During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Victor Harbor yesterday and today we travel to Kangaroo Island. This cache is found along the way.**matmob**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. This morning we left our hotel in Victor Harbor early to drive to the ferry to Kangaroo Island. We arrived at the ferry way too early but as it turned out there was just one spot left on an earlier ferry. Great, no waiting and more time on Kangaroo Island. Since our B&B is on the other end of the Island we decided to first visit Cape Willoughby. After visiting this magnificent place we drove into the direction of our B&B stopping whenever there was a geocache because caches often lead you to great places. Thus this cache was also visited. Very lovely little cemetary. Cache was found after a bit of looking around. Thank you very much for this cache.
We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. SL TFTC
Camped for a couple of nights at Antechamber bay and thought I would look for the couple of nearby caches. Enjoyed a walk from the campsite along the river then back along River rd. Found the site and soon had this cache in hand.TFTC
Been camped here a few days but hadn't quite managed to wander over, fi ally made it for a not too arduous find....now to wander to the beach
Interesting spot to stop at, stayed overnight at nearby camping ground beautiful place. A great beehive in nearby peppercorn tree, great honeycomb. Pity where the cache is located though as I fear ones hidden in rocky wallsThanks matmob for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside

I went 6 up down hard in the little swamp that was caused by last night's storm and hurt my shoulder and hip, hubby had to come rescue me and I sent him the extra 10m to find the cache
Signed and left a few treats for the kids

Anticlockwise would have been an easier approach. Managed it in the end and signed the log. Thanks
Unsure who Clark and Lashmar are - may need to do some research when I get home.

What a nice Beach, just around the corner of our stay. Thanks for showing! Great Island!
Found this one on day 2 of our week long family holiday on KI. Geokid 1 and I found this one while hubby and Geokids 2 and 3 checked out the beach.
We had fun navigating the trees to find this one!

And... Another one in Kangaroo island! Very quiet and peaceful spot today, nobody around... Thanks for the cache!
Found on our holiday to KI. This was our last full day on the island so it was focussed on the eastern end. Another great bit of history here today. Its amazing to see what is left of the pioneers. I bet this pepper tree was really small when the grave was made. Now so large. TFTC Matmob.
TFTC I’m wondering who Jane & Thomas were? Nicely maintained. Thanks for bringing us here.
Glad I read the hint! Didn't fancy stepping inside the grave site. Thanks for the cache!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.

Visiting KI to maintain a cache that ended up being replaced by Liz and Bruce yesterday. But as the travel and accommodation was already was booked here we are with time to catch up on unfound caches on the island and to show my international nephew some of the sights.
Some lonely graves here and it seems that people doing young back 150 years ago wasn't unusual.
Thanks for the cache

Day 2 of our KI getaway and now we’ll into our second week of holibobs. What a contrast to Flinders!
We drove from Penneshaw to American River via the western cape, enjoying lunch at False Cape winery, beach walks, stair climbing and glorious weather.
This was our first stop along the way. We had a nice walk on the beach here.
TFTC what an amazing place this would be to camp it’s on our list for ‘next time’

Day 6 of our 6 night break on the Island. Our targets for the last full day were the Western area. Thank you for the placement of the KI CP - Lashmar cache matmob find number 8494 on 14 September 2021 at 2:49 pm
Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
An interesting find for my last cache on KI.
Love a cache with History

Stopped here 2 days ago for a wee stop. Little did we know there was a geocache here!! Haha great spot, we remained respectful to the deceased.
Fascinating spot. It would have been nice to learn more about the pair. Interesting piece of history. Tftc
There are days that you can’t and there are days that you can. No idea how I missed this the other day. TFTC

What an interesting location - thank you for bringing us to this spot. You wonder what would be the stories behind these crosses.
Who were these 2 people on these crosses - be very interesting I would say. Took a little scratching around before cache was found. TFTC matmob
Found on a five day break on and around the wonderful Kangaroo Island.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Sneaky find. A bit creepy searching around the graves. Luckily Daddy Cacher didn’t give up!
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Found per the hint, but out in the open. After performing our duties, we returned to under a rock and hid it better than what we found. Thanks matmob

Found easy whilst staying nearby. We didn't have a pen but took a photo instead.
What an incredibly beautiful part of the world!

Quick find in this interesting spot on the first day of our holiday on the island!!! Thanks for the hide!!
This was day five of a two week trip to Adelaide, starting with Kangaroo Island. This was our last full day on the island, so we went out to Cape Willoughby, then looped back to Penneshaw with a stop for lunch at Dudley Wines.
We stopped right in front of GZ. My nose followed the lovely aroma coming from the tree to the hinted at spot. There were two possibilities, which made me vacillate between the two until I found the cache. TFTC.

Paddled the kayak from Cape Jervis to Antechamber Bay today and camped at Lashmar CP. Gorgeous area to camp and explore. Plenty of bird life and fish. Had dinner on the beach and then took my muggle kayakers for an introduction to caching. Interesting grave site. Found and signed the log. TFTC
I found this on school camp ages ago and I never got to log it. We didn’t have a pen. TFTC
Another beautiful cache on ki visiting from the states this is sadly our last day in ki tftc
Its been a few years since I visited Kangaroo Island, so I headed off for a break for a few days and the chance to grab a few caches.
I managed to find a nice selection of caches over three days in some great places. Its a very relaxing and scenic part of the world!
This was a quick find as I made my way out to Cape Willoughby.
Thanks matmob for the cache.
