I looked and poked around for ages but there is so much gorse it made it difficult and looks like no one has found it in nearly a year anyway. If you go to find it wear gumboots to stand on the gorse and also help with the sheep poo haha luckily I had my gun boots on!
I made my way past the sheep that were hunkered down under the low trees and took a very round about easy to this cache. At GZ I turned to shelter my phone from the rain but spotted the cache before I unlocked it.
The log is quite damp.

I had originally intended on a full morning mission today but after weeks of great weather today is awful. After getting very wet finding the first two caches I decided to just grab the park and grabs and call it a day. Sadly my day also finished with two DNFs. Four finds today in the end.

Came for a walk to here this afternoon after visiting the nearby Tupare garden. A very quick find, all in good condition. Signed log, TFTC!
Great space and local walk during lockdown. New to NP and geocaching always helps us find little quiet pockets. TFTC.
After picking up the hidden creatures cache near by we headed for this one.
The GPS bounced around a bit and clue was fairly general but it still didn't take fairly long to spot the cache in it's hidey hole.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

On a road trip today with Mrs Rattll started off in the dark so would reach our first cache of the day as daylight hit. No muggles here today nice find log signed and cache placed back where found. TFTC lovely spot
Had a gap in our busy schedule so nipped out to find this cache. My GPS was miles out so had to look everywhere. Finally found it. TFTC
Out for a level 2 COVID walk with the geohound on a warm sunny day. Nice walk down to GZ from my home base in Merrilands. All a bit much for the pooch who decided to have a lie down, even after a paddle and a drink in the river. Never mind. Cache found eventually after walking round and round, my phone was not being very helpful. All good once found and signed. BB
A new place for us to walk the dog. He was positively excited here, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Interesting old apparatus here and nicely hidden cache. Dry log, tftc
#12,179. A walk in Balsom Park in New Plymouth District in Taranaki. An interesting farm park in a former quarry. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Out today finding geocaches. Decided to go to the old quarry to find the 2 caches down there. Neat spot to hide. First cache of the day. #169. TFTC.
What a beautiful area. Never visited here before so was nice to come here. Beautiful sunny Easter Friday and lovely day for a stroll.
Today MY 93 YEAR OLD MUM IN law and i set off to walk down the Balsom park track to the caches down in that area. We set off early to avoid the heat and we soon found the quarry and the cache. We sat down there for a while just absorbing the peace and beauty of the area. We saw at least one pair of rosellas and i i took photos of the large deciduous trees all planted a long time ago. The cache was easily located thanks to the hint.
thank you for this cache and the lovely walk down here.

Pleasant Saturday stroll to fill in another dot day.
No problem locating the cache at ground zero but it looked like the sheep had been out the night before preparing the trail down from the car park with their version of bread crumbs.

Checked today and was moved about 5m away from its original spot. Have moved to correct spot. Log is dry and good to go.
Found with trayc.g, logging now as I now have my own account. TFTC Loved playing in the river here.
What a serene walk down to the river! Found cache easily enough and laid wet log out to dry for 20mins while the kids played in the river. It’s soooo warm! Thanks for bringing us to this lovely spot!
A little tricky without GPS. Found it after turning right instead of left as we should've and after having good searches at other areas we thought looked 'quarryish'! TFTC
Found cache but wasn’t able to write our names because the log was soaking wet. Beautiful location and was fun to trek somewhere we hadn’t known existed!
Found, a lovely walk down to GZ in the sun. Found one down here previously so know where to go. A quick and easy find today with LilRuga. TFTC
Out checking out local gardens and parks and discovered this one with a couple of caches . Quick find and signed. Tftc
Lovely spot with the river quite high. I thought that my shoes were clean but once in the car the smell got a bit strong. TFTC
It got to 5pm on Sunday and I didn't have a cache for the weekend. I had to remedy that so decided on this one. I didn't have the time to make the most of the walk but I'll be back to get the other cache nearby. A good hide but i did have the classic 'cookie jar' problem extracting it. TFTC.
Found it, although no tracable. Great spot, tried the have a picnic, but lots of gorse and poop! TFTC
Just what I needed after dealing with teenage girls. A peaceful walk and to be able to sit by the river. Cache quickly found, although I did somehow manage to trip over the boiler and bruise my shin! Clumsy me. TFTC.
Like one of the previous finders I also took the more difficult route, involving fallen trees and a fence to cross. But a great hint, although that was a tight fit to retrieve and replace. It really is a lovely walk down here although you have to watch where you put your feet. Spied the TB but left it for another. TFTC well worth finding.
Popped down in the cool of the evening. Found the cache without difficulty (Good hint) in a cosy spot. Thanks JEN-nz ftc. Some of the animals looked a little sheepish as I walked past.
Well if there is a hard way to do it I will find it went straight to the river then had trees and a fence to climb got there in the end Took geo coin this is a neat spot good to be here again TFTC
Grabbed the rare opportunity for a walk in the sunshine, and a new cache in this pleasant reserve. Really nice hide! Sheep seemed pretty hot in their winter wool though. TFTC
Nice walk to GZ but had to try and avoid the sheep poo while wearing sneakers. It's time the sheep were taken to the shearing shed. Good to see some weed spraying done and thistles grubed. Haven't been down here since the last cache was here . Dropped off geocoin SL TFTC
(FTF) we are so nuts for going out so late. but a lovely place to go and see the end of the day, TFTC
