As a group on men were preparing for a cricket game, geo dog and I walked around the perimeter of the pitch and then walked down the slope to find the cache.
It took not long for it to be found.
TFTC.

Braved the weather to come get this one. The ground was solid underfoot, so no issues with this one. At least I had the place to myself. TFTC

Completely forgot to log this find from months ago to qualify for the digital souvenir for International GC Day 2019. Wanted to log this before finding the logging the two for 2019 / 2020. TFTC Smile

Managed to park the car in the street behind the oval. Then we walked the short distance through the bush until we reached GZ. The cache was found straight away in the first place that was checked. The log was signed and then the cache was replaced as found. Thank you goatrules for placing this cache.

We parked in a large cul-de-sac and took a short walk through a rather nice piece of bush which is obviously being looked after. The cache was in a very likely place so we were soon logged and back in the car. Thanks goatsrule for the hide, I did like this location.

OCW Rodney1210. We took a slightly more difficult route to GZ wondering exactly how this was a T1.5. Once at GZ we were greeted with a decent sized container and logbook. Always a pleasure to see this size in the wild. We laughed when we saw the easy path intended as the usual means of access. TFTC!

25-Feb-18
OCW Coastblue on a wet and miserable day. Started down the path thinking this ain’t no T1.5 then we found the path we should’ve gone on! Cache# 719 TFTC

12:47, 22 January 2018. #1207.

My last day in the Hills for this trip to Sydney and a date to tick off on my caching calendar. I'd been saving this one for today as it was the last cache reasonably close to the geo-rellies' home.

The geo-wife and I drove around to the park, despite knowing there was another parking spot closer, after all, one of the objectives of caching is to spend time walking in the fresh air. With the geo-sister's two geo-dogs in tow, off we walked around the perimeter of the oval fence. You don't have to go far along this path before you can imagine yourself miles from civilisation. Despite which, there were two young male muggles sitting on a log doing not much. At first I thought they might be cachers as their conversation was interspersed with glances at their phones. But it turned out they were just kids relaxing in a shady spot.

Fortunately they were too engrossed in their conversation to pay any attention to what I was doing and the location of GZ loaned itself to a quick, surreptitious pick up. When it came time to replace the cache, the geo-wife and geo-dogs needed to act as a bit of a decoy to distract the boys from what I was doing.

I'm sure I've previously found another cache near here, but no smiley on the map, so it must have been archived.

The cache is in good condition.

TNLNSL. TFTC goatsrule.

Not the best choice of parking spot lead to an interesting trip down the hill TFTC would never have known this little bit of bush existed

21-Jan-18
We walked across the oval and had a fun slide down the hill! Then realised we could park in the street behind! Oh well, it was a great adventure none the less! SL TNLN TFTC!!

13-Jan-18
I drove around to the street behind this park as a cricket match was on in the field.
I nodded to a group of people near gz who i mistook for a bunch of geocachers. Oh well! I just went about my business.
Thanks for the cache.

21st Australian Cache found with Wystan. Enjoyed our walk in the woods to find this one. Such a shame people don't take their rubbish home with them though. Sad

27-Nov-17
Found with Mrs Wystan. We came to the area to get my laptop repaired and rely on geocaching to find us nice places to visit. This one didn’t let us down. Thanks.

Clever hide. Good luck if you're searching!

As we parked at the end of the steet we found the big woofer at the house below was in fine voice. Ignored it and headed off, luckily the right way first time. Picked the right feature and found the cache quickly. Did the necessary writing, replaced the container and returned to the geo vehicle to be farewelled by the still vocal big woofer. Thanks to goatsrule for this cache placement.

One of the closest to home needed to fill my calendar gap. Sounded like there was a game going on above but no one was on the trail. Following iPhone when I spotted something on the way to GZ. Nice to make a quick find. SL and replaced

School holidays... but the clan indulged me. They understand that geocaching is eccentric but that quirks of this ilk are totally awesome. So, after a family breakfast, we set out to Castle Hill where Him Indoors remembered seeing a party shop in the course of one of his own eccentric quirks... bus riding. We needed the party store to get pirate gear for upcoming Mary Hyde treasure hunting Events. And of course I was checking the geomap too. Love goats. And a very nice change from the usual Sydney city nanos. Thank you goatsrule....
(and they do ... ahhhh le fromage de chèvre frais with good crusty French bread!!!!!)

Just a reminder that there is a "findable" archived cache "GC2GF5Y Pooh's Honey Pot" that's located very close to this cache. It's in good shape and just waiting for others to find & log it for a bonus smiley (adds to your cache "found" total, but doesn't show up on your geomap).

Stopped off on my way back home from the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at Quarry Road Dural, to find this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to collect some more caches on the homeward journey. This was the 13th of 18 finds for the day.

After finding "Orange Grove" this was my next stop. Parked the geomobile on Cecil Avenue, and then headed off across the soggy park toward GZ. Soon realised that GZ was beyond the park, so scrambled down the steep embankment and over to GZ. Looked for a short while but, having found nothing, expanded the search and soon uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC goatsrule.

And while I'm here I decided to have a look for a nearby "Archived" cache "GC2GF5Y Pooh's Honey Pot" that another cacher had told me about. And yes I did find it and it's in good shape and just waiting for others to find & log it. Follow the link: www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC2GF5Y_poohs-honey-pot
