A quick find here on our way past cache is all goodCourtneyrose_ and I headed fora weekend away to Kangaroo Island, we came to check out the sights plus to compete in the Marathon. A great weekend away with a few caches found along the way. Thanks for the cache
Amanda is working for a while in KI and Ive come down to visit for a week. Doing our best to discover every cache on the island during our time. Were heading out for dinner I. American River and grabbing some caches as we go. Both feeling a little overdressed but it was worth the drive to see the dozens of wallabies that hang out here. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. SL TFTC
Day #5 Leaping Forward AdventuresIts the final day on Kangaroo Island so posums and I are slowly making our way back to the afternoon ferry before traveling in to Adelaide. Some nice looking properties here and what looked like a wedding or something soon to happen nearby. The area is hugely overgrown now but we managed to make the find. Thanks Uni and Medusa for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis and the Kingscote last night its now time to slowly head back towards Penneshaw to catch the ferry back to the mainland.Kangaroo Island has been on my bucket list for years and Roaming Howie had to squeeze back into the Geowagon put up with my driving and poor navigation for another day.Continuing along with our Geocaching expedition and visiting the Flinders Chase NP in the South West corner of the islandyesterday was one of the highlights of the Island. We will see what we can find on the slow trip back today and I didnt realise that the island so so big and I also didnt realise that Kangaroo Island was the first permanent settlement of South Australia even if it lasted only 4 years. We took the detour into here and there are some great looking properties in here. The cache was soon located and we added our names to the log and on to the next one. Thanks Uni and Medusa TFTC.
We are on a trip around Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Beside visiting beautiful places we also do our hobby geocaching. We found and signed this cache in good condition. #owner, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
What a quiet sleepy little spot! Quick find on our way to Stokes, we'll worth the detour - and finally caught up with the Tamar Wallaby

Found this cache a little over U and M's 6th wedding anniversary.
Congratulations. Would have been a great spot for a wedding.
I didn't have any candy or iron, so the kids left a plastic toy spinning rattle.

Found on our holiday to KI. This was our last full day on the island so it was focussed on the eastern end. Nice quick run around the bush to find this one. All is well with the cache. TFTC Uni and Medusa.
Our fourth and final day on Kangaroo Island was again wet and cold (10ºC is cold to me), and so we drove to some interesting places with interesting looking caches. This was one.
The cache is in good shape.

Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come baack into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
Parked and headed to the cache for a find

Enjoying a drive around island beach before we head home. My niece is loving help find caches! Tftc
We were very lucky to be able to spend time with family on the Island and introduced our grandson to caching. He had a great time seeing the wildlife, playing on a playground and finding 'treasure'.
Nana also spotted a large lizard close to where we parked the car.

We are on KI celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary so this cache was a must do. It certainly brought us to an area we would otherwise not have known about. Thanks to you both and we hope you too one day come here to celebrate your 50th!
We have just celebrated our anniversary so this was a most appropriate cache. Congratulations for leaving the memory of your wonderful day.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Today we arrived on Kangaroo Island. We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island.
This was our Third, only 83 to go! Driving from Browns Beach to Kingscote via Sapphire Town today, like a snail with our home on our back. Into Sapphire Town and Island Beach. We met muggle Ken from across the road, who then got a lesson in geocaching101!
After finding the cache - and showing him how and where, he told us now he understood why from time to time, cars would park there, disappear into the scrub, come out and drive on. We left, and did a circuitous route around the area, and Ken caught up with us before we hit the highway - "What is the name of that hobby, my wife is really interested"..... Thanks Uni and Medusa. Happy anniversary whenever it may be. Thanks for bringing us to this location.

This was day two of a two week trip to Adelaide, starting with Kangaroo Island. We headed to over to Seal Bay to see the seals and Vivonne Bay to see the vivonne. After making a big loop through Kingscote and returning home, I dropped off the muggle wife at the Pelican Lagoon Lodge and got a few more caches before dinner.
I noticed quite a few nice houses on the way in and a baby kangaroo on the way out (no, it was not a wallaby).
I parked as suggested. First, I took a direct approach, but then changed my mind and made a sweeping loop around to GZ. TFTC.

Hello from Canada, eh?! We are from Nanaimo, located on the east coast of Vancouver Island, on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada’s most western province.
We are spending a month visiting your beautiful country, with stops in Hobart, Bicheno (to see the Tassie devils and penguins), Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, Cairns, Port Douglas, Daintree Rain Forest, Great Barrier Reef, Brisbane (with a George Ezra concert), Byron Bay, and finally Sydney with a play (Blanc de Blanc) at the Opera House!
We nabbed Canada’s 1st geocache in Nova Scotia last August and we plan to nab Australia’s 1st cache in Sydney before we leave.
Today, our last day on Kangaroo Island, we drove to Emu Bay and went for a long walk on the beach. So many beautiful areas, so little time!
Thank you so much, Uni and Medusa, for adding some geo fun to our trip!

Raining as I looked for this cache. Wet bush and wet falling from the sky means a wet frog.
We are on vacation in Australia and of course we seek some caches.
Thanks for this one! Wish you many happy years together!
Greetings from the Netherlands.

Cache #1737.
I & J plus the little one went to Kangaroo Island for Easter holiday 2018. We spend 4 nights and 3.5 days there and really enjoyed visiting KI.
We tried about 20 caches, and found most of them. This was our first found in KI.
Before leaving Island Beach, we drove to GZ for caching. I searched, J searched, then I searched again, finally found the cache.
Signed the log, and hid it back. Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for the cache and the story, Uni and Medusa.
