I stopped here on my way out of Cromwell and thought I have been here before. Obviously I couldn't locate it then but this time I read the hint correctly and made a quick find. Thanks to RowenaD for placing a cache here. Heading back to Invercargill with a little time to spare to grab some of the green dots for smiles and points for the cosmic quest.
Quick stop as we make our way to have a look at Highlands Motor park. TFTC and the smiley .
Queenstown to Wanaka today via Cromwell. We grabbed a few caches on the way.We parked up close by and walked over to GZ. Quick find in a familiar locationTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
I thought this was going to be super quick and easy. It turns out there was much more traffic than I anticipated. I must have looked a bit dodgy trying to look inconspicuous in between p paying vehicles. TFTC
Had a bit of a whirlwind tour of Cromwell today doing jobs and grabbing caches. This area wasn't around when I first visited either. Managed to dodge the muggles who were all out doing things in their garages. Enjoyed the hiding spot! Tftc.
Day 10: South Island (Cromwell) and North Island (Mangere)Today was a day in two parts, beginning in the South where we left Cromwell for Queenstown Airport, but not before picking up a few caches on the way before the flight. After landing in a very windy Auckland, the second part of todays journey took me up Mangere Mountain for a little hike and back down to Mangere Bridge to cap the day off. An interesting day indeed, and once again, thanks to the COs on both islands for the multitude of caches of all stripes.(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:I am pretty glad I figured out the location of this cache from a previous log, so there wasnt too much head-scatching on site, but I managed to pick the wrong side to search initially before consulting the phone and correcting course to the other side. All good here, TFTC!
We have arrived in Cromwell for a couple of nights, so I decided to find the nearest cache to where we are staying It was not the quick find that I was hoping for, the phone seemed to bounce all over the place. Then I re-read the cache page and hint, and was soon holding the cache.A fun find, the fields slowly being gobbled up with housing and industry
Picked up five caches this afternoon on a walk with the geohound around this part of Cromwell. I liked the greenway setup with walkways in a number of directions. Great foresight in designing the layout of the town in such a pedestrian/cyclist-friendly manner!
This one was a quick find thanks to the hint! #6171. TFTC.

I've hot a loan car for the morning, so I'm zooming around ticking off a few stray geocache.
Day 3 on our holiday in New Zealand. On the way from Twizel to Te Anau, we also visited this traditional cache, found it, and signed the logbook.
***T4T$ - Many Thanks to RowenaD for hiding and maintaining the cache.*** ️

The town has certainly grown over the last couple of decades. Looks like it’s going to grow a bit more too
A cache & dash as we headed into Cromwell. We guessed where this one could be hiding, but it still had us searching for a while.
I'm staying in Clyde for a couple of days. Headed into Cromwell early this morning. to have a look around and find a cache or two. A nice quick find here. TFTC
Summerfields? For three months of the year... definitely freezerfields today. But we saw one worker planing wood outside wearing short sleeves, so maybe the locals get acclimatised? #1 of a before-tea caching loop walk, after arriving at our Matariki holiday home.
Heading home to omakau after a Lsar training exercise near tekapo...decided it would be a great opportunity to spend a few hours in Cromwell knocking of a few caches..
Bit of stealth required but got it quickly tftc

A quick park and grab on our way home. Added an extra sheet for the log. TFTC
Just down the road from MrF work. Beautiful entranceway.... took good notice of hint and soon MrF had it in his hand. Signed and replaced.
Out and about enjoying the history of our country and discovering hidden gems.

Now all housing with alot more coming it seems . we found this with Rob and a friend on a geo dat trip to Cromwell where we found most of the caches here but some how left a couple out and had two DNF. .
Another winter trip down to ski fields around Queenstown , Wanaka etc . and of course locating some of the newer caches or caches that had not been found on previous visits and so when the weather is not conducive to going up the mountains sight seeing was the next choice of action along with locating some of these caches . I am pleased to be able to change 3 blue faces to smiley ones this tour down here but it was disappointing that several of the Frankton to Queenstown cycle trail caches have been disabled but with help of a friend i was able to locate the final .

On holiday staying in Wanaka and decided to check out a town we haven't visited on previous trips and today it was Cromwell. Had a good time exploring the town including the museum which is near the cafes in the town centre area and then some caching - a perfect day really!
At around 3pm I was eyeing up the series as we had finished exploring the town. 'How long can I cache for then?' 'Until you get a DNF was the response' Well if that was not motivation to find them all I don't know what was! Woohoo local caches and series here we come!!
We live in a similar situation where it used to be all fields and is now housing and there is more and more coming.
Quick find - thanks for the cache and now onto that series - lets do this!

Taking a week’s holiday in Wanaka with Mr K. Have a list of some easy caches in the area hoping to increase my daily find rate to 1 per day. Today was the last day of our six day break.
A very cold day in Central Otago. We needed to fill the car’s tank so while Mr K did that I walked along to grab this. Took longer than it should’ve. Tftc

We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective to much. We scored 3x nights at Rotary Glen with max occupancy of 10 vans. The plan was just staying 2 nights but it's just to nice here. We never explored Cromwell, just raced through so we're going to make the most of it. The wind is already picking up and growing into a decent storm as the day progresses. GZ is well guarded. Two canines kicked up a racket but nobody reacted one way or the other. While admiring it all we completed the formalities without anybody paying th slightest attention. Thank you RowenaD
We are out and about in the area finding some caches and enjoying exploring and revisiting other areas again.
There is certainly plenty of building going on around the area, similar to others I suppose with their impressive name signs. Cache was soon found and signed, using the shrubbery as cover.
Thank you RowenaD.

Took a minute to find it as it wasn’t quite agreeing with the hint but got it soon enough. Tftc
After a pretty big Day 2 of our South Island Honeymoon (and Day 3 of our marriage) enjoying a tour of the Cardrona Distillery, checking out the view from above with a Heliview Hellicopter Ride (an awesome wedding present from some of my new in-laws) and successfully hunting down some cherries at a local orchard - we thought we had better grab some caches in the area while we were here... it would have been rude not to right?!This guy was a nice quick find on our pre-dinner finding mission, I spent more time waiting for the muggle to walk past than I did hunting for the goods. Thanks for the hide Found with Loz47

Cache 400 Decided to go for an early morning walk while it still nice and cool, so down to this location I wander. First thought it was between the two fences till I went around the front then the hint made total sense, making it a nice easy find, cache itself is in good condition but the log has seen better days it’s now falling apart T4TC
On a 3 week road trip. Half way around my phone was damaged and I've lost all the data I had saved on it as to what caches I dropped in TB's. If I left one here please either let me know which one or grab it from me. Found pretty quickly thanks RowenaD

Few meters away from coordinates. Close to the cheapest gas station, thank you! .
Found while visiting Cromwell today. Hint confused me for bit until I got to GZ. TFTC.
Quickly found cache was an awkward park and grab on the corner but we pulled it off. Thanks for the cache
Not too tricky in the end, once I got over the embarrassment factor of it seeming so near someone’s property! TFTC
We read the previous logs showing that some finders found this difficult and thought it might be in private property, but knowing that there had been owner maintenance recently and always well we simply searched for something that you could attach a magnet to. It wasn’t too tricky to find and once we had it the cache was easily seen. Lovely in the evening sun here.
A quick easy find where we expected it to be, although 8 metres west of the coordinates, which as the previous logs say, are in private property. Our coordinates were S45 02.898 E169 10.758. TFTC
I think someone stole this geo cach in the house property because it said 3 metres and then it was not there
*Winter time dots are thin on the ground for August soon to be rectified with a push over the border ploughing new fields of Central Otago of it's green dots turning dozens of dates from one singular shade of green to a multiple darker green on the 'finds' table*. A new challenge erupted to log a seven day streak straight after the MATM so double wow wee dot and 5th day streak cache. Cromwell sure is growing. I hardly remember coming through town. Usually sticking to the main roads stopping at Jackson's for fruit while coming home from Mt Cook or over the Crown Range towards Wanaka and Haast. The GZ was quick to track down after skirting the latest bare earth development, park up and walk across the new cobblestone crossing to the hide. Core ten steel held the micro avoiding the sharp angles by following the hint. Someone mentioned a full log and that was added to the old PQ but log slip was ok, only full on one side so I turned it over. For a magnetic cache it wasn't such a nightmare at night compared to the mechanical hides tackled in broad daylight. Thanks for the cache RowenaD. **Seven day streak #5**
I was off to visit some old work colleagues and sign off a couple on the way.
The was the first of them.
Cheers for the cache.

#1246 - Early morning caching trying to beat the heat of the day. Definitely a lot of housing around now, Cromwell has really take off.

Having arrived today into Queenstown to meet up with some muggle friends who are touring around the South Island, we ended up spending a night in the motor camp here in Cromwell.
Late in the evening I volunteered to go and fill the car up with petrol and grab some essential supplies, just as an excuse to go and do a little bit of caching. I ended up getting the petrol, 2 family blocks of chocolate, and 2 caches of which this was the first.
It actually turned out to be a quick find in the first obvious place for a hide. The container and its contents were all in good nick, so the log was signed before it was all replaced exactly as found.
Thank you for placing this cache here, and helping to get my Queenstown/Milford Sound holiday off to a great start.
