Its been a while since we did a check here. We did a wander in the light rain tonight and discovered our 8-legged friends have been busy and made the cache very hard to see. We have destroyed their industrious work and freed the container. All good to find again. Good luck.
Fifteen minutes into the extensive search here (with a curious muggle helping ) it started to rain heavily so I'm log reading in the gazebo nearby.
FINALLY! Fourth? Fifth? Times the charm. Cheeky bugger, finally a big fat smiley face
Just a quick check as we were going past on a sunny Friday afternoon, after a DNF and a find recently. All good here, and container hidden as it should be. Thanks for all the favourite points awarded! A few trackables travelling with us visited as well.
Tricky hide! Experience from other caches helped me immensely. Lovely little memorial that brings back memories of my old town.
What a sneaky little hide. As the sun was coming down and limited sun light, we discovered the cache through our sense of touch. TFTC!

Finally found this one! It’s the sort of cache that you could be looking straight at and still not see it.
Thanks for the cache.

I am 100% sure I know what the cache looks like, -100% sure I k ow where it is
I don't mind admitting that this cheeky hide has eluded me more than once.
This time, at long long last, the tiny blighter was found signed and returned from exactly where I hadn't quite seen before.
3rd or 4th time lucky.

The ummm 8 legged house mate wasn’t too pleased I coaxed him out to get it. But very sneaky. TFTC
Checked on this one today after a recent DNF. All good and still in its cosy hiding place.

This was the forty-third find of 53 finds for the day. After attending “Farewell from Wangaratta”, Mizmaz and I decided to check out the traditional that everyone had been referring to. I was not feeling too great standing in the direct sunlight but as Mizmaz searched, several other cachers decided to join in. It seems as though many eyes made light searching work. SL. TFTC.

An unexpected bonus cache for us. I was looking for the time capsule, and stumbled across some fellow cachers who alerted me to the cache. Thanks for the smilie!
A quick find while at the "Farewell to Wangaratta" Event. OCW MaxAdventurer. ?? TFTC Harrowang
Johnno Mawbs was standing there as I turned up and he helped to make the find a bit easier. Tftc.
These ones are always a bit easier during and event when many eyes make short work. Fortunately we didn't have to go searching in the trees. TFTC
Arrived in town for the weekend of events planned, mostly the kayaking trip which timed nicely with the mega and a maze. Plenty of caching to choose from so we targeted a few, collecting a few others as they were just too convenient not to get while so close. Thanks for the cache!

Attended both Welcome and Farewell events in the park and kept hearing/being asked “have you got the trad nearby?” Well, just had to find it before heading out of town. Seems others were taking the same opportunity as soon after I started looking, I was joined by one, two… several other cachers… with many eyes making it a quick find, passing around the log before it was returned to its hidey hole.

The Wangaratta Mega event was a-MAZE-ing!!!
After nearly three years I have finally made it to my second Mega event. The first was ‘Clear Waters’ in 2019. This time not only being a Mega, it had the GPS Maze plus Signal (GCFR0G). The first one ever in the southern hemisphere. So of course I needed to attend! However… due to the weekend it fell one, I am only available on the Sunday but that is enough to claim it as attended.
Saturday Night: After work on Saturday night, Geo-dad (Now known as ‘TemoGeoDad’) and I drove to Albury for a pit-stop overnight. After we checked in to the motel, we headed over the road to a nearby cache. A quick find on this one but TGD cannot log it due to not having an account yet. Then it was time to head off to bed ready for our big day tomorrow.
Sunday: After a restful night sleep and Breakfast, it was time to head to Wangaratta to join in with the fun… finally. Given we arrived before 9am we headed off to find some of the Lab caches at the site to fill in time. From there we went to sign into the Mega, take a photo with signal and complete the maze. That is when the guy checking in people for the maze convinced Geo-Dad to sign up for geocaching and make the GPS Maze his very first find. Not many people can claim they have done that. He is now known as ‘TemoGeoDad’. The maze was very informative and a great way to introduce new Geocacher’s to the game plus many history lessons for everyone. I bought a couple of things for the Geo-Stuff store including a gift for Swimmagurl who couldn’t attend this weekend. Then it was time to finish the Labs, have lunch and head off to the final event just up the road. It took some time to solve all the rest of the labs but we ended up with all 40 labs finds. Afterwards, we moved onto the event and found the nearby cache and after saying goodbye to people, we headed home. We made two quick stops along the way home and two quick finds for TGD and me. What amazing day it was. TB visit. I would love to thank all CO’s of the caches I found, and the events I attended for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTE’s and TFTC’s
P.S. To save room on logsheets we signed some caches as: 16/1/22 JM & TGD

After a mornings caching it was great to take a break and enjoy the Farewell from Wangaratta event. we had just got back to the car to check where to next and saw this one only metres from where we had been. Back we went and followed the GPS to GZ. Funny as we were here for the event we did not notice all the other things in this great park until we read the cache page. The area near GZ was our favourite. At GZ we met another team just replacing the container so this one turned out to be a easy find for us today and the log now contains our name
Many thanks Harrowang for showing us this interesting area and the hide.

Out with Kellmik & Beaker while out chasing a night cache, we decided to stop at every cache we came along the way and this was one of those., unfortunately we could find this one despite an extended search.

First physical cache find for yours truly during the Wangaratta Event, and it's in the middle of the Farewell get-together. This is shaping up to be a strange experience indeed.
Logged in the company of landau351 and AlphaDeltaIndigo, and a bunch of other people.
Thanks, Harrowang. A cleverly placed, cheeky little hide in lovely surroundings.

While waiting for the Farewell to Wangaratta Event a few of us went in search of this cache. The tiny cache was finally found as part of a team effort. It brought us to a lovely part of the gardens which was well kept.
Find #2675 for me. Found at 11:19 am with my dog Bonnie after driving to Wangaratta from Bendigo once again for a second dose of mega fun! Unfortunately for me, my GPS signal put me at the plaque right in the centre of the circle, so it was hard to determine which direction I needed to take from there. After 10 minutes of trial and error and 3 circuits of the memorial site, I finally put my hand on it. Thanks for bringing me here to this beautiful location this morninng Harrowang, and thanks for the very sneaky cache!
Snuck this in while at the farewell event along with Monch's Mob. Good place to hide it! Thanks.
On a trip down to Wangaratta and we targeted lots of caches, as well as picking up anything nearby.
Thanks for the cache

Down in Victoria for the long awaited (and necessarily postponed) Wangaratta MEGA, and a little holiday chasing the usual (oldies, counties and windmills). Just for something different we are adding ALs to the hit list and the graves of the regionally buried dead premiers. Lol the things we will do for a cache! Managed to cache with some friends at the Mega along the way - always a lovely treat. Today we thought we would tackle as many cache types and humanly possible in a day! Thanks to all the cache owners for creating and maintaining the fun. Thanks for the cache.

I have joined forces with TeamAstro to attend the Wangaratta Mega. Today I am chasing 14 different cache types in a day. This was my second cache type for the day. I was told not to sign the log due to the large number of cachers present and trying to be COVID safe. I have a photo of the cache & log as verification. TFTC

We managed to find this one directly after the Welcome To Wangaratta Event, along with a number of others at the same time.
After organizing some time off to allow us to attend the Wangaratta Mega we are in town for an extended period.
We enjoyed attending the various activities organized during the Mega period as well as finding a very wide variety of different caches during our time here while catching up with caching friends we have met over the years.
The weather has been hot for us Gippslanders, and very humid as well.
Our thanks to the Mega committee for the enormous amount of effort that has gone into organizing the event and to the local cachers for their placements.
Congratulations to Geocaching Victoria and the local geocachers on a marvelous event.

Caching in Wangaratta on not so secret Mega activities. Trying to find many types in a day it was a day of unfocused traveling back and forth around the place seeking finds.
This was not too hard to find as it was found and already open and presented to me to sign, I made sure that I knew where it was found from so I could replace it properly, not that I'd have to wait long before it was found again - because of the even taking place very nearby.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Harrowang

26,713. Found with minniek along with a lot more attendees of The Wangaratta (Mega) Event. I was honoured with winning the Official First To Find for the Mega Event - something I will treasure forever.
minniek and I have really been looking forward to The Wangaratta Event. The Victorian Mega Events have been so well run over the years, and with the 2021 (2022) version of the series being held around Wangaratta we knew it was going to be a fun fun event. Day 2 of our trip dawned much too early, but we were soon up and caffeinated and at the nearby event. We took the opportunity to grab this trad like so many others did.
Thanks Harrowang !!

Well, the Mega time has come and we aren't locked down so today was the day to get 14 different types of cache. Yesterday was a strenuous day gathering all the challenge caches in the hills so today was going to be more relaxed and was a lot of fun.
This was found after a short search during the welcome event for Wang Mega.
Thanks Harrowang for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

This is the start of the big day for so many cachers. How many can we find in one day? I am travelling with two wonderful friends, Nibletricecakes and GLiss! We managed to grab this one at the first event of the day. TFTC Harrowang. Took photo as asked as the log is already almost full.
Muggle65 was very excited to go look for this one. It was the last cache required for his 7th loop. So glad he found it as it was was a happy dance moment for him. Thank you so much for the cache ??
With the Mega event being held in Wangaratta, The Rats, Hoojar, Wilbert67 and I headed south for the main event but also plenty of other local hides.

Cache I needed to complete my7th loop. I mentioned this in mixed company and some people sniggered.WTF??? I’ve been working hard with ??????and people laugh when i “needed” a lower D/T combo to complete an important statistic.
Some people have no respect for the hard working D/T combos at the lower end of the grid that help cachers look good in a one on one “p#*sing competition!??????
So thank you Harrowang for such a strategic placement at such a critical time????

Headed south with my caching mates, steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert to attend the on, off, on again COVID restricted Wangaratta Mega event...... credit to the organisers for persisting.
With us having limited time in the area, we tried to pack as much as we could into each day. From Glenrowan, to Beechworth, to Mrytleford, to Warby Ovens NP, to the streets of Wangaratta, we seemed to be on the go all the time. While the weather was too hot for caching at times we often found relief by cooling off in the river.
We found so many different types of caches, its a credit to all the CO's for providing the caches for everyone to find, whether they were new or old placements, we had a great time in Wang.
It was mega Saturday and this cache was part of my 12 types in a day. Sooo many people signing the log

Mega morning and an event a stone's throw away.
Arriving at GZ it was a mini party.
Someone was already signing the log.
It returns to this spot.
So by this stage there were more coming.
So I'm sure it was returned fine by someone.
