Out and about enjoying the hidden gems of our country. On a cool Central Otago morning, no fog or frost, making the most of the new Matariki holiday. Never have I driven around this side of the state highway, but MrF has done lots of deliveries to this area so knows it well. TFTC Enjoying the fruits of CO labour

G'day from Australia!!!
Stumble Trip had been in NZ for the past 6mths, working on the Milford Track. Stumble's Mate flew in to meet up with her and we spent the next 2wks traveling the beautiful South Island in a camper. Whilst the weather wasn't favourable for the first week, we had an awesome time and travelled some 3,200+kms, seeing some beautiful sites and staying in just as beautiful campsite along the way.
Thanks to all the CO. Unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition.

Found it!
Following another cacher! Managed to beat them to this one by skipping the pear cache then doubling back. Instant regret when I tapped the banana on the bonnet of my car to get the pill bottle out and around 30 earwigs came out with it gave me a big fright!
Out on our South Island holiday for a bit of time around Cromwell. Picking up a few caches I didn’t get around to last year

I'm staying in Clyde for a couple of days. Headed into Cromwell early this morning. to have a look around and find a cache or two. After seeing the Big Fruit yesterday I did the Little Fruit run today. TFTC
Was about to give up on this one. It wasn’t a hard find - there was a muggle parked nearby and didn’t look like leaving. After waiting a short while I was about to leave when the school bus pulled up and a children got off and into the car and they were gone. Phew! Quickly signed the log and replaced. Tftc
We over shot this one and had to about turn to locate it after the pear !
Today was set aside to do a geo caching day to Cromwell if the weather was unsuitable for skiing which is was , so we set off early at about 8.30 and finally arrived home about 5.30 with approx 41 caches in total including the adventure lab , so we were very pleased. we took a muggle who have been intro' to geocaching briefly on a few days before and so today was a big geo caching experience for her and as i had 2 GPS's with me she was able to use one quite independently by half was thro the day.
we enjoyed spending some time at the historic Cromwell area which none of us had actually explored before and where we had lunch at the Grain cafe.
we only had 2 DNFs and both were of puzzle style caches which we had solved but there was nothing at GZ.
thank you for these caches

On holiday staying in Wanaka and decided to check out a town we haven't visited on previous trips and today it was Cromwell. Had a good time exploring the town including the museum which is near the cafes in the town centre area and then some caching - a perfect day really!
At around 3pm I was eyeing up the series as we had finished exploring the town. 'How long can I cache for then?' 'Until you get a DNF was the response' Well if that was not motivation to find them all I don't know what was! Woohoo local caches and series here we come!!
Most of the family don't actually like bananas but right now I LOVE THEM well especially ones that have a cache in them! Quick find and we were on our way again.
Thanks for the cache.

Back in Cromwell gathering fruit. I guess most people think we must be a bit bananas .
We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective to much. We scored 3x nights at Rotary Glen with max occupancy of 10 vans. The plan was just staying 2 nights but it's just to nice here. We never explored Cromwell, just raced through so we're going to make the most of it. The wind is already picking up and growing into a decent storm as the day progresses. A quick find before we're going to indulge ourselves into some more fruit caches, yum! Thank you RowenaD
We are out and about in the area finding some caches and enjoying exploring and revisiting other areas again.
Today we focused on healthy eating, making sure we got our recommended number of servings of fruit and veges.
Thank you RowenaD.

Just as we arrived at this one, so did the lady of the house opposite, then a truck arrived, and shortly after a man on a quad bike. Rush hour in muggle world! Undeterred, we waited them out, grabbed it quickly, and left so as not to arouse any more suspicion. Found with Flumsy2.
Poor little broken container. Cache log itself in good condition. Found no problem.
Cache 298 Finally some PnGs for my adventure wahoo onto the next

Out for the day doing the Little Fruit trail. Another one that Mr S got out to find. Mrs S is not a huge fan of bananas. They are okay as long as they are not too ripe. The best ones are those you can pick off the tree when in the islands.
Thanks RowenaD.
Thanks RowenaD.
Easy find after lunch by the river. We started this series last November and today we are back to finish it off. Muggled by a neighbour who slowed down and looked at me curiously.
Had a great time finding caches today as we journeyed back to Gore from Queenstown, took the long way via cromwell. Was a lovely mild winter's day, and although we found a few around Cromwell, I think we might have to come back and get the rest! TFTC loved the fruit series
On a 7 day caching trip with Nosynel. Seventh day on the road focusing on caches in Cromwell. Looking for fruit! Thanks for the hide

An early start for me this morning....out on a bike ride loop of Cromwell township to grab a pile of the fruit series caches. We are staying in the nearby campground for a week so plenty of time to explore the local area.
The plan was to cycle along the lake edge path...but seems to be closed for construction- so now going to follow the road.
Sorry for the repetitive logs - but a great cache series.
