Amanda is working for a while in KI and Ive come down to visit for a week. Doing our best to discover every cache on the island during our time. Grabbing the ones along the south and eastern end of the island so and today. Magic weather for it today. Amandas eagle eye found this one pretty quick. During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Victor Harbor yesterday and today we travel to Kangaroo Island.This cache is found along the way.**matmob**, thanks for the cache.

We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. This morning we left our hotel in Victor Harbor early to drive to the ferry to Kangaroo Island. We arrived at the ferry way too early but as it turned out there was just one spot left on an earlier ferry. Great, no waiting and more time on Kangaroo Island. Since our B&B is on the other end of the Island we decided to first visit Cape Willoughby. When we drove on we passed this cache and had a look. The cache was found quickly without any problem. Read the marker. Interesting information. As it turned out we encoutered the names of Nat and Betty more often during our visit of Kangaroo Island. Thank you very much for this cache.

We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. SL TFTC

Camped for a couple of nights at Antechamber bay and thought I would look for the couple of nearby caches. Enjoyed a walk from the campsite along the river then back along River rd. Found the site and soon had this cache in hand.TFTC

21170During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Owl is on Kangaroo Island with Ostrich, Magpie and Bowerbird to celebrate the 80 year friendship of Magpie and Bowerbird. The one advantage for Owl is that Bowerbird is the Magnificent Muggle and absolutely insists on Owl caching. Of course, Owl is happy to oblige. The last day on the island saw more driving, sometimes in driving rain! However, there were still a few opportunities to find more boxes, especially if they have an interesting story attached.

Visiting KI to maintain a cache that ended up being replaced by Liz and Bruce yesterday. But as the travel and accommodation was already was booked here we are with time to catch up on unfound caches on the island and to show my international nephew some of the sights.

A quick drive by but I did stop to read the plaque and then wander off before the needle turned 180 degrees.

Day 2 of our KI getaway and now we’ll into our second week of holibobs. What a contrast to Flinders!
We drove from Penneshaw to American River via the western cape, enjoying lunch at False Cape winery, beach walks, stair climbing and glorious weather.

Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.

We were on the Island with TubbyBooBoo and ZoBo01. Yes this was a great quick drive by, the wine and beers were awaiting, so amazing to read about Nat and Betty. The kids on the school bus were friendly and waved. Thankfully all snakes were away for the day. TFTC

While on KI holidaying decided to find the caches - and this was one of them. Interesting reading - cache found quickly. TFTC matmob

Interesting story. We were visiting friends who live on the property behind the memorial so just had to get this one. The better half has been reading a book about the aboriginals on KI which is part fact and part fiction. Names have been changed to protect the innocent until the latest printing. As it’s not a true record the book has caused some upset on the island. Still a good read though. Easy find. The logbook is a bit damp so if anyone has a spare plastic bag that would be great. Unfortunately I didn’t have one. Thanks for the cache matmob.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.

We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.

Read the plaque, found cache and removed rubbish, signed cache and returned. Thanks matmob for the hide, which is in great condition.

Easy find after visiting the lighthouse... TNLN TFTC

Found by accident, looking at the memorial noticed what I thought was someone’s toilet paper left behind. Investigated and it was this cache. Replaced more securely behind the rock.

Found it! Easy little find!

This was day five of a two week trip to Adelaide, starting with Kangaroo Island. This was our last full day on the island, so we went out to Cape Willoughby, then looped back to Penneshaw with a stop for lunch at Dudley Wines.

Its been a few years since I visited Kangaroo Island, so I headed off for a break for a few days and the chance to grab a few caches.

I managed to find a nice selection of caches over three days in some great places. Its a very relaxing and scenic part of the world!
