Logs
Log needs replacing, unfortunately didn't have a spare with us today. BeachBees and The Sondergards, working together, lots of rockhopping and peering in holes, found after about 15mins. TFTC!
Found it Took like half an hour because my GPS was off by 4 meters We were about to leave when I spotted it out of the corner of my eyeTFTCFound it with my mum who gave up halfway through
After another big day in the snow, I decided to pick off the this hide near the turnoff to my accommodation. The road into the parking area was pretty rough, but it was interesting walking by the frisbee golf course! But a short walk took me to another interesting rock formation with a nice view over the lake. A short look soon discovered a surprising hide! This wouldnt last long where I live, really could do with a little camo help.
Unfortunately I could not find it, even after some 10 minutes search. It was already getting dark, and I did not grab into all possible holes, to avoid contact with possible animals.
A glorious t-shirt winters day. I went round in circles a few times, but easy once I'd glimpsed it. Log book coyote do with being replaced soon as it is fairly full. TF TC
Our daughter, we call her Lulin-girl, is studying for a semester at the University of Sydney and was enjoying the great area today. She was able to find the cache good and enjoyed the view during her meal with her new friends from Australian. Thanks for maintaining the cache and warm greetings from Switzerland to Australia
Found with Jessticulate and friends. Our last Jindabyne find of the weekend before heading out to grab a few more caches on the road. A great view. Will have to come back to get the nearby island cache another time. TFTC
13:33on this day we wanted to visit mt kosciuszko, but the weather voted against this plan - heavy rain/snow during the night and in the morning and -10 degrees. we are not equipped for such conditions, so we made replacement plan and found some caches around jindabyne.thanks for the cache.
Visiting from the US, specifically Ohio, on a grand adventure leading up to the Capital Geobash. Started the journey with a few days in Sydney and then ventured out towards the blue mountains. From the blue mountains a trip towards jindabyne happened with the plan to hike up to the top of Kosciuszko. Thanks for the cache. Signed Log.
Day 5 - Adelaide to GC9PNFB - Capital GeoBash Mega - Canberra ACTAfter leaving the caravan park LB and I took a short drive to another parking area where we cooked up a killer breakfast and walked, much to our legs disappointment, to the cache. I think my legs still think Im walking down Mount Kosciuszko . Then it was back on the road for the final leg of this adventure from Adelaide to Canberra.TFTC FOX DARCKeep smiling
Beautiful views from here! Staying at a nearby hotel so had to make the walk down to search for this one. Excited to do some hiking and caching in the area tomorrow. Thanks for the cache hide!
On a road trip to attend Capital Geobash Mega and see many different sights along the way. Today we are looking around Jindabyne and caching with 2beez.A beautiful day on the lake today. Thanks FOX D'ARC for creating for us all to enjoy. Cache in good condition. ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Wt
Staying at the caravan park near by so we can enjoy the national park and have somewhere for the dog thats so very hard up here!
Searched around for quite some time to no avail. Wed already encountered one brown snake today so we werent keen on rummaging around the leaf litter and twigs. Previous posts commented GZ between 5-8m out so without a more precise location, was a bit too tricky.
Found with deshadybear! I wondered why this cache had so many favourites, and after scrolling through the old photo's I can see why. Unfortunately the cache is just a cheap plastic tube amongst the rocks now, and has lost it's charm.Took us about 10 minutes to locate as well, not a easy sized container to look for in this sort of terrain. Thanks for bringing us here though, nice to get up close to the lake from this perspective, and also enjoyed using the gym equipment on the way back to the car!
Bevor wir nach 2 Monaten Arbeit hier in Jindabyne abreisen, haben wir den Cache noch schnell gefunden und uns ins Logbuch verewigt.
We hopped all over the rocks but sadly couldn't find and we gave up - just too hot and windy.
A little elusive for us but after a bit rock jumping, spot the little tackler.
GEOJoh and Abstaria out for a sibling reminiscence in the area we grew up in. Fun times. TFTC!
Took some finding. Our GPS was sending us 5m onto the wrong plane. Went back to basics and looked for likely hidey holes. Great location. Thanks for bringing us here. Undercover Duo.
Such a beautiful spot. Got here just after the rain so everything was shining in the rain. Found with wadigal - she's number one
Found by The Empire + HLeaving the coastal town of Merimbula, we ventured into the hinterlands, where rolling hills and farmlands painted a picturesque backdrop. The road meandered through quaint villages, each with its own unique character, creating a sense of tranquility as we gradually bid farewell to the coastal vistas. As we ascended into the Snowy Mountains region, the landscape underwent a dramatic transformation. Verdant hills gave way to towering eucalyptus forests, and the air became crisper with the promise of alpine adventures. The winding roads revealed glimpses of distant peaks, a prelude to the majestic scenery that awaited us in Jindabyne. The drive not only showcased the natural beauty but also offered opportunities to explore hidden gems along the way. Stopping at scenic lookouts, we marveled at the sweeping vistas that unfolded, capturing the essence of the Snowy Mountains grandeur. Arriving in Jindabyne, the alpine town welcomed us with its laid-back atmosphere and a sense of adventure lingering in the mountain air. The proximity to the Snowy Mountains and the promise of outdoor activities created a palpable excitement as we explored the towns vibrant streets. Thanks for the cache FOX D'ARC.-M
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. water level way down.
Straight forward find. Walked down to the lake, lovely full moon tonight, great view.Found quickly and headed off to find some more before dark. Thanks for the cache!
#4450 Last time I was here in February this cache proved elusive and I was getting the same vibes here this morning. Searching around the rocks it was around five minutes or more before I found the cache barely concealed some 7-8 metres from where my GPS wanted me to be.After logging I placed it back as found. TFTC.
Great spot, lots of places to hide but just noticed it while climbing around the rocks. TFTC
Homebound after spending a week fishing in the high country, then down along the Sapphire coast. I decided to go home via Jindabyne this time as I've never been that way. Parked up and enjoyed my little walk to here. It's an awesome spot and view of the lake. FP awarded.TFTC!
Great group today out caching and we found it pretty quickly! Lovely view. TFTC!
Spent way to long looking in wrong places but its such a beautiful view it was worth it. slowly introducing my friend into the world of geocaching, altho for now he’s happy to just tag along for moral support. tftc!
Brought few fellas with me to help me look as I couldn't find it before.
One of the w hints was useful
Tent is still here
But we walked around did some rock climbing and had the cache in hand
Tftc!!

Nice quick easy find travelled from Lakes entrance all the way through to Jindabyne now on our way to shepparton. Quick easy find
Great little hide. Had us searching amongst the scrub for a while before we had success when one of the kids spotted a slightly oddity. First geocache my “too cool” 13yo has participated in, and he is hooked. “Wood” recommend to others
After completing the excellent adv lab cache series here in Jindabyne we tried to grab as many traditional caches before we ran out of daylight having left our torches back at the accommodation. A bit of searching here, turning over lots of rocks eventually had us spotting something out of the ordinary which turned out to be hiding the cache. Beautiful view of Lake Jindabyne from here. Nice hide TFTC
Lovely stroll along the lakeside, passing runners that we had seen closer to town.
I told one lady that she was doing a great job and to keep it up! (We had driven the kilometre to GZ).
Wandered off the path and into the shrubbery and rocks nearby.
I thought I had spotted to prize so directed TBS to where it was located..
Turned out to be an empty Furphy can.
The hunt continued a few more moments and the cache was soon in TBS's hot little hand.

It was an surprising sunny afternoon in Jindabyne and we started our walk along the lake.
After arriving, we search nearly half an hour, turned every stone, but did not found anything. As were quite exhausted but now one of us came out with the container in their hand. We were really happy and allowed oneself a wafer.
Thank you for the cache!

Found on the way back from the main range walk up to kousiosko. You can still see the destruction of the floods so thanks for replacing the cache. Tftc
If at first you don't succeed...
I always intended to have another shot at this one today. This morning I overheard a find, as one cacher called up another for a hint, was put on speaker and then made the find without much of a hint. This made me think I was probably looking in the right place, which made me a bit more confident as I returned.
I returned to what I thought was the most likely hiding place this afternoon after a good run of finds just out of town. I don't know why I didn't look at this at the right angle yesterday, it only took me a minute to find the cache, but it wasn't quite the container I'd expected.

Day 3 of the Jindy Jaunt. After an earlier DNF I noticed this cache has been temporarily replaced, so today I made a second visit together with ZiggiAU and AUBeasty.
Wow, quite a lot of debris from earlier high water levels of the lake. What a shame for all the work that the Council has put into this nice park.
Cache was quickly found.
TFTC.

Quite a tricky find, looked inside the tree but nothing, investigated behind the same tree came up trumps
Found with Troyfindz, thanks to the cache owner and smitten granny for replacing the cache. Not where I expected.
After intel from the brekkie I trekked back to turn our frown upside down. In the middle of the search, 2 more catchers joined in. After a quick PAF, we kept searching, and, with the aid of a natural TOTT, the replacement finally appeared.
Find # 11710
After hearing, at the arvo event, that this cache was replaced, and we got a big hint on where to look.
Robmc and myself headed to GZ and after some scratching around Robmc made the find here.

I'm in Jindabyne with a group of geocachers, including Rama497, for the GCNSW events. Today was a round trip from Jindabyne to Dalgety then to Berridale and back to Jindabyne, gathering caches along the way.
Arrived at GZ to find other cachers there. The container was in plain view this time so an easy grab.
Thanks for the geo-fun. ??

Having heard at the event this afternoon that this cache had been replaced, I thought it would be a sure thing for my last find of the day. Disappointingly, after 20 minutes looking around and with the light going I realised it wasn't to be. Well, it is a D3 cache. I'll come back another day with more imagination.
I had looked for this one yesterday, but no luck.
Then I heard that someone had replaced it, so FUF and I went back.
A quick find in a nice spot.
Thanks, Robmc.
