Out for the day doing the Little Fruit trail. We finally spotted the cache and it took Mr S a little while to retrieve it, being mindful of getting zapped then while he was replacing it he dropped it so had to retrieve again. Love cherries and our cherry tree finally produced several dozen cherries last year and before we could bird proof them we lost half of them. Did manage to get a dozen or so to eat. We will take more care this year.
Thanks RowenaD.
Thanks RowenaD.
Fourth cache for that day. Love the fruit containers.
Delayed log, did those once a week ago.

Had a great time finding caches today as we journeyed back to Gore from Queenstown, took the long way via cromwell. Was a lovely mild winter's day, and although we found a few around Cromwell, I think we might have to come back and get the rest! TFTC loved the fruit series
Jude_E chatted to the ochardist while finding the cache. Jude_E and I spent last night in Arrowtown and are planning on finding the fruit series, doing the lab cache and other geocaches in the Cromwell area. It is our final full day on this Otago Road trip.. Thanks RowenaD for creating this hide. It was find 8711 for me.

An early start for me this morning....out on a bike ride loop of Cromwell township to grab a pile of the fruit series caches. We are staying in the nearby campground for a week so plenty of time to explore the local area.
The plan was to cycle along the lake edge path...but seems to be closed for construction- so now going to follow the road.
LOVE the cherries here....almost as good as our Marlborough ones - but heaps more of them.
Sorry for the repetitive logs - but a great cache series.

You must be a tall human to make this waist height. Found fast enough with a park and grab. Thanks for the cache.
Bringing Aussie Pete home from the airport. Had to do a few caches on the way home TFTC
Shortly before grabbing this one we stopped at the fruit store and had some real cherries. I wasn’t tempted to eat the ones here.
Today we made a nice little tour in Cromwell. Found a lot of fruit and some other nice caches. Thanks to all the CO's for maintaining the caches. TFTC.
It took quite a while to spot this cache, somewhat higher than the hint suggests, although once spotted, it was very obvious. TFTC
Out to get some caches today before we head for Queenstown and the flight home. TFTC
From Wanaka to Queenstown we decided we make this little fruit trail very Nice with the trees with bloesem

Up staying in Clyde for a weekend and thought I would catch up on some of the caches around Cromwell - what an awesome series. Thanks to RowenaD for all your great work setting up this series. What fun for children and also for the child with in us grown ups.
Was disappointed to see LVL had been logging her online logs on a different date ( by 5 + months ) to when she actually visited the caches. Imagine if we all did that !

*A fresh new day seen me grabbing my vitamin ABC's while winter time dots are thin on the ground for August soon to be rectified with a push over the border ploughing new fields of Central Otago of it's green dots turning dozens of dates from one singular shade of green to a multiple darker green on the 'finds' table*. Missed spotting this one in the gloom and returned to pick it up. The cherries had fallen from the container, so I wedged them into the zip tie attaching the bison to the hide. Plenty of peeps complaining of the wet logslip so we gave it a wipe before signing the RITR log paper. Good to go then. Cherries are everyone's favourite until you need to collect the stones for propagation ha ha. Here you go kids, have a box each and don't forget to spit out the stone in the bucket of sand. Surprisingly it hasn't put me off cherries. Still luv 'em. Thanks for the fruity fun RowenaD.
Found with StreetWalker on day #4 of our extended Easter break. Today we are travelling from Clyde to Cromwell then onto the old gold fields of Logantown, then back to Clyde.
Not an instant find - should have checked what sort of fruit we were looking for else it would have been faster. Nice hide, good enough to eat. TFTC.

Collecting a few of this series before finally heading into Cromwell. Found this one reasonably quickly. #2378. TFTC.

I loved doing this series of caches, and seeing all the different cache containers. It was a very fun way to spent a morning, thanks for putting them all out. TFTC
A great way to spend a morning doing a lovely series of caches, Mr 5 absolutely loved it. Thanks for placing all these caches
On a road trip south, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. Today we make the fruit loop TFTC

Took us a while, we nearly quit our hunt as GPS was playing up but all of a sudden we spotted it!
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 2 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. Today I decided to go for a look at the old part of town and then for a bit of a drive.
Time to hunt out some different fruit.
Cheers for the cache.

On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day five driving from Lake Hawea to Te Anau. Thank you for the cache
- thank you so much for this fantastic trail! had such a good time driving around and running over to find each piece of fruit, with a big grin on my face each time I found one. I just wish I could favourite them all!

Another wet Log Book that had to be dried out for us to sign..Luv Cherries.TFTH
We have found this cache with Old Croman and Muller T. during our holiday in New Zealand. We really apreciate this trail, the caches were nicely done. Unfortunately the weather was not good, it was raining whole day. Some logbooks were full and wet.
Today we made a trip in and around Cromwell, thus visiting many sightseeing highlights. On this trip we searched, found and logged many caches, too. The weather was beautiful, sunny, very warm, no little bit cloudy, and only sometimes there was some wind.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had to drive their cars on the not too easy roads around here.
Thanks to RowenaD for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Little Fruit - Cherries. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

The youngest of the EU crew was involved in a hockey tournament for 3 days, so some great caching had between games. Enjoyed the Little Fruit series. TFTC
We headed out mid morning to do a few trails. These caches were very well placed and interesting. We got lots of enjoyment from it, one we DNF but as we discovered the style we went back and made the find.
Great morning for caching this part of the country

A wintery expedition to see if we can locate the elusive Hidden Creatures world turtle.
Beautiful day. Frosty and no breeze. Perfect!
Love the container.
I have issues with electric fences.... many issues... but then looked again

I had only just mentioned, "watch out for top wire, it might be hot"... when i spotted it. Turns out it wasn't. Loving this series, this was just about the "cherry on the top"?
Many thanks to all the COs who helped make our geocaching holiday a great success
We left home early April and returned 21 May 2018. We toured from our home base up to a wedding in North Taranaki then carried on heading south right down through wellington and on down the west coast and back up via the eastern side of the alps some times going around in circles. Our aim was to get as many smiley faces on the puzzle caches that we had solved but of course stopping for many traditionals, multies and others as we went. some time we biked the bike trails or walked but mostly by campervan. we enjoyed the quite back country roads, many of them were metal but we just travelled along slowly going from cache to cache. Most caches were in good condition and I will remark if we thought it needs maintence etc.

In Alexandra for a bit of an easter family holiday. After a fun day biking in Arrowtown then Luging in Queenstown (very touristy us!) we were heading back to Alexandra to rustle up some tea....and MrsTG suggested a wee detour 'around the block', not one to complain I followed her directions around the corner.....MrsTG and Mr8 leaping from the car to make the find and sign. Most fun & a cool cache....Mr8 excited for the next.....

Couldn't find this one very early this morning. So came back before I leave Cromwell for this visit and very pleased to find it this time and to complete the series. Yum cherries - great way to finish this fun series with so many amazing containers. TFTC # 12,146
Was distracted by something else here then spotted a flash of red. Thanks for the placement Rowenad

We finally reached Cromwell, and we visited a few orchards including one owned by a Friend of my sister’s. We stocked up on cherries and raspberries and we were ready for the little fruit trail. Each of the caches were easily found but all unique and a pleasure to find. Thanks for the series!
Unique note: I had a little help from my dad who spotted the cache hanging.
