Found cache thanks to taking photos however were not quite tall enough to reach it.
Took a little while but found and rehid. Prepare for green ants and work quickly

Visiting Bowen for a few days, today we explore the beaches and bays and this secluded beach was a beauty…..loved the fort too.
Green ants were on parade close to the cache but it was retrieved safely.

Ocw the Bebes. Found GZ no worries. Got attacked by green ants but managed to recover and sign and make a hasty retreat! Fort is awesome. Tftc
Walked down the hill. Easy find. As mentioned before. Log book full. Interesting 'fort'! TFTC
We parked down by the beach and rode our bikes up to the lookout then across the top and down to this cache. After a quick ride along the beach we spied a fort.
Then went in search of the cache which was easily located. TFTC

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 100. Bowen day 1. Today was a day of ups and downs. I went of a few nice walks, I found some well hidden caches and I chased my tail for a few DNFs that always leaves a sour taste. I am staying by the highway, but the resorts by the bay look fantastic, maybe one day I will feel justified staying at one.
After a short walk along the beach, I found the fort. Not what I was expecting, and a little sad to see the trees cut to make it. Oh well. The nearby cache was soon found, and signed, but the log is pretty much full.
Thanks for the cache TrackingTodds

Found it on my way home from a few weeks in MacKay. what an interesting location. This is part of why I love caching.
Definitely not what we were expecting but it sure is an amazing structure.

A lovely walk along the beach, which brought us to a most unusual construction close to GZ.
The lock is quite full, but we manage to find a small spot to add our name. Then we moved away from bushes quickly, as the green ants were out in force today.
Thanks TrackingTodds

Took a while to find as so many green ants. Be careful where you reach in. Is deep in the most obvious spot. Log full needs replacing.
Giving this a heart because I went the long way around to get it. If only I read the description it would have been so much easier. I was able to scratch something above Ski Pairs entry on a stain it is white but you should be able to make out a t in ink I generally sign these as PJT to save room. Tftc
Cache needs maintenance. Can't write on the paper and it's almost out of room. Beautiful spot. Thanks for sharing.
Quick find just off a deserted beach.
Today was moving day as we travelled from Airlie Beach to Bowen where we will be having a short stop. After setting up camp and a quick cuppa we set off to look around and see what caches we could find. We had forgotten what a truly beautiful place Bowen is. Incredibly spread out, but beautiful bays, lookouts and beaches spread out as well.
We experienced some tough searches and straightforward finds, with a couple of DNFs for the day.
Thank you to the local COs for establishing and maintaining the caches for us to find as we explored the area.

We've moved our caravan from Mackay to Bowen, and are looking forward to finding all the caches in the local area. Today we thought it would be nice to try and log all the caches in town.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache pretty close to where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Tftc tracking Todd's, was very impressed with the fort. Looks like it has withstood quite a bit of Bowen blowing. Thanks for bringing us here and showing us this place.
Found with orth71 on a trip from Townsville to Bowen.
Nice walk on the beach ans someone has gone to a lot of trouble to build this fantastic structure.
TFTC and a favourite for the area.

Our last day in Bowen and luckily only a few caches to go, but still some hill climbs to negotiate. We even had time to take in the Bowen markets on the way.

Bowen Day 3
An early morning start to avoid the heat, although we had a lovely cool ocean breeze today.
Caching today with the Snakepitters.
Our 1st stop was the markets along the foreshore. We then continued caching around the coastline which ment some spectacular ocean views & beachside walks.
Was this Robinson Caruso's home, waiting for a ship to pass this location
Thanks for placing this amazing series TrackingTodds

What a beautiful day! Interesting structure too. Was so lovely to get out and go for a walk! Took heart and a star and left replacement heart and star in its place. TFTC Found BFE style
Perhaps locals made for kids or teens. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Tracking Todds. All good with this cache.
Surprise surprise!
Went early in the morning... Avoiding crowds.
Staying in Bowen for sightseeing and caching.

What an interesting structure! I could imagine building something like that on a deserted island with coconut fronds for the roof. haha. GPS was right on target and the description led me to the right spot almost immediately. While snuggle muggle had a look around and took photos, I retrieved the cache, signed the log and returned it to its hidey hole. TNLN TFTC
While staying in Bowen for 3 nights we thoroughly enjoyed checking out the caches in this lovely town.
This location was not what we were expecting to find but great to see nonetheless
Many thanks for the hide TrackingTodds

We are staying in Bowen for a couple of nights and went for a wander on the beach, in the direction of a cache of course. Good hide.
Found today with foxico27 who took a bit of a fall trying to climb the hill that she'd walked past the cache to climb. Good hide tftc
Another beautiful Bowen location. We are loving the hides in here. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
Fort in Bowen after a teepee in Mackay, isn’t it amazing what folk do. Where I live they make rock caurns in the Mary River and finely balanced some are!

Cache replaced with new log book. Please make sure the cache is not visible when you return it to its position.
Staying in Airlie and decided for a day trip up to Bowen. Went up to Flagstaff Hill and saw this cache and decided to check it out. Quick drive down to the beach and unfortunately a DNF because our phone GPS was stuffed. Unfortunately we won’t be back here for another try but thanks for bringing us to this interesting place!
TFTC. Out in Bowen on a windy drizzly weather, so thought I would stop for a quick find

Checked it today. No fire anywhere near it and cache in exactly the right spot waiting to be found.
What an amazing construction. As to who originally built the Fort, this may be unknown but we feel that over time there have been many additions to it. A favourite for bringing us to the Fort. SL TFTC
My husband and I stayed in Bowen last night, on our way home to Melbourne, after a holiday in Cairns. This was one of the caches that I found before we left Bowen this morning. We also collected some interesting shells off the beach.
Thank you TrackingTodds for keeping this cache active.

Aussie Day Trek in Bowen. Loved the fort and especially enjoyed the cache hide. Very Clever! TFTC. Thanks for bringing us here.
Easy find on a lunch break during trip home from holidays.
Glad I wore shoes as others found it a little sharp under foot

Had to confess our intent to some backpackers in occupation of the wooden structure

The walk up to GZ was a bit unstable in spots but we got there in end with out falling down. Thankfully hubby as a bit of height and we were able to retrieve the cache so we could sign the log. Interesting location. Thanks for the cache.
That was quite a good find and also a great location and view. Thank you very much for the find, from the walking mystery, Lumi Ari. PS. Take caution on the rocks, especially all the loose little ones, and don't slip on the way down
