Checked a lot of stumps but no luck. Not sure if the felled trees and planting are a recent development that couldve bumped the cache out of its hidey hole?
A nicely tucked away cache- dry and happy in it's spot with a view.
Some "guardian" rocks watched over my entry to the general area... have uploaded a pic of one such guardian!
TFTC - a nice walk this afternoon

Jeebers...ANOTHER great ChCh day to get some in and keep the numbers ticking over .. Cheers
I remember finding the previous cache nearby here. Was surprised to see someone riding a ridiculously small and noisy motorbike here. TFTC.
It's a lovely afternoon to get some caches and discover this walking track while I'm at it.
Very easy find...
enjoying the trail today thanks
Stunning weather!
Wish I could stay longer, but back to Auckland tonight.

One of five located late today on a walk along this track. This one was a quick find. #3453. TFTC.
Until the viral lockdown is lifted, my geocaches are disabled. Any logs will be deleted. DO NOT Geocache currently.
Back in the big city for a few days and have a date with low tide later in the day so decided to park up and go for a wander ....

I'm in Christchurch with my wife who is undergoing surgery in Christchurch Hospital and what better way to take my mind on what's happening to her than to go geocaching. I was actually down here with her about a month ago for a similar operation and it was then doing the Thompsons Track crossed my mind. I passed on it then, but when I mentioned it to a fellow cacher back home, he said to get in fast as the CO is about to archive them due to the high maintenance burden. I wonder if he has considered adopting them out.
WooHoo I've recently finished it. It took me 6h 40m with an average of 5m 30s each cache if you include the three DNF's I looked for. Not a record breaking event but I'm happy considering I was flying solo. Found 70, DNF'd 10, but in retrospect the stats should have read 71/9. My best day so far (previous was 60) and I'm not finished yet. I intend to head back to the city in time for afternoon visiting at the hospital picking up as many PnGs as possible and then go out in the evening to get enough for a century.
I decided to head out to the east of the city and work my way back to the hospital in time to visit Mrs Kiwimykl, then carry on towards the west until it got too dark or I got my century, which ever came last. After DNFing the previous two caches along this walkway (I didn't have a serious look as I am time limited on this mission so won't log them as DNFs), I made it to here. The only hinted item visible was too far away from GZ to be taken seriously, but I had a look anyway. Once c:geo had settled down ,it soon became apparent where the cache was.

Another great cache. Found while taking the dog for a walk, first time on this path and only found while looking for caches. Great spot and good accurate coordinates and clue. TFTC.
Next recovery knee day walk, getting further along - tftc - enjoying the set along here
Out for a lovely day to find some caches. Ooolay we found you safely tucked away. Signed the log all nice and dry. Tucked you back in your cute bed. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache busy paws.
GPS went a bit haywire, maybe the pylons? But we found it eventually. Didn’t take the lowly as it wasn’t wrapped. TFTC
Nice to knock a DNF off from previous. Blue Smiley now yellow. Sorry had no pen today so have a photolog if required
A quick easy find as the co-ords were bang on with this one. Nice to tick another one off. Tftc
Nice cache, would’ve left a travel bug but just not enough space. 5th of the day TFTC
Out on a beautiful day with the family to collect a few more caches. This one was a quick find, tftc.
#3,235: Stumpy Smiley!
What do you do when the wee ones want to go ice skating, and you don't, and you have two hours to kill? Throw the bike on the back of the car, and come out to cache! Had a nice day out riding this track. All good!

Found on a dog walk.
With this crazy weather today, I was contemplating not going caching at all and leaving the streak at 217 but as a weather window appeared in the right time I was free to go out, I did it and took the dog as well for a quick run up the path.
No additional moisturizing needed, thanks!

Not quite sure how many times we have done this walkway for caches, but there seems to be always space for more. Today on a mission to change them all to smileys, this was an easy find thanks to the title - did not even need the GPS. TFTC
Another nice little hide, dodged the dog walking muggles then grabbed the cache TFTC
A nice quick find in the obvious place, and finally time to drop off the Paga geocoin that wants to be near rivers. Threw a couple of others in too, please keep them moving

A pleasant wander along the track and the cache was a quick find. TFTC. Took TB.
I have decided to fall in love with Christchurch. After waiting for the city to come up with ways I could embrace it, I realised it was time for me to take some steps instead. And what better way to do that than finding a few caches and exploring the area! To that effect, I left the house nice and early while the temperature was still well below zero, and set off to find some in town before continuing on a walk or two of some sort. This was a great choice for a walk, with a few caches along the way. I am glad I looked for them on the way there rather than back, as it got quite busy! Obviously good spot to be on a Sunday afternoon, people, bikes, dogs ad even horses! TFTC!!
Heading to Lyttelton for some retail therapy, stopped nearby to pick up the new caches on this nice walk. Cheers for the hide.
Found on a lovely Saturday afternoon drive around Christchurch.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

I was doing my walk for today and was in the neighbourhood scoring a FTF and had a wander. Nice quick find on this cold windy morning.
Thanks for the cache busy paws.

#14241. Troodles went straight to the right object, but (having lost her glasses) didn't search it properly. I had no problem uncovering the cache; nicely done. TFTC.
This was the third and last cache find of a short visit to the Heathcote area. It was pleasant in the sun but you knew it was winter in the shade.
Not only had I lost my glasses (found on walk back to car) but the batteries in my GPSr died 40m from GZ. Followed SW then veered off when I saw the probable hiding place - SW obviously had not read the cache name.
Didn't delve deeply enough so missed the cache on the first pass. Thanks for bringing me back here and TFTC.

The third stop on my cyclocache tour of Ferrymead and Opawa. Initially searched the wrong stumpy - that'll teach me to presume instead of looking where the gps was indicating. Nice smell. Thanks for the cache.
7574. Quick and easy find while out on a maintenance mission. Thanks. Rodney.
Took the Game Changers 4 Nature trackable for a ride.

Baby girl was finally feeling much better after her cold, and I was going crazy from not caching enough So off we went to go for a walk, get some vitamin D, and find some caches - maybe including some op shopping too.
This was the walk we did - and lovely perfect weather for it! Nice to finally be able to hang out with the sun!
It was pretty peaceful here today, and I managed to find all 5 caches.
Quickest one on the walk!
TFTC!!

Just could not locate this, length search of all the possible spots with no joy. Could have gone walkabout?
Found no problem tonight and it's still light. Can't believe that I missed GZ last time really. Good one. TFTH
Nicely placed. Log dry. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
On my bike headed home from work, met up with Chocochunk and Truffles. I put my GPSr in my backpack to find this today. Found no problem. Good new hiding spot.
I dropped Jaxyy1201 off at high school. Lucky for him I had no work. I decided to go for a geo
walk before heading back home and have been eyeing this walk up for a while.
I parked at the golf course side and walked to the geocache that was the furtherest away. It was a nice morning for a walk.

Brought visiting parents here today as this is one of my favourite walks in Christchurch. And there are a couple of new caches along here too as an added bonus. Found by Mr 4 while I was checking out the decoy. Nice hide, thank you for placing it and bringing me back here. As soon as we got home Dad was googling the history of this area, very interesting!
No luck finding old stumpy tonight as it was starting to get dark. Will try another time. Thanks
Another quick find on this Walking/Biking Walkway.Had to wait untill Muggles had wondered on..The wind was starting to get up and mist was swerling around and down the hillside.TFTH
Down from the north currently to see my elderly parents in Christchurch and we popped out for a walk this afternoon, and naturally to collect a few smileys along the way. A pleasant walk and enjoyed these caches, TFTC
TFTC. I have not been down here for a long time. Great to see all of the planting along the estuary.
Nice cache.
Thanks busy paws for placing the cache.

Quick find wandering along the path. It's hot but cloud cover so quite pleasant. Tftc.
Out with friends showing off geocaching for the kids. They are loving it. Tftc
Continuing along the pathway and enjoying the lovely weather and time with my family. I managed to find this one before Clurbee, can't let her find them all! Several hint items in vicinity but Gps eventually settled down and led me to the find.
Distracted by the really obvious then gps sent me the wrong way. Mr2 decided it was snack time and by the time I'd sorted him out bumbly2 had found the cache. Better let her find some I suppose Tftc
The day is getting hotter but this is a pleasant shady walk by the river. Only one place it could be. Tftc
