Bit narrow for my motorhome so parked nearby and wandered over for a quick find, TFTC
Today Mrs Biggles and I are driving from Kaikoura to Dunsandel, taking the Inland Route. We had time to stop for a few caches along the way. I almost pursuaded Mrs Biggles to drive over the bridge but not quite. Cache found safe and sound. TFTC, Biggles.
On a weekend ride.. Cache was easy to find, hint helped. Paper is a bit wet. TFTC
Found on this beautiful, cool day searched around, and it wasn't long before we spotted the cache. Thank you for the cache
A quick find as we make our way back to Christchurch after a great time in Hanmer.

Second cache of the day driving around the Amuri Basin. Nice straightforward cache to get warmed up on a clear winters morning; TFTC
We parked the other side and wandered back to the cache.
Thanks for putting it here for us to find

Note for future. The cache is on the side, not the back.
Scrambled under the bridge too, because why not!

Tasked with dropping some equipment off to a couple of our techs, I couldn't help but grab a few caches on the way back.
Quickly located here.

Well we are not going over That bridge! Cache a bit damp but writeable. Thanks for bringing us here bumandworker
Log was a little wet. Still okay. Plenty of space to pull over. Nice stop before Hamner Springs. Thanks!
This one was quickly found when I spo5ted something out of place. Thanks for placing.
Why don't we follow the GPS correctly haha, listening to it would make things much easier. Thanks for the hide
#10186. Day 6 of the South Island road trip around the top of the South Island (Canterbury and Westland) with Infoferret. This trip was planned to replace the Labour weekend Auckland Mega adventure. We have stayed overnight in Murchison and today are heading to Christchurch. The weather has improved in the morning and by time we reached Canterbury it was like a hot summers day.
Well we are now on the road into Waiau and North Canterbury is treating us to bright sunshine and very warm spring weather. We ended up parking way past this one so we had to walk back over the high road to GZ. I decided to check out one side and IF checked the other. Once more she was right and I was wrong. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks bumandworker for hiding it here.

Day 1 of a road trip round the South Island, and today it was Nelson to Gore Bay, where our family have hired a bach for the long weekend. So we couldn’t get everything on our trip, so I cherry-picked a list of favourable caches - letterboxes, higher fave points, but more often just those on our side of the road for the direction we are travelling. Plus, a special effort in getting most caches in and around Waiau and on the road to SH1. 17 in all found, and into Gore bay by 3pm to enjoy the rest of the day. TFTC all COs, sorry for the cut and paste, if there is anything specific about this cache it is mentioned below.
Quick find here and the ford is a safe pullover zone. Log a little damp but all good, TFTC B&W.

Having grabbed the Hanmer PWGT caches and heading for Cheviot, this drive by was a nice brief pause along the way. Spotted GZ as exited the van, so a super quick park and grab. TFTC

Heading to Kaikora on the inland route just so we can pickup some caches on the way. TFTC
Found in between cars going by. Replaced log sheet with new one in new bag. Old one still there too. Beware a magpie living above.
Thanks for this park and grab b&w. The logbook is damp but it still could be signed.
Another good find with woolwood9 todaySL *tm/ww NZ* Long drive around! Thanks for the reason to visit this area.
TFTC - bit wet but that's fine for us hardy geocachers - found with Juju54
Another yuck find but sadly the weather is deteriorating & so the decision was made to head to back to Culverden for a coffee! Soaking wet but lots of fun! TFTC
Easy find here, after a couple of not earlier in the morning, and always spot on coordinates for the CO. Number one on the trip home of the anticlockwise Renwick-Hanmer-Renwick loop.
Nice quick find. Roadworks men traffic has to wait for lights, so plenty of time between the cars coming past. TFTC!!
Make my wall back down to oamaru, from Blemhiem, taking the long way of coruse grabbing the odd cache here an there. Many thanks to all the cache placers. -Bitsprayer
We didn't ford the ford but used the other option. Both would have worked. Cache found, log signed and Hanmer is now getting close.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I'm glad there was a warning sign because otherwise I mightn't have noticed this feature - - - in other words, no water here today.
I decided to stop for a couple of days in Rotherham, a very nice little village.
This was on the way to check on a couple of my caches.
Cheers for the cache.

Day 1 of our Easter raid East and were finally out collecting some points for the Planetary Pursuit.
What a cool ford. The cache was quickly spotted without having to go to the rear and after we put it away Mum decided to use the ford even though the road was super dry. We have now passed Saturn and making our way towards Uranus so double Thanks for the cache

Day 2 = The time has passed so quickly, the 48 hour break is over and it's time to head back to Marlborough. After all that rain last night I thought we'd need a boat to get back but no harm done and we had a pleasant day in the town doing forest walk, chips and gravy lunch, mini-golf and maze with the girls and hit the road around 3 in the arvo. Managed a modest 5 caches on the way back and a few more for the total.
This was cache number 7777, a significant milestone, or not
All good here and replaced a s found as the family waited in the car on the bridge
T F T C b&w
Day 1 = The forecast initially had been indicating rain all day, each day of the visit so alternative (indoors) things were planned. The reality though was somewhat different. The weather, upon waking., was an awesome cool and slightly misty start with a chill in the air and no breeze. The morning was sunny and awesome, the afternoon brought a few spots of rain and the later afternoon welcomed the rain in, and it never left! At the time of logging it has been raining really heavily for a few hours now! Yuck.

Brrrr it was a bit chilly here early this morning. I wouldn't have even noticed this as a ford without the signs but I guess there's a torrent of water flowing at various times otherwise this feature wouldn't be here. TFTC # 11,881
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are on a 4 day exploration around Kaikoura. Our journey today takes us to Waikari and back. We are up early and move Zara to a sand pit to play with a dump truck and digger, while we run away with Toby.
Hey there is a bridge and a ford here. Which one. I stop in front of the bridge. It turns out to be on the other side of the bridge so we walk over it to snag and tag this one. Cheers. No water in the creek today. Ok which way now. What the hell lets take the bridge - so we did. Off again into the unknown.

Take the bridge? Or the ford? Bridge? Ford? Neither! We pulled over in front of the bridge and walked over. I said the bridge looked quite safe, and the dragon surprised me by choosing to drive over it. I think she is getting more adventurous now she has a 4x4! No water in the stream today.
It's a four-day weekend!! Taybeedragon and I headed down to Kaikoura, that destination chosen mainly because I have some unfinished business down that way. And on top of that, like everyone else, we wanted to do some rubber-necking, to check out the changes in the route south. Apparently at least two more years work before the road is declared finished. Yesterday was urban caching. Today: Rural.

I remembered having passed this feature earlier in the day and I was puzzled when I later read of the good parking in recent logs. All became clear when I travelled in the opposite direction.
A mate of mine has lived in Waiau fro 30 years and only ever seen the ford needing to be used once. Took the TB. Cheers
found on the way from kaikoura to christchurch. short stop to break the drive. TFTC!
Heading home this way from Kaikoura.Drove up over the Bridge, for a quick find.TFTH
Was camping at Balmoral Reserve with members of the Motor Caravan Assn and as we had finished our Springtime cleanup duties for the day I decided that I had time for seeking out some nearby(?) geoacaches. After finding 2 caches in Culverdon plus 2 more in Rotherham it was time to move further north to Waiau. Nice quick P&G as I made my way toward Waiau. TFTC B&W.
Great parking! and a nice quick find. Cheers
Heading home after an early start. A wee detour from SH1 to Waiau and a few fins out this way.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

#14386. Ah, the old high-road, low-road story. Appreciated the good parking. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ en route to Hanmer Springs (via Waiau) for the weekend.
There was a ute travelling close behind, but luckily spotted where to park as we approached GZ so was able to turn off safely. We hoped the bridge had been safety checked, as we drove over it. TFTC.

There was plenty of convenient off highway parking here for us to make good use of.

No need to use the bridge but given I was nearby decided to use it anyway. After making the find of the cache.

Was sure the floods would have done their dirty work here, but no there it was all warm and dry, exactly as indicated. Thanks.
This was the first time we had to wait for some traffic to clear- but Monson.clan soon spotted it- and off we went again. tftc
A quick and easy find in the first place checked while passing today. Signed log, TFTC
A quick easy find. The cattle opposite appeared to have no interest in us today. TFTC
