Out with Kiwi Does Stuff for a quiet Sunday caching mission in and out of Hamilton through all of the backroads. An army of ants attacked once the rusted tin lid was opened. Got there in the end! TFTC!
Sunday afternoon / Evening mission with Reschedule. Taking some back roads to / from Hamilton. Cache had alot of Ants on it.
Out and about with the shoebs.A nice quick, easy, find, grab, sign, and flee.TFTC
Im out doing some geocaching between shifts today making the most if the lovely weather. A quick find for me because it was lying out in the open. I have tucked it in closer to the fence and hope i chose the right spot. Be careful of prickly brambles very nearby though. Thanks for the cache. Unable to sign log because its soaked so photo is for evidence
School holidays so time for a road trip and some caching. Stayed the night on Duncan road and this was the nearest cache. Seemed rude not to look for it. Woke early and walked to GZ. No problems finding the cache but the log is soaked. Unable to sign hence the photo taken with the help of car headlights on the highway. Thanks for the smiley.
Going for a cycle to Tamahere we stopped off to claim this cache. Needs a new llog as it was damp and difficult to retrieve. TFTC
Found this with FMZ while out caching around this area. We decided to explore what was down the end of this road.... this cache! TYFTC!
A nice easy find here after we decided to take a look at what is down the end of this road. TFTC!!!
Nearly gave up but was determined not to finish my caching day with a dnf ...
Thought I had thoroughly searched the ends of both fences...but no....
Phew!

We had an enjoyable time exploring this road to nowhere in particular, thanks to the placement of this cache.
There was no one around and we made a nice quick find although the cache wasn't in the first place we looked.
Thanks 11hpg11 for bringing us to another interesting spot.

Been to Hamilton so detoured down this dead end to grab this cache. Replaced the container, which was showing sad signs of weathering. TFTC
I swung round past Cambridge (quite a big detour actually) on my way home from work today to pick up this cache. Bit of a maze to get here - through road works etc - but not a difficult find at the end which was great! TFTC

This one took us a little while as we had to wait out some muggle children riding around the area on their bikes (although it was nice to see some children playing outside and amusing themselves, a rarity these days!). Nice quick find after that. TFTC

With the traffic roaring past take heed. Mind the flowers and grass. This will leave a fresh taste in your mouth.
Nice quick park and grab. This one completes my 7 modern wonders. Tanks for the placement.
The hiding spot of this one really surprised me. The cache is bigger than I thought it would be. TFTC
I was running ahead of schedule, so I had time to grab a few more in Cambridge. TFTC.

#11,553. Park and grab on Duncan Road in Tamahere. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of the visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

#503. Set off on a Saturday morning run through some Tamahere / Hautapu caches and it was third time lucky on making a find. Quiet spot, the expressway has changed the road access through here. TFTH.
Clearing up a few odd bods on the way to Hamilton. Thanks for the placement 11hpg11
Three out of three so far this morning. Grabbing as many as possible before I move away from Hamilton.
The weather was looking perfect for a caching trip, so myself, Philip.Perry and Squirrel.Nutcase joined forces and decided to hit the Waikato area to try clear Squirrels map.
A quick find here in a seemingly random spot.
I bet the locals enjoy having the quiet of the dead end and I'm sure now they look at every car going past with a suspicious thought.

With a break in the weather the only thing I really had to do today was geocache. I had no plans so enlisted TNXPro and Squirrelnutcase to search for a worthy adventure. What no one knew at the time was this adventure would span 21 hours, cover 3 regions and we'd have Davidson clan join us at the half way point. A crazy day but there's no denying - it's a lot more fun with friends!
This cache was a nice little park'n'grab and it was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward hint. Cheers 11hpg11, TFTC

Wow there have certainly been some changes with the new expressway - Thinking back with how busy it used to be at GZ a few years back. TFTC
Heading home from Te Awamutu and stopped to pick this one up which I missed yesterday. Cache was soon located and it was an interesting place to watch all the traffic whizzing past. TFTC
Another new road and quick find. Its not about the numbers! Thanks very much 11hg11
a quick find and a quicker jump when i saw the large spider protecting this cache, tftc but not the spider
Out and about on a cold frosty morning but that's what you do instead of having a sleep in. Quick find. Tftc
Time for a drive around the block. There have been a few new caches since I was last around here, a nice quick find. There's a really interesting tree not too far from GZ
Found on a long weekend up in the Waikato, with family, friends, and caching. Ticks all my boxes!!
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

We've enjoyed our little tour this morning, but this is the end of the road for us today TFTC!
Parked the car at the Tamahere church and cycled from there to get the five caches on the west side of the expressway, Another good hide.

These caches were annoying me, as I've driven past a few times, but hadn't made the time to stop. So today was the day! When I'd been looking at this on online I had wondered if I'd be driving up someones driveway! Lucikly it was a nice turning circle, and fairly obvious where to look for the cache.
Cheers for the smiley face!

Its Been a while and now its time to catch up on all the logging that I've put off to a rainy day (while it may not be raining, where we were heading the roads are still closed hence sitting here doing this).
Thought that I should be doing a bit of a clean up around Hamilton and will admit that following the tomtom was not the best way to get there but rather eventually made it after a spot of trial and error. Very interesting to see how the roads have altered with the advent of the expressway and also what were quite busy roads have become quiet roads.
Thanks for the Cache, thanks for the Placement

8,40am - Trip to Auckland with the Squirrel and a couple of new cachers on board with us. No real plans but with one multi cache in mind. With this ticked off it was just a day of increasing our cache numbers. A good with some interesting cache hides with a couple needing needing repairs and a couple of misses. Thanks to all the cache owners for todays trip. SLTFTC
I had 7 caches lined up for today as it wasn't raining. Hubby said he would bike with me. It is so much nicer having company as we cycled around the roads either side of the expressway. We visited friends once I had found the 7 caches. 7 smiles . #3. So far the cycling has been really nice. This was a nicely placed cache. TFTC.
Wasn't really tired at 10pm so thought I'd go for a drive and collect the caches in this patch. Shouldn't be too hard with the cover of darkness This is the second spot I've been driving to where I've passed the same blue van.. Hope they weren't up to any mischief... Certainly have been a few changes with the expressway from when I lived in Cambridge.
TFTC 11hpg11, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 6 finds of 7 today, making this find #1564

Heading to Auckland with Nerweed and Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
This is our first time travelling through Cambridge in a while... It's surprising how much the Expressway has changed this area. The new road has effectively cut rural communities in half. We like that it has created lots of new opportunities to hide caches, and we're pleased that someone is making use of these newly formed dead end roads... Nice to see the other side of this roadside barrier. TFTC.

after a day of DNF's in Rotorua we decided to find some easier ones a bit closer to home, searched in all the wrong spots even after reading the clue, after a 2nd look it was found
I joined HKCB and Kiwi69 on a road trip from the Tron to Rotorua, primarily to attend a local event but to also spend a couple of hours geocaching before heading home. We managed to get away just after 5 and I was tucked up in bed by midnight. Unfortunately for us it bucketed down most of the time and we got absolutely saturated.
Thankfully for us Kiwi69 lives in this area and was able to navigate us to this one. Beaten to a FTF by about 30 minutes.

Went to Rotorua to attend an event with HKCB and Iammrwalker & to find a few caches before heading home - it seemed a great plan until the weather bomb appeared. But, not to be deterred by a little rain or darkness, we carried on. By this stage of the night, we were 110% soaked, had admitted it was madness & were heading home ... until a few new caches were published haha. Wondered if we'd make it back in time to beat the local FTF hound but also, no - missed out by a narrow margin.
I was navigating, HKCB wasn't overly confident haha .. thankfully managed to find the right dead-end (phew) & another one for tonight's tally. thanks for the hide

Was caching around Rotorua after the event down there tonight with Kiwis69 and Iammrwalker when we got the alerts for newly published caches in Hamilton. After finishing off what we were doing down there, with thought we'd stop by these ones on the way home, with a small hope to get the FTF. Alas KGD had beaten us there by 30mins or so.
FTF Just arrived home from event in Rotorua when this popped up. I debated going back out in the rain. In the end common sense did not prevail so off I went. All quiet at GZ so was relieved to see a blank log. Signed and returned. Now to go home and finish that coffee.
