puketirini after breakfast. We underestimated how long this walk would take, as it took us over 3hours to find all the caches in the area.
Couldn't wait to get this one signed before heading for the shade of the trees to get out of the incessant heat.

There is time and room for one more, or is it?
We are almost at the end of this epic walk, hopefully no one is sun burnt or suffering from dehydration? thank goodness I went back to the car to get my water bottle at the beginning of this quest, of I would have been really suffering right now!
Legs getting tired, the heat, and we have an event to attend.
Happy to have this one found, thanks for the hide McCutchan Cache Clan

Day 2 of our Labour weekend caching mission, and also happens to be a significant day for me yearly...... Our group decided to head down Huntly way for a good variety of cache types and then head inland and back up to Auckland.....some of use a little jaded from the impromptu high elevation gain hike yesterday, we eased ourselves into search mode.....
Signed is as SEAC to save logbook space and allowing us more time to enjoy the area which surprised us as to how many scenic places are hiding in Huntly....
Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining caches here.....and to mother nature for the awesome weather we had......
After having had a discussion re dinner we decided to garb these few and head back into Huntly for Dinner and make other plans to carry on into the night....
TFTC.

Labour Weekend has historically been a minimum 3 day Team SEAC all out adventure so a little while ago I started planning some fun for us. After a walking day yesterday, today was a driving one and more about the numbers and clearing out an area we have had our eyes on for a while. Ended up being a massive day (left home around 8.30am and got home at 1:40am!)....it wasn't called a Mega Mysterious Weekend for nothing. Enjoyed the fun with friends...just like the 'old' times.
Quick find which was good as we were now all discussing dinner....its already 8pm and we have hardly stopped!
Thanks for the cache

Last year, Team SEAC members went on a road trip down to Cambridge to clear out as many of the caches in that town and its surrounding areas. On the way home from that trip, we stopped off in Huntly to do the night cache. After completing the night cache, we vowed to come back to Huntly and grab as many of the caches in that area as we could. Today was that day.
From where we were parked near GC2KGVM - Huntly Fuel Stop, we had to walk a wee way in order to get to a suitable place to enter the area where GZ was located. So we all trudged down the entry point and made our way to the cache. Once there, with fading light, we soon found the cache and signed the log.
The log was signed as Team SEAC in order to preserve log space.

In the absence of a MEGA event this Labour Weekend, Keylev had spent some time planning a Mega Mysterious Weekend for members of Team SEAC (a group of cachers from south and east Auckland who often cache together). Today's plan was to head south and find as many caches as we could around the Huntly area. In the group today is HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-Crane, NurseDr, Keylev, UncleSamNZ, Liverkiwi. Logs were sighed SEAC or Team SEAC to save space. It ended up being a long day and a bit - leaving the start point at 9 am and returning home after 1:30 am the following day.
Cache found. We replaced the log sheet here.

Out with Team Seac for another day of adventures. We did a full day of caching on the Saturday with a long hike! And decided to head down to Huntly for the day. I really enjoyed my time around here, and would like to come back again. Some us finished at 10pm, some finished at 1amish!
Sorry for the generic logs. Thank you for taking the time to place this cache.
Out with KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, NZTravellers, LiverKiwi, NurseDr. All logs signed “Team Seac” or similar to save log paper.

A lovely walk all be it a bit hot and another cache found on our way back to the start.
I feel like you might need to wade in winter to get to this cache, no problem today though. TFTC

Definitely a path less traveled, did the naughty thing of driving and then parking and fence jumping.
No worries with the find thanks.

Last one along my wander. Another quick grab. On my walk back to the car I started wishing I had brought water with me. Quite a few swimming in the lake. Could of just jump right in there myself. Great day. Tftc.
Yeah my last one in Huntly except for a few puzzles. Huntly is now a sea of yellow faces. Thanks for all the placements around the town.
Good quick trip around the path on my new electric Scooter. interested looks from the mower men pasted by the track. No walkers around.. TFTC
I was in Hamilton at a bit of a loose end while the snail shell was having some maintenance done on it and what better way to spend the time finding some caches.
Time to visit Huntly to sign off a few newish caches since I was last here.
Cheers for the cache.

In the area, with time up my sleeve, I thought I'd swing by and collect this. No issues with the find, thanks for placing MCC! #2129
At first we couldn't find this one but then spotted it on the ground nearby.
Fortunately it was undamaged with a nice dry log thanks to the triple container.
We have now returned it to where it belongs.
Really enjoying this walkway. TFTC.

What a beautiful day to spend in Huntly collecting some caches and doing some lovely walks It was a great day and only a couple of DNFs. It was a lovely walk around Lake Puketirini and a bit of Lake Waahi. Thanks to the COs and all caches were good TFTC
Had a search long here on my last visit ..happy as today was more fruitful thanks for maintaining this cache Mc clan
Well, couldn't miss this one!! Great to see so much planting going in around the lake. There is some very recent planting on the lakes edge. Thanks for replacing this cache McCutchen cache Clan
No luck here checked every large with in 15 meters of GZ...might be worth a check by CO
Searched all the posts. Gz post had a tell tale space where it looked like a container had been recently. Blast
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Finally. Woo hoo.
Easy from correct approach.!
Was caught in approaching cows earlier.
All ok.

Out with team BOPnJAM today to knock off the long anticipated 52.
Now the 52 is done and dusted, we were able to concentrate on the rest of the Huntly caches including many pre-solved puzzles caches.
A nice little side loop after taking the long way around first.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks MCCC.

Out for a day's caching with Team BOPnJam. What? there are lakes in Huntley!!!!
We went for a wander around the lakes and the rest of Huntley and found what we could find, only a couple of DNF's for the day, pretty happy and not so late night.

We joined up with a team from the BOP and Merlot58 to collect caches for the Hidden Creature souvenirs. Signed the logs as BOPnJAM to save room on the log. We followed the geotrail towards GZ and quickly had the cache in hand.
Out with teambopnjam for the day caching plan for today was to do the pick up 52 trail and all of Huntly then we headed back to Hamilton via highway 1B collecting caches and a few in Hamilton then home to bed we were home by 10pm so not to late . Great day only had a few DNF for the day so faorly happy with that.

Another big trip planned this time in an effort to obtain all the Hidden Creature Souvenirs. Team BOP (Davidson clan, McJandals, Frogybecaching, TNXPro & myself) joined with a couple of Westies (Jag50&Merlot58) to fill up the van and clear Huntly off the caching map We signed the logs as BOPnJAM for expedience and to save on log space.
A quick little trad at the start of what is turning into quite a long walk. Had to be a little careful tip toeing around all the new native plantings. Cheers McCutchan Cache Clan, TFTC.

With Hidden Creature souvenirs up for grabs. A plan was hatched with our Westie buddies. We were all ready for a stormy rainy day but the weather gods were good to us today with no rain until getting home at 10pm. A fun day was had by all and many thanks To all the COs for giving us a reason to come here. We had a nice mixture of cache containers, types, DTs and hides. We signed as BOPnJAM to save room on the logs. Please excuse my cut and paste logs in advance due to numbers. Cheers
Team BOP, Jag50 and I were in the area to get our numbers for the Hidden Creature souvenirs. The stormy weather that had been forecast hadn't eventuated so it ended up being a nice day for a walk. We signed as BOPnJAM to save space on the log
Arrived here with Janno216 after complete 52 Cache Pickup along Waikato River. Day is short now in NZ but we still had some time before sunset so we decided to give a go few more hides in the area. This one was one of them. Quick find at GZ. All good here. TFTC
Some time ago tramyard and me already thought about doing this 52 Cache Pickup Trail. Today we both were free and it didn't rain so we made our way to Ngaruawahia (what a name !), prepered our bikes and started our journey.
After finishing the Trail we had still some time until the sunset so we dicided to walk in to the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve to grab four more Caches.
But we were still in Hunting Fever so we did another four more Caches in Huntly!
Nice and quick find here!
Thanks for hiding!

I was in the general area, so I stopped to grab this one which was hidden after I originally swept the area. TFTC.
Out and about for a spot of cache detection this afternoon. Taking the opportunity, between infrequent showers, to enjoy a drive into the Waikato. Making my way back north now, to the CO's event at Rangiriri Pa. But not before I collect these three new hides, placed since my last caching adventure around the lake. I parked up on Rotowaro Road at a farm gate and made my way across the grass and through the trees, between the ponds to GZ. Its starting to get overgrown around GZ. Anyway, I tried a few likely spots before getting the right one. Cheers for the cache placement!
Been in Hamilton working for the day and still needed 190 points to get all the planet souvenirs so decided to tackle a few on the way home.
Decided that Huntly had a few caches that we hadn't attempted so turned off and headed to the other side of the river.
Followed the geotrail for this one and it lead me straight to the cache.

In town getting some ftf on some new caches so might as well clean up the town of unfound caches. 1 of 11 for the day. Never new this path was here. TFTC
I was very glad of the gumboots here as I went slightly cross country and needed to still be presentable for visit to the hospital to see a family member. Followed the geotrail here for a nice quick find. TFTC
Today was a bit of a maintenance day as only had a couple of hours spare so headed out to the "Eyes" only to find all caches in place, never-mind, at least this gave me some time to collect a couple of outlyers that I've not made the time to locate previously.
Parked at the published coordinates and path to GZ. Had the entire place to myself and it wasn't long before the cache was located and took a moment to reflect that I would rather be caching that following in the suit of the CO and sitting an exam. What a fantastic winters day, may there be many more of them.
thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement

Nice day for a drive to clean up a some Huntley and surrounding area caches.
Parked about a kilometre away so I could get a decent walk in.
Dropped in a couple of TB,s.

This one is more like a path less peddled than a path less travelled.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Having worked two consecutive weekends, I was keen to get out & about today, rather than spend my day off doing nothing more than catching up with chores. Decided on Huntly for a walk & hopefully a few caches, so headed here. Parked up & headed off along the path. Nice walk in autumn sunshine this morning, cache all good, TFTC
7.05pm - We decided the straight line was the best so straight over the fence to find cache. SLTFTC
I have to admit we parked on the main road and jumped the fence then walked over to the cache site, rather than do the 700m walk from the beginning of the track! Through the trees we went, then spotted the path to GZ. Nice quick find. I have to admit it was hardest to get back over the fence!
We are hoping to attend two events today (both are required for my current license challenge)... Also picking up the odd cache as we go.
The event mission was quickly done and dusted, and we had heaps of daylight left. We decided to join up with RWIMF and have a look at the 'Path Less Travelled' caches... We decided to skip the 700 metre walk from the suggested parking coordinates. We parked nearby and jumped the fence. The hide was quickly located and the business done. TFTC.

Finished work for the first week back from the holidays, so decided to celebrate and grab a few caches that I haven't got yet. Been wondering if there were going to any more in this series, we will just have to wait and see. Parked up near #1 and ran around to each cache in this series, well as much as I could of in the afternoon heat. Had no real issues with any of the hides, thanks for the series.
2707 Out in Huntly to fill my 2nd to last dot day. These 3 were on my list. Nice walk around. Nice easy find. Took TB
Finished work early to head to the Huntly area to get some caches Boats were on the water so a great view while walking tftc
Third find in this trail, but I have a feeling there might be more to come....
FTF, A nice brisk walk on a nice brisk morning, TFTC.
Nice to see a new series happening,on a pleasant walk,
Thanks to the Clan.
