Another old ruin that we wish we knew its history, if only walls could talk Thanks for the hide Tftc
Well August has come around once again, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find several but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the beautiful Late Winter days in the high teens. Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC
TFTC ! Found whilst touring the Yorke Peninsula, during our lap round OZ. The Yorke Pen has surprised us with some beautiful views, and the water tank art trail
I'm in SA for the leap day Mega, some caching and a restful 5 day holiday. Let's see how that rest goes in the middle of so much new caching grounds!!! Today is day 3 and my bottom of Yorke Peninsula day. Lovely weather in the low 20's, cool and sunny makes for perfect exploring weather. So many old caches, and caches with great appeal to guide me around to see the area.A nice sized container located too conveniently to not stop at!
Today we targeted the boat geoart plus any other caches we came across. This is the one piece that was around when we last visited but we ran out of time to grab it.All caches were found today, in some cases two were found in the same location. Apologies to the CO's for the cut and paste logs. If there were any notations, we will mention them. tftcOne trackable uplifted and one trackable left behind.#7506

Another nice day of sightseeing, enjoying the sunshine, beaches, views...
And... we found your caches. Signed the logs. Made more smileys on our map .
Another nice old reno project maybe! Left a trackable.
All our thanks to LíB for planning and maintaining this cache on our ever growing SA cache map!
All on our birthday caching trip, Purrfect Di, Mattycat and Jack too coming along for the ride...

Travelling all over wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck
Heaps of the luck stuff really !!!
*Most of the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course*.**

Beware ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
We do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

The end. For now...
The Epic Road Trip with OzHockeyChick has now taken us to the Yorke Peninsula. We have adjusted our pace to make these more enjoyable and so today we are targeting the boat, or at least some of it. Hopefully we will get to explore Point Turton for lunch.
A quick diversion from the boat for a second to grab this cache on the way through.

Wet and blustery. So glad of the sizes of some of these caches. Too yucky to hunt for too long. Tftc
After an early start to the day in Edithburgh, we headed out on a coolish day with iluvtrekking to grab some finds in Innes NP and others a bit further afield. Thanks 3LG
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We set off early on a cold and cloudy morning with the threat of rain, which fortunately didn't eventuate. We enjoy the small towns, beaches, cliffs, history and ruins we encounter along the way. Thanks for your cache 3LG.

A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat.
But with restrictions easing and socially responsible caching again possible it is time to start filling the calendars again.
Having a holiday on YP and catching up with relatives we looked out on a very threatening sky and some drizzle.
Sal decided she was going to stay in, stay warm and give caching a miss. [8)] Being a tragic I headed out anyway looking to make my way around the coast from Point Turton finding any I hadn't previously.
I wanted to avoid too many geoart because I just knew I would be back doing them later.
Not much left here to admire. I like the walls along the drive to the ruins. [^] Cache was a nice quick find.

Found after completing the nearby " boat geo art " heading on to the next piece of art work. I figured if i had to find a large cache type today i may as well target and find a medium size too. quick find.
All logs today were stamped as " Mystery Randoms ". The team was sir_spectre, mogni, allister w, Aussie M & M, JJ52 and Gizmo Gang. We did the whole geo art in the one day finishing the last 11 under torch light.
This was mogni's last calendar day to fill with 10 in every day. Since it was the 29 th of feb she wanted at least 100 cache finds for the day. We worked out that the geo art was a good choice. She wanted to do 100 caches and maybe some more. I thought all 588 caches was a better idea ( all the geo art ). I recruited some people. I talked to the fishy tales group and got permission to pick up all the caches and replace them. They gave me 300 new caches and enough new logs for the whole trail. Also strict instructions to pick up all the mint tins on the trail so freddo could recycle them. We found 61 of which 49 could be recycled. We ended up using all the given containers plus more and CITOed 4 milk crates worth of old/broken/brittle containers. Over 600 cache finds for the day. With 3 weeks to the 29th mogni decided to expand what she wanted. She wanted as many cache types on that day as well. We got a multi, puzzle, trad, earthcache, event, wherigo, virtual. We started in the dark and also did the last 11 caches of the geo art in the dark, it was a big day.

A big leap day with the Mystery Randoms. Sir Spectre, mogni, JJ52, AussieM&M, GizmozGang and I had a big day from a event in Adelaide to finding all the geoart at the bottom of Yorke Peninsula. We were tired by the end of the day. This one was found along the way. TFTC
Mrs Gizmo was invited to join mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, Aussie M & M and JJ52 for a big day starting with an early morning event, then some different cache types in the city before hitting the road to the Yorke Peninsula to complete the geo art.
We started at the boat and continued on to the other geo art on a logical route. We stopped at any other caches that were along our route. This being one of them. All logs were stamped with a team stamp of "Mystery Randoms"
We had a great weekend full of fun and friendships. My biggest caching trip yet.

A big day was planned for "Leap Day" with mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, Aussie M & M and Gizmo's Gang heading down to the bottom of Yorke Peninsula to complete the geo art and find as many different cache types as we could as this opportunity only comes around once every four years.
We had a fun day/weekend and achieved all our goals, starting with a very early event, then some different cache types before we left the city for the drive down to Warooka where we started in earnest.
So we started at the boat and made our way around all the geo art in a logical manner doing a lot of cache maintenance as needed. Now all caches and logs are in good condition and we recovered a lot of mint tins to be repurposed.
We had finished the "Boat" and were on our way to start the big fish so we stopped to get this one as we were driving right past it.
Thanks for the cache LíB.

A huge day out with Aussie M & M, gizmos gang, JJ52, sir_spectre and AllisterW. We had a mission to complete all of the geo art on the base of Yorke Penninsula and complete it we did. In the process all caches that needed some love were fixed and all mint tins spotted removed.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children.
After veging out (non caching) at Daly Heads for three nights, it was time to move on and find some caches, if we are reach #5000 at Millicent.
Camped in Warooka, and doing a few caches nearby. Lovely drive through the farms and past the ocean.
Easy find thanks for the poem. Thanks Lib

Good size container with good swag, nice to see on our journey around the wet and windy yorke. Tftc
Today was a day to tidy up some unfinished business from our visit a couple of years ago. We aimed to finish off some incomplete geo art with the Boat feature and the Starfish art both needing attention.
We also wanted to add some more T.O.Y. series caches to our score, as we really enjoy finding so many large size caches.
There were also a few other traditional caches to add to the list. Ilook4geo also helped in the quest.
It was great with the day starting out a lot cooler than yesterday's heatwave conditions and the number of successful finds made the day well worthwhile.
Thanks go to 3LG for this cache placement.

It was time for goingplaces2 to do some catch up caching, so we went together to complete some geo art shapes from when they were here before. Also did some other caches around the area as well. Thanks to each CO for all our finds.
We missed this one and needed to return to find the cache container, most of these style of caches usually stand out. SL TFTC
Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). Thanks for the cache!
On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. This is the day we are planning a start on the Geoart and some of the traditional caches. The ship is the first one we will attack. This is a generic log so we added any information relevant to this cache at the end. Thanks to Fishy Tales and all the other cache owners. Mad traffic on this road. Kutgw
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Admittedly we came for the power trails to make up some of our statistics, but we also wanted to check out some of the traditionals as well. This was obviously one of those we wanted to pick up.
Nice big cache and the ruins are ok. Little far away, but due the the weather we didn’t stay long. I would have liked to have had a good look at the stone wall running from the road towards the house. Took TB. Tftc 3LG!!!

Today is our second day staying at Point Turton and exploring this lovely part of the world. We have never visited the Yorke Peninsular before, and we really wonder why not. It’s so beautiful, with a mix of beach, crop farming, paddock grazing animals and natural countryside.
Yesterday we started on the geo art trails, and today we are continuing that, but mixing it up with random caches spread across the countryside. The geo art gives us the numbers, but the random caches take us to some lovely out of the way spots. A great combination of the reasons we love caching.
Thanks to all the CO’s in the area for all the caches they have developed, put out and maintain for us to find. A mammoth job, well done. We appreciate your efforts.

Travelling down from Queensland with my fellow cachers Snickersallan, Waz and Vik, Ardom, Gcoven and JooJoo57. We have planned a week long adventure to collect all the geoart, the fishing line and anything else we can get. Thanks for the cache!
Day 1: Today we completed the Boat and Fishy Tales and some of the fishing line and traditional. We took some time and found a few previous finders DNF’s, also located two GZ that had two caches so we took the spare and replaced a couple where we also had DNF’s with previous finders DNF’s too. We are well and truly stuffed and will sleep so well tonight. Planned out assault for tomorrow where hopefully we will finish the art

This afternoon we started some of the Boat Geoart series with Roostaman. Some were quick finds others required some searching. We replaced and repaired caches along the way. We enjoyed the back roads and a good time was had.

I was on York's for a few days of rest, relaxation, catching up with friends and caching.
After yesterday' encounter with a brown snake I was on alert today and a bit nervous.
Now it was time to finish the boat. I had done most of it last year but didn't quite finish and then there were a couple I couldn't find that needed to be revisited.
There were also a few others around I wanted to target. In the end I only got a few done today but there's always tomorrow! Found a nice cache here.

Day 2 of our mammoth week begun with a very early start to try and grab some caches before the Anzac Dawn Service in Warooka . We were in full geocaching beast mode today and signing cache logs like they were in short supply [^].
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area . We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome
A massive thanks here to 3LG for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!
jinta29 found your cache As Time Goes By #24 today. This is my find #6709 and find #81 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again 3LG for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!
I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here . I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Visiting SA for a week before going to Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs. Out with joojoo57 and Snickersallan doing caches on Yorke Peninsula then back towards Adelaide. Thanks to all COs for your cache hides.
Before attending the Red Centre Experience event in Alice Springs we're spending 5 days in SA mainly around the Yorke Peninsular. Appreciated the variety of containers and places they were hidden - it certainly brought us to places we certainly wouldn't have stopped at. many thanks to all the COs for your time and effort in the placement of your caches.
