I don't think this cache is currently accessible due to railway line repairs after cyclone Gabrielle. Certainly not from the Waitangi Park side.
Out and about today, caching with watcache.
This was our first cache of the day. It took a moment or two to spot the maimai as its getting well overgrown.
However we forced our way through and after a thorough search, the cache was located fallen off it's perch.
Thanks for setting this up

Will be back for bit of bird watching … but explains why I see cars parked up here. Be persistent and you will find
Finally got my bike fixed, so I'm able to go a lot further now than I have been recently. Think I might need a drink after this one. Spiders. Why did it have to be spiders?
Thanks for the cache, nice way to end a beautiful sunny day.
Thanks for the cache, nice way to end a beautiful sunny day.
todays caching trip was to sunny Napier.
squirrel Nutcase and I left Rotorua at 4.02am
good drive down with very little traffic on the road.
plan was to make a sweep around city ,down towards Hastings back through Taradale and back to Rotorua tonight. we arrived back just before 10 pm with several caches ticked off.
we were able to almost drive to this cache. couple of locals opened gates for us and a bit of mud driving we got to it.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… In an effort to smash the next level of the ‘Reach the Peak’ challenge, we pre planned this little road trip weeks ago. To get a jump on the day, we were on our way at precisely 4:02 AM. With little traffic to contend with, we were able to hit the ground running well before 7:00AM…
We were extremely observant… We noticed that vehicles were parked out yonder and people appeared to be whitebaiting… A vehicle load of young hoons were racing around, trying to find a convenient exit. We watched and waited… Hmm! That gate quietly swings open. And so does that one…
We were able to drive within a hundred metres of this hide. We figured where to begin searching, but the hint threw up a few possibilities. Thanks Jodiporsche and TFTC.

I attempted to do these in reverse order, which in hindsight, was probably not the best way to do it. Achievable, but didn’t suit where I had parked the car (not where the CO suggested). The container was on the ground so I returned it to where I thought it belonged. Great view from the hide, and plenty of swan to entertain. TFTC
Headed here after finding the last one and a nice bird hide and cache hide. I, like others, came at this the wrong way then backtracked and soon had the cache in hand and replaced as found.
The weekend is here and for a change I've got a four-dayer planned with a trip across from Taupo to Napier to have a couple of nights in Havelock North and local area, followed by a trip back across the Napier-Taihape Road to stay at our daughters for a day before watching the football on Monday and then Coming Home, he's coming home, capperz is coming home (football didn't as it turned out! Well done to Italy.
A few nice caches found, not huge numbers so quality rather than quantity. A few more of the PWGT caches as well as some others here and there, thanks to all COs.

Nice find.i didn't hold out much hope for this one but soon had it in hand ince i worked out ya had to walk around the long way. Thanks for the smiley face.
Found on holiday. Went to the wrong side as usual! Nice spot. All good at GZ. TFTC.
Needed to encourage the older kindercachers to retrieve this one by spotting it first myself.
Will come back here with binoculars.

After William Colenso I walked over to this one. The sun has started to set, but I had no problems finding the cache.
Staying the weekend at Te Awanga as Mrs Rubbishparty is playing her flute in a Mother’s Day concert. Today! Still had time for an early morning cycle ride and collect some smiley faces. Great to see a large wetlands. Cache all fine.
Stopped for lunch nearby and saw these caches. Walked around the lake and made the find.
Me E is a keen birder and we came here for our first visit. Wonderful bird life! One of Mr E's photos is added. A bonus to find a cache here. Found on hands and knees after doing a few yoga moves. Contents all good. TFTC
Over here for the Art Deco Festival and of only a couple of caches targeted this was one of them. Nice early morning bike ride before others were up for the day and an enjoyable cache to complete.
Nice early ride out to Clive for a few caches this being one of them
thanks for the placement

Although it might have been once, "limestone cycle trail" is hardly an appropriate description of the grassy track to the bird hide. We braved the cattle near the start of the track and made our way to the hide. Once there, it took a wee while to locate the cache. TFTC
The last cache for me in this series and after completing the 'Waitangi Regional Park 2' cache I walked along the railway line to this cache. After a few 'nope, not there' moments I soon spotted the cache.

I lived in Napier for 17 years and didn't even know this area existed. A beautiful day for a walk while dodging water logged areas. Lots of swans and pukeko about today.
Before starting the beach clean up, I came here to find this one.
Nice quick walk around. Lovely space to rest and watch the birds.
Good hint. Cache still in place, all dry and good. Thanks for showing me the area

What a great spot. Very cool.
Me and Mum found the track and walked out here. After enjoying a spot of bird spotting, we surveyed the scene for any clues. One was soon spotted and the cache quickly in hand. TFTC!

Mum and Dad had 3 girls on the task today - 6YO and cousins 5YO and 7YO. These girls LOVE caching (especially 7YO cousin!).
The girls had a look - but not a particularly good one - Dad made the find, and the girls were excited by the loot inside! (Which is the reason they cache!!!)

Found it. Great hiding place. Would never known this beautiful lake was here. Saw 15 Spoonbills and lots of other Bird life. TfTC
First Geocaching expedition after a reasonable absence from the 'sport'.
3rd one on our days' list.
Beautiful spot - pity we didn't have our camera with us..... they'd framed the bird lookout beautifully.
Good hint. TFTC

A neat little hidden spot to view the bird life. Wouldn't of known this place existed if it weren't for geocaching. Thanks for the placement. Cheers.
Since this was handy to the William Colenso cache which I had just found, I wandered on to this cache where it was soon found - TNLNSL and left as found.
A nice spot for bird watching TFTC.

Thanks for placing this cache. I had no idea about the bird blind. We saw tons of birds, including swans, 7 spoonbills, lots of ducks and geese, a kingfisher, and many others. What a great spot!
#3543 8 of 18 today.
Day 6 of my NZ trip. Today was a full day in Napier and what a beautiful day it was. It was not an early start due to other activities, so I first headed down to Te Mata peak as I had been advised at the geo-event yesterday. What a majestic place ! but it was quite muggle heavy being a fine Saturday. I grabbed a few of the "easiest" to access caches, that is, those that did not require a day of slogging up and down hills, but even so, some where quite difficult. Then I slowly headed back to Napier and walked along the waterfront, stealthfully grabbing caches as I went. A pretty full day all up.
Wandered over to this one under both bridges - no trouble there. I had to dodge some thistles at gz, but spotted it OK.
TFTC Jodiporsche.

pěkné klidné místo s pěkným výhledem, po pár špatných hmatech jsem krabičku objevil

This is a little gem of a bird watching spot. There were more birds, all intermingling, and at closer range, than I have seen on my many trips round the Ahuriri Estuary. TFTC.
A quick stroll from the car to gz ..... Boy it wasn't smelling very flash in the area today!! Neat little hut at gz although looks like the birds like to use it for shelter as well!! We watched the birds for a bit then looked for the cache which was right where it said it should be. Nice area. Dropped TB Log signed b&p. Find number 4195.
Thanks for the cache Jodiporsche.

This was my second visit to this quiet little spot, and a bit of development had gone on since I was here last. I had previously planned on putting some caches here, but never got around it it, so am pleased you have done so. My guess is that unless you have travelled between Napier and Hastings on a train, most people would never know this little spot even existed.
As I arrived a photographer with his massive zoom lense was just leaving.. he had been taking close ups of the wild life, which there was plenty of.
Cache was quickly found, exactly where I expected it. log signed, and I was off to the next one.
Favourite point from me - just because I think it such a neat spot. TFTC

A quick find with a fellow geocacher we meet who was from out of town. Nice to meet you Tuffy. Great spot that we didn't realize was here. Thanks for popping another cache in HB.
As I was staying in Erikson Rd and there were a few caches nearby I thought I would try out an electric bike. What an effortless way to get a bit of "exercise"[:o)][B)].
Here I surprised the Perrett Gard Family and we joined together to search for the cache. Nice to meet you guys.
Cheers for the cache.
