#4557. I have been down south on a work trip but not getting much opportunity to go geocaching. Decided to take a day of leave and rent a car so I could explore some of the caches hidden on the outskirts of Invercargill. Nice warm sunny day as well which makes for a pleasant caching experience. Looks like I will be last to sign this cache as its been archived since I visited on Thursday. I pulled up and started searching but the neighbours dog started barking and came over to see what I was doing. Decided to flag it away as people were at home. But the neighbour came out to ask if they could help. I asked if they knew where the geocache was hidden and they did. Showed it to me so I signed the log and replaced where found. The neighbour seemed friendly enough but I guess having people park close by and having your dog barking at odd hours would become a nuisance. Thanks for the cache Mrs Hazzer. Interesting bit of local history.
Had a pretty good look, but didn't want to hang around too long and attract the attention of the neighbours. Given that others found it easily and its been over 2 months since the last visit it could be worth a check up.
Quickly found this one. It seems that the owner of the property has discovered the cache and is happy for it to stay there according to a note he added in, but went on to say that anything 'interesting' he found in there would be taken by him to put on his mantlepiece, so probably not the best place for tbs/coins to be deposited. Oh ho nice doggy, a little growly though. Did not stick around long, just SL and replaced. tftc

A quick find, the dog let the owner of the house nearby that we were there.
Thanks for the cache Mrs Hazzer

Finally a nice night to be "out there doing it". Pleased to be one of the first few to find it. Thanks.
Catching up on logs after spending a wery wet NY's holidays solving puzzles.
Yeah 2nd to sign log . Was waiting for cache to go live. Usually there is a wery yappy dog here so maybe he's on holiday. Big magnet drew me to the hide after parking up in the early morning. Neat hide and cache sits in noice position out of view. Grabbed two TB's to resume their journeys shortly though left the familiar LOTR's traveler for someone to take North to continue it's mission.
