After dropping MrT at SES at Katoomba, decided to do a couple of caches on the way home. A short walk for a quick find. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

I’m back working in Katoomba and thought I’d grab a few caches while I’m in the area.


I Ness notified about the Wheel of Challenges challenge on and needing to have at least a 2 day streak to earn a souvenir
I’m working in the area and this one wasn’t too far away. Nearing GZ the hides Hole presented itself for a quick and easy find.

I did notice that the Wattana TB was still showing it to be in the cache. I had read in a previous log allenke had taken it but they mustn’t have logged it as picked up, so I sent them a message to log it out.

Navigation is a little off track but a great little hiding spot in the end. TFTC

We had a bit of trouble finding the cache at first. I think we were fixated on the wrong spot. The kids were excited to eventually find it, and even more that it had a toy they liked. We left a couple more toys in exchange.

Cords jumped around heaps but nice find! TFTC. I dropped off 2 TBs ??

Thank you to the creators of this geocache. Not too hard to find and a nice addition to a geocache placed nearby to add to the same days adventure. Watertight container with a small notebook inside I added two pages of my own waterproof notebook to use as a log book or for someone to take should they need a piece of waterproof paper. Found it! Great hiding spot. We decided to take the little fish and chip tracker with us to enjoy our journey around our home area during lockdown.

Went abit off track! It’s closer to walking track

GZ a little off course but geo-instincts led me to hiding place. Nice hide! TFTC!

Ended up going way too far off the track to look for it. Eventually spotted something that could be hiding a cache and there it was. Nice hide. TFTC

In the Blue Mountains this weekend which was meant be for the UTA, so since that was cancelled, we decided to head out and find some caches.

I took the kids down the trail, and once at GZ, we wandered around a bit before eventually finding the right hidey hole. The kids enjoyed the walk through here.

Fun time finding this cache - was actually my 9yo sister who spotted it!

This took way longer to find than expected as the compass needle was taking me all over the bush. It wasn’t until I approached for a different angle that the hide position became apparent and that ah ha moment.
