When I came this morning the GZ was obvious but there were campers on both sides. After getting a clue from the CO so I could approach more quickly, I came back later in the day. No campers in sight so I spent quite a time search in & under to no avail.
What a let down! Ones solves the multi and the cache is no where to be found. Have contacted the CO but no reply (24hrs) Geocachers are mobile people and we must move on and leave disappointment and sad faces behind.
Thanks for your amazing cache watcache . I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. 3 of us were having trouble finding the goods, but the CO visited us to help us find the cache. Twas nowhere to be found so it was replaced. This was my first multi and has earned a favorite from me. Cheers, Cympull.
Just a few hours later, I have to eat my words on the DNF. Not only did Watcache/CO, reply but he also paid us a visit. The cache was infact missing and has been duly signed. My faith has returned.
Dad and the kids are out and about hiding a new cache. Afterwards we were told of a good hide here. We found the cache ok, but it appears to have changed to a more simple container. Co-ordinates are good. Wet log. Dried out paper in the warm sun and placed back. Thanks Watcache.
Was passing through today and decided to check on this guy as there has been a couple of DNFs of late, and too my surprise it is still in its hiding place waiting to be found.
No find for us either at final area. Obvious tree work here but looked around as thought it may be a bit buried.
Our third DNF for this cache. We note the large stump at the coordinates, where we're sure there was a tree last time we looked. Each time we've had a friendly conversation with the people camped immediately adjacent to the coordinates.
The numbers didnt take long to find but with lots of water around and a muggle in a car we thought we'd have a problem, the muggle didnt stay long and we soon had the cache. Thanks watcache

The adventure labs primarily brought us to this park this afternoon but there are a good number of other caches to be found too - including this one. No trouble with the numbers but then things got a bit harder. The place was surrounded by water on one side and a guy sitting in the car on the other. Had a bit of a cursory look and then when he drove off we got stuck in. Paddle Chick came up trumps. This turns out to be the last watcache find of our trip. Thankyou really isn't enough gratitude for the significant number of your hides that we have found over this last few days - you have gone from zero to hero in my hider stats. TFTC # 20.321
Another blue face into a yellow one today! barefootguru and I were in the park today for some intel on a certain tree and I asked him to help me try find this cache as he had only a few months ago so it should be still fresh on the mind. Found the object I had to look at but bfg scratched his head and said ‘I’m sure this thing was further over there’ so after he did some more weed eating (2nd time today) and a impression in the ground was found he soon unearthed the cache!…from under a lot of leaf litter! Yay! Hero moment…..️
Thanks for the multi and we have reset the cache how it should be.

Last find of the day, came from nano up a tree with no success so needed one more find. Container was crushed and log was very had to sign. Not quite sure what the hint meant
I wrote in the log and concealed it carefully back as found,
TFTCSL Thanks watcache for this Multi-Cache cache!

Had the day off work so headed out for some caches. Always enjoy visiting this park particularly if I get a swim or a cache. Have looked for this cache 3 or 4 times before but there’s always been muggles parked up camping close by. This time the coast was clear and I was soon signing the log. To be honest I did get a hint from the CO last time I saw him and without it I don’t think I would have found the cache however few muggles there were. So glad to finally sign this one off. Thanks watcache. Happy to pay for the hint with a FP!
A quick clue gather and short trip to the final. Took a short elimination and a small effort TFTC watcache!
Needed a cache for a dot day and was in Feilding getting my dog groomed. Great multi in this beautiful park. Log very damp but managed to sign. Tftc.

So I am guessing I either found the wrong plaque or I sucked numerous times at working out the numbers because, despite the checksum being correct,, when I came across GZ later in the day it looked to be on a private property and that didn't look right at all.
Came through this area today and stopped to check on this guy after the recent dnf.
And he is still there waiting to be found
And he is still there waiting to be found
We've failed to find this cache previously, so today we revisited the plaque to double check our coordinates, and found they had changed slightly, but again failed to find the cache.
After attending the event in town this evening we went for two short strolls near the river to find two multis (multi multis if you will) and educate some campers about Geocaching.
This was the last of the two multis. The information was deduced on the second run through, after a lot of counting. At GZ after much searching at four likely locations, while Capperz briefed the near by couple on what we were doing, I tried a spot Capperz had already, however I happened to spot something a bit off and found the cache.

After this evenings event it was time for Tommygun9 and I to head out for a couple of post-event caches in the local area. I'd called by here on the weekend and taken a pic of the self-contained sig near GZ, without reading the cache page. Once back 'home' I realized my error, though did some reading and research in the back story to this occurrence. Back today with tommy and after a couple of checks the details were confirmed and our self contained feet took us to indicated GZ.
With a couple of visitors from out of the region near GZ I explained our hobby/obsession and they seemed intrigued and after I checked 'there' and failed to find, tommy used his superior attributes (eyes and brain) to make the find. Hope to have converted a couple of muggles to be future finders, always hopeful.

This was my second time looking for this one. After recent maintenance and some smiley faces I decided to have another go and this time I wasn't disappointed. the log was very wet and unable to be opened or signed as it wasn't inside a weather proof plastic bag. made a replacement log signed and place in a sealed plastic bag. Also placed original log in separate sealed plastic bag. please see attached photo.
Nice find today with Emmacbl. Busy area but nice and discreet. Special memorial find. Tftc
Day out with Kelly0 and the nieces and nephew, as well as my little cachers.
After having no luck (again) with the nano up the tree I thought I would use the opportunity of having many eyes to find this one.
Super I got it

We're all over two weeks in Level 4 coronavirus lock-down isolation. (That'd be **We're all over it!** )
These daily walks are a necessity to keep one's sanity. Today's walk took me here **AGAIN!**
Fourth visit: first time someone was almost parked on top of it; second and third visits (under lock-down) I couldn't find it, and felt very exposed searching with all the dog walkers around. Today, there's a few but not so many, so I can undertake a more methodical search, including places previously searched.
Ahh, found it. Finally! Sorry CO, I was expecting something cleverer
Not logged until now due to pressure from fellow geocacher's interpretation of the lock-down rules. Thanks for keeping your caches active and thanks for the cache.

As i had no students this afternoon i left home earlier than i usually can and visited friends and caches on the way before arriving early at the event at the Drovers for 20 20 .
It took a few minutes hunting around as i didn't believe my iniital guess and failed to look properly but then i had it hand while none of the 'stayers' were any where around and i didn't feel like i was being watched. . Thanks for the cache and your time and interest in placing it. haydn.seek NZ

The excuse of attending an event to earn a digital souvenir to celebrate the palindromic date seemed like an ideal opportunity to come up to Feilding to catch up with some friendly faces, and grab a few caches whilst I was up here, such as this one.
After the event, I teamed up with searchsteve to go looking for some caches, after which he kindly returned me back to my car and I was able to have a crack at this one. Getting the answers for the final was no issue, but when we arrived at GZ there was an incumbent Muggle making searching freely a bit of an issue.
Eventually the cache was found. I was surprised to find it quite damp inside in spite of the double container, but the paper is waterproof so I was able to sign the log and replace it all before heading home.

Down in timona park today and as it was relatively free from muggles I checked on this one and he is still waiting to be found.
After some friendly advice from the co we returned the next day. We found it in one of the very first places we looked. It wasnt found the first time round as it was covered in thick camouflage and deeper than it should have probably been. Thanks for the placement of the cache watcache. Now after a few nights of homework were off to see if we can find as much s.h.i.e.l.d caches as we can find.
Had a couple looks during dusk last night and this morning. Solved easily but nothing in the area looked like a cache. This is the second cache in the park we tried. Spent a good few hours finding sweet nothing. Wondered if it was because of recent pruning.
I had a really good around but alas I couldn’t come up with the goods. I might have to come back with more eyes!
Great little hide, has us looking for a while. Solving the coordinates was straightforward enough, we were just out of practice with the actual hunting. When you get to the spot just think, a little deeper. TFTC
Parked for the night in the pPark got all the info off the plaque headed for GZ however no find getting rather dark will try again
No luck for us today, got the numbers sorted but missed finding the actual cache
Day #2 of our four day caching trip to Palmerston North. With the weather forecast for thunderstorms and wind, we decided to leave the Stickman trail for another day and today head north to Feilding and beyond.
It was interesting to note that the plaque had no details of the accident itself. We struggled with one of the questions (D) and in the end derived it from the check sum. Our GZ seemed likely but had to be stealthy with various vehicles parked nearby. Took several minutes to track down and in the process got stabbed in the ankle by a rogue (but sharp) stick. It left 2 gouges in my leg . Luckily we found the cache in the end! TFTC.

#16393. We've struggle a bit with the last few caches (must be time to go and find lunch). This search took some time, and w were thankful to be in the shade while searching. TFTC.
I was visiting my grandparents today and we decided to go for a walk a bit overcast but warm we saw many poeple out walking their dogs and then a dog show also lots of tents caravans motorhomes and awnings on the back of vehicles, as I got closer o ground zero there was a van parked up but I don't think they were even aware we were there quickly grabed the cache signed the log and continues on our way thank you for placing a cache here with so much to see and do and yay a park also a lovely area to stay and just visit for the day. cache was all good here today.

Team BOP are still going strong after knocking off 155 caches yesterday.
We have made it into Fielding and concentrating on a few targeted caches or ones in close succession.
We avoided most multis over the weekend, but this was quick and easy to solve and a quick find also.

Team BOP on tour in the Manawatu-Whanganui Region... With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro.
This weekend had been in the pipeline for ages. It was always going to be a mission for various team members to get coordinated leave passes... We secured accommodation in the rural heart of the Manawatu. This placed us well within reach of a massive trail of caches... We travelled in one vehicle, so our journey was filled with lots of laughs, and good times... Fortunately, the majority of caches were in place and were fairly quick to locate - thanks to straightforward hints and great coordinates. Many of the caches had not been found in a while, so containers were waterlogged, and logbooks were wet... Thank goodness for waterproof paper. A huge thank you also, to the various COs who made our weekend worthwhile...
A nice little flowing multi... TFTC.

Road trip time again! This weekend Team BOP consists of Davidson Clan, TNXPro, Squirrelnutcase, FapAndGap, McJandals, NZFlossy & myself. We had a very narrow list of ‘must gets’ so this trip was essentially a numbers mission. As with these trips, most of the caches were found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and straight forward placements. We replaced some logs and containers but most had water proof paper and were all good. A huge thank you to the co’s as this was a beautiful area to visit and there was certainly an abundance of geocaches!!
Everything was fine here, TFTC.

We'd been to this one a number of times before, but mostly just ended up driving on past because of muggle issue's. We'd had one quick look but had to move on when someone parked up right next to GZ.
The coast was clear when we arrived so we started searching. The GPS was jumping around a little bit under the tree's so it was hard to pin point an exact GZ, but Mr Rattll soon came up with the goods despite it being well hidden. But then more muggle issue's as a car parked up near by again as we were signing the log, so we had to wait until they were looking the other way to return the cache.
Thanks for setting this up watcache and with the two caches today, we easily qualify for the latest virtual souvenir - a very easy challenge this time round.

At the event last night we were asked whether we had been back to look for this cache, and were told that it might be a bit easier to find just now. So when our grandson asked if we could go out caching together this afternoon we jumped at the chance to revisit this location. Arrived at GZ and almost immediately had the cache in hand. Very pleased to turn this one from sad blue to happy yellow. Thanks.
#10,225. A challenging multi-cache in Feilding. We had no problem getting the answers to the questions. The checksum agreed. GZ was pretty quiet when we were there. But it still took quite a while to search. Widened the area and examined a number of interesting objects nearby. Eventually returned to near where we started and finally found the cache. Quite an unexpected container for this location, and it looked like it had been dislodged from its host. The cache itself was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Quickly got coords but GPS all over the place. Hunted in garden area indicated but no luck.
Had no problems getting the information and working out a co-ordinate for the final. But despite a long search at GZ this afternoon we were unable to come up with the cache. Decided to move on and find a couple of other caches before possibly returning later. Contacted the CO and got confirmation of the place we should be looking. We are travelling in a Self Contained campervan and spent tonight in Timona Park, so after our dinner we returned to GZ for one last search. Unfortunately we had no more luck this time either. Frustrating knowing that the cache was found yesterday.
The plan that me and Scoria had for the day was to attend the CITO at James Palmer Park and also Another CITO & Souvenir, @ Milverton & Monarchs but before those CITO'S meet up with a group of other cachers to try and get the Secret Seven Society (Manawatu) mystery cache first.
I had solved this one early in the month but was unable to find it. So I came back with Scoria to give it a another go Scoria found it and I thought to myself how did I miss seeing it
Thanks for the Cache

Out with D6NZ totday with 3 goals. A Mob cache and two CITOs. The last CITO was in Palmy so I fired up my app to see which caches I had sitting solved and awaiting a trip to final GZ.
Wow it's been well over a year since I was hopeful of a first to find on this one, only to be scared off by muggles setting up for breakfast nearby as I arrived (and of course not being first on the scene by 10 minutes or so).
Good to return and clear this one which while not technically a DNF since I didn't actually look, was still an unsuccessful find.
Spotted this one fairly quickly and although we did need a tool to retrieve it.
Cheers

Not sure how many thousand K's I have travelled to get this cache...probably over 5 k....revisited and resolved and accurate co ordinates brought me back to the same place as last time..quickly checked the item and the hole was empty...a long head scratch....and whats going on here ...had a closer look at the item and then dug down in the ground cover ...finally found and signed...it may need a redesign as this will happen again and the big spider that was in the hole will be happy once more..

Finally!! We took a "small" detour across to fielding to turn this into a smilie. Rechecked coordinates and headed to gz. Checked place we were positive it should have been but nothing. Had a cursory look around and decided to recheck- no. Then dug around and located this elusive little thing. Signed and replaced as best able in intended spot. Thanks for the placement watcache- so glad that we found this.
Noted that this cache had been replaced recently and so with today being a dot-day decided to remove this sad face from the map. Had to be over in Feilding this evening for the Jr. Cacher's swimming and thought that GZ would be reasonably quiet due to the wet weather.
Went straight to the place where we had surmised the cache was hidden and there it was, however the retrieval 'tool' detached leaving the container behind! Managed to extract the cache and had just done so when a muggle pulled up nearby - thankfully their view was partly obscured but no idea what they thought was going on...
Retreated to the car to sign the log and apply a band-aid fix (literally - used some very sticky plasters from the first-aid kit) to the container. Waited for the muggles to decide the weather wasn't that great and move on before finally returning the cache. Thanks for the multi watcache but unfortunately this one needs a little attention.

A thousand apologies for mucking everyone around I thought I had disabled this one until I had checked and found it had gone awol and have now resurected this one again.
Have rechecked the coords and have used the waypoint averaging feature on my gps and have tweaked the questions to suit.
Good hunting.

A nice quick solve and soon at GZ but where ...looked and looked and time ticked and looked with out luck ....I am guessing it’s gone as I found a place or two that would certain hiding places ....also there were muggles gathering those painted stones as there was a good collection of these laying around ....bother I hate DNFs especially when they are a long way from home
Got coordinates and headed to likely gz. Hunted high and low and found a very likely spot but nothing there. Hunted further afield and spent a long time here. Very disappointed to not find this.
No sure if our coordinates are wrong or its missing, but no luck again for us today.
Grabbed the information for this one a few weeks back, however the final was too busy for a search. Returned this evening to have a look but couldn't spot the cache by torchlight. The GPS indicated a couple of potential spots but seems that this is a tricky hide...
Second try at this one. Went back to see if we had the right coordinates, and all seemed fine so off to GZ. No luck and we searched for ages.
Came back today to see if I could knock this pesky cache of and finally came up trumps! Well hidden.Tftc cache an smiley
Solved this multi two days ago on a very cold evening. Back today to find this very tricky, crafted hide. Thanks watcache for this multi cache.
# 986 I had the pleasure of escorting a visitor around a couple of Manawatu caches today. This was one of them. A group of us easily solved the puzzle, but the cache was a little harder to find. With four sets of adult eyes, and a couple of junior eyes looking around, it took longer than expected. (not true, from previous logs I expected a challenge) In the end I was lucky enough to spot the hide, near an item that I had already disregarded when passing my eyes around that spot three or four times prior. Nicely crafted hide and cache container. Very sneaky. Thanks watcache.
Came out with a small group to tick off 3 Feilding caches that have been bugging me for a while. After one DNF (due to incompatible technology) we were off to this one. Gathering the required final co-ordinates proved no difficulty and off we went to the final location. Having found a few watchache caches before I knew it would not be a quick find. We searched and searched and re-read the description, hint and past logs. Eventually we discovered the sneaky blighter and were soon signing the log. Thanks for this cache watcache.
Came prepared with other cachers who all knew that cachers by this owner can be tricky. Puzzle solved quickly but finding the tricky hide was another story ! We got there in the end. TFTC
Have had many attempts at trying to find this pesky little cache an still no luck. This one is ither really tricky or I am out right blind! maybe a hint needed here.
Went for a walk today to check to see if alive and well yes it is still there waiting to be found has suffered from a small amount of creep but nothing major
We soon found the plaque, and although a couple of the questions were not entirely straightforward, we soon had a reasonable set of coordinates, however, despite 7 pairs of searching eyes, we were unable to track down the cache.
RIP Ralph & Brett. Thanks for the multi watcache.
I always enjoy a bit of geocaching while walking the dog around this area.
This find required 2 visits for me as the hide was so tricky...
Kids may need a hand getting to this one but at least it's not likely to be accidentally destroyed.

This find required 2 visits for me as the hide was so tricky...
Kids may need a hand getting to this one but at least it's not likely to be accidentally destroyed.

The kids were out with mum so I decided to hop on my bike to grab a few caches. I had attempted this cache earlier with capperz but was too good for us at the time. This time, armed with a tiny hint from a friend, I had another go at this one. This time I was not disappointed and soon had the log signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

After visiting this place many times with either no luck or muggles around today I hit jackpot no one around I am going to find this time, so dad and I hunted and hunted and at long last came up with the goods, nice easy multi for all (just the way I like them), thanks for the sneaky placement
We had a couple of things to do in Feilding today, so a couple of caches got fitted in too.
It took us a little while to sort out a couple of our answers here too, mainly a matter of interpretation. Finally we had likely co-ords and set off.
Our GPS was a bit unsettled, and lacking a hint, we weren't sure where precisely to focus our search. Mrs G decided to message the CO to check we had the right co-ords but, before we had a reply, Mr G came up trumps with the cache - phew. Soon the log was signed and the cache re-hidden.
We enjoyed the areas of shady trees in the park on this hot, sunny afternoon. Thanks for bringing us here watcache.

Many thanks

Why is it so many people around, just when I am hunting, and kids think I'm hunting pokemon. Don't want the little sweethearts deciding they will have a go, sooooooo, looking for a lost ring ??? might fool them.!
Needing one find for a dot day and left a bit too late for work I asked CNAH to pop along and sort the questions while I was at work for us to find later. She had that in no time at all. It was glorious weather - finally - and so I walked to CNAH's and we walked down to the park. Followed the co-ordinates to the site and discovered a second plaque on the way! My phone was jumping all around at the location but once we had it sorted as to where we should be looking it was a very quick find. Love this park - we used to live at the end of Pool St at one of the entrances. The kids loved coming down here. I was surprised to see how many freedom campers are down here now. Bumped into a friend on the walk home and chatted ages and got home at 7pm lol. Over two hours finding one weeny multi! TFTC
Saw the notification of the new cache when I woke up but being a Sunday morning, I didn't rush out of bed as I figured another local FTF chaser would be all over this. After a leisurely breakfast and getting ready for the day, I noticed that the FTF was still up for grabs so I decided to come and check it out.
Found the required information easily enough and the cache was a quick find at the final. A few muggle mobiles about but no people however others may have difficulty depending on the time of day. [FTF] at 9.01am.
Spotted another cacher who I didn't recognise at the plaque on my way out of the park so only just pipped them to the post.
TFTC and my first FTF for 2017

Woke up to find a new published cache in the direction I was travelling today. Got to town and it still wasn't logged as found. Woohoo, could be a first to find for me.
Found the plaque, did the math, walked the distance and what do i find but right at ground zero are a couple of muggle campers setting up for breakfast.
Oh well. I have the coordinates, might not be a ftf but at least I can go straight to it next time
