Its taken a cache to get me down to this beach after 7 yrs living in Rye. what a beautiful spot. tftc
Spending the day geocaching down on the Mornington Peninsula. Mostly targeting FTFs and old geocaches and any others that I seem to be driving near.Good coordinates made for an easy find while listening to the surf. Then I strolled down and sat on the beach just enjoying the view. The waves were crashing nicely, and would have been good out there surfing. Thanks for the cache, Field Mouse 2.HunterPS. Log almost full
Found by Bob at 1335The gps was playing up a bit today and took me 50m past the cache before deciding we'd gone too far. After that it was a quick find before noticing the object in the hint. Thanks Fieldmouse2
Started at rye Beach carpark and walked the 700m here as a little fathers day walk. Enjoyable walk along the beach with one of the kids making the quick find. Always good when they make the find. Makes them less resistant next time I suggest a cache detour
Enjoying a few days down in Rosebud, so I took the opportunity to search out some caches.
I spent my last morning exploring this part of the peninsula that I don't know so well
A quick find of the micro container, with the cold blustery conditions keeping the muggles away.
All in good dry condition.

A nice quick find when reaching the coordinates .. such a beautiful beach too. Thanks Fieldmouse2 for placing and maintaining the cache
After being sandblasted while walking up the beach it was nice to take this detour and make a find. Thanks for the little adventure
Easy find, and you can easily see if muggles are coming with plenty of notice. TFTC
1400!! Out for an early morning cycle to Rye Back Beach and Gunnamatta. Made the diversion for this one and watched the sunrise. Lovely views. All good here. Thanks for placing this cache Fieldmouse2 #1400
Spent a lovely walk along the beach to get here now it’s time to go back to the car and have a rest
We thought the most difficult part was finding the access to the path and then we realised there was a waypoint specifically for parking.
Quick find beautiful view cash in great condition.

Was there yesterday but got very confused with where the track was didn't look map up properly was just trying to follow navigation which just looked like a whole lot of houses - researched it when I got home and parked where the map said and bingo there was the track. I was trying to walk the track from the Rye beach car park. Thanks for the hide and another unknown track
We decided to walk along the beach- it was blowing a gale... any chance of a lift back to the car? Lol! Nice easy find, thanks for another adventure

Parked along with a few other cars and made the walk along the narrow trail. At GZ the view emerged so we knew to start searching. A couple of groups of surfers came past but they were only focused on get wet. Once coast was clear we made the find. Log signed and all back safe again.
Thanks Fieldmouse2

Thanks heaps jaamc_3335 for introducing me to the wonderful world of Geo caching xx tftc
Wandered down the path to gz after trying to find a parking spot.
Wasn't long before I looked around and spied the cache on the ground.
Signed the log and hung it back up where it was meant to go.
Thanks for placing this here!

TFTC!! The wind was up today so the name was apt. Geokkds were keen to play on the beach so thanks for adventure!
Found by Mr Squalid after a short search. Mrs S spent quite a while trying to get a decent photo of a TB to put into the cache, but the cache was too small, when I finally looked. Darn. TFTC
I was down this way with a little bit of time to spare this afternoon so manged to try a few caches. After a find nearby I headed further down Dundas St towards this one. I was pleased to spot the path down to the beach and parked up at that area. Headed off again on foot though this path was firm and better suited to my work shoes than the last one. When I got to GZ there were a few options but the hint was helpful and soon after checking that I spotted the cache. I was able to grab it and shortly after had the log in hand to do the signing duties. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Fieldmouse2.
After spending two weeks on the Mornington Peninsula I had some spare time to go geocaching today. It was a very short visit so I parked at the suggested spot and then made a quick walk towards the beach. After signing the log I walked back to my car, turning my back on the beach that I wanted to visit, and returned to my task of caring for my relatives at our holiday house.
Thank you Fieldmouse2 for this cache and letting me enjoy some 'me time'.

With the year coming to an end, I decided it was time to find a cache or two while I was on holidays down on the Peninsula... having found the nearby *Spur of the Moment* cache, I contemplated walking down the beach to this one... but changed my mind as I found the going a bit tough in the wet soft sand. Instead I opted to go back to my car and drive to the suggest parking location and take a much shorter walk from there.

I was in need of a leg stretch and this cache was right here.
No wind this morning, a beautiful Spring day. Blue skies and a few fluffy white clouds.
Oh yeah and a cache.
Took nothing (except photos), left nothing (other than foot prints in the sand), visited some travelers.
Thank you Fieldmouse2, a very pleasant location indeed.

I picked this one up today, after work on a cool and grey winters day. There was no wind today, just nice waves rolling in. I made a quick find and made my way down to the beach where i saw a pair of endangered Hooded Plovers, running away from the waves as they came in. I hadn't been on this track before, after over 40 years on the peninsula, amazing where caching will take you!
Thanks for Fieldmouse2 for showing me this nice little access to the beach.
Cheers, BWBandit

This afternoon I head out on a bit of a cache finding run down the peninsula with biggles1024.
By now we were heading for home but there is no reason why we can't stop to have a look if we are going right passed it, so we found the track in the darkness and went for a stroll to GZ, a quick look around and we were then signing the log.

My first caching run with Steve for quite some time. We headed to the Peninsula to see what we could find. A quick walk through the scrub by torchlight saw us arrive at GZ and our search commenced. Once again it was Steve who found the cache. [B)]

So we are down here on our annual week on the MP staying in Capel Sound this time, we had a relaxing morning then set off here. We had stayed in St Andrews last year so had found all of the caches in the area so it was nice to have an excuse to come back over this side. The sea is a beautiful turquoise today. Thanks for the parking co-ords, often caches don’t have them and we struggle to find the track lol Cache was a nice easy find at GZ

Away for the night for our 20 year wedding anniversary, we planned on getting some caches while we were here.
We drove over yesterday and relaxed at the Peninsula Hot Springs. Well worth a visit if you haven't been.
Staying close by we thought we'd pick up caches on the way to the ferry... I'd like to report we picked up a swag of them but unfortunately only picked up a few.
The weather was kind, the sand definitely wasn't!
We found this cache (our first for the day) easily in a sure to be muggle free spot.
Another find by the McPhail family.

Based in Safety Beach, we crossed the peninsula, to seek out some coastal caches. We enjoyed the walk, the view and the salty wind. A FP for this neat little cache.
Thanks Fieldmouse2 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Find #8712
Out and about with my regular caching partner in crime SedgwickDave. Our primary target was the dozen or so BTU caches that we had yet to find and then any other cache that took our fancy. There was also the rule when we go caching together to find at least 3 cache types, just to mix it up a bit.
The wind really had died down by the time we got here, so no salty wind for us today. We did find the cache tho
Many thanks to Fieldmouse2 for the cache. TNLN.

Upon driving into the area I thought to myself geez I really have never been here before, well now thanks to geocaching I have. Now another beach cache woohoo. Quick walk down to the GZ showed that there was only one real spot that it could realistically be hidden and right I was the cache was soon in hand after avoiding the metal deterrent known as barbed wire. Lucky I am tall and have long arms as the cache was soon retrieved and signed. Anyways thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

This one was a nice easy pick up in a great location. I've often driven past this track but never ventured down it. There was certainly lots of salty wind around today. Good coords led us straight to it. Amazed to see that apart from what appears to be the FTF hunters it had no other finds. It sure is a funny game we play. A good hide in a great location with a fantastic view. Go figure.
Thanks Fieldmouse2 for the cache and for bringing us here

Congrats on first cache placement. Great cache, great location- another little walking track we never knew about
Saw this one and told the husband to scoff his dinner we are going hunting lol. Found it opened it hoping for a blanl log but alas there was a name there. All good still enjoyed the thrill of the hunt and saw a big grasshopper and a ringtail possum. Many thank for the cache
It would've been handy if this had of been published about 5 hours earlier than it was as I was caching along here earlier today and I had this feeling a new cache was going to come up also around that time or maybe I just thought it'd be nice if a new cache came up!
Any excuse to bring me over to this side of the coast is always worth it and even better as the sun was going down and still a balmy feeling in the air and a slight breeze. Managed to park and found the trail and a relatively hidden one it is. Approached GZ and had the cache in hand fairly quickly and signed in the FTF spot. Carried on towards the beach, with not a soul around and took in the atmosphere and the sound of the waves for a moment.
A very pleasant cache to find. Thanks to Fieldmouse2 for bringing me here.
