After a check to how the weather would be, it was off on a 3 day trip to the West Coast, weather tunred out to be great , and a lot of great caches found-, Many thanks to all the caches placers Bitsprayer
My dad and I decided to look for caches (for our first time) on our way to hokitika, and spent around ten minutes looking but couldn't find it
Hubbie practising with his topomap and the TA walkway so wanted to stop here. Quick find on a very sunny windy -NW day. Thanks
Great lunch stop, we found the cache in good condition. I wonder who would ever wait here for a bus though?
Getting back on Tr Araroa after Xmas and it was not long before I was hunting for another stash. This one was found quite quickly after a wee bit of circling to narrow down ground zero. Had some trouble squeezing the container out from its hide but soon had cache in hand. My thanks go to Gh6710 for this hide, great to nab a smiley to mark my path southward, cheers.-- This log is trackable ! ---- Feel free to discover ---- Please mention, in which cache you've seen this code: ---- 3TABQX --
Was camping at Hanmer Springs and with today being a "spare day" I decided to geocache up SH7 up as far as the NZ Deer Stalkers Hut using my un-emcumbered tug. (When I usually travel that highway I have my caravan attached and thus have to forgo any geocaching due to the lack of suitably sized pull off spots.) A quick find made ahead of an approaching rain shower. TFTC GH6710.
I was hoping to pick up a few caches along this road towards the Lewis Pass.
This is the first I found this afternoon.
Cheers for the cache, GH6710.

Found this cache while tramping with five friends up to Hope shelter. Spent three days here, the middle one taking an excursion to three mile hut. Weather was ok here. The cache was well concealed, hard too take from its hiding spot. Logbook and cache in very good condition. Off to Hamner for pies now! Find # 792

Driving back to Christchurch (to fly back to Canberra), I made a few stops to grab specific caches needed to help qualify for some challenges. Cache easily found. TFTC.

11,141. I have been in Nelson for the past 2 days. Today we are driving to Christchurch via Lewis Pass. We stopped here on the way south to do this cache. This has been a difficult cache to get. I stopped here several years ago with the family and there were muggles parked beside the shelter. So didn't look then. Last year we stopped here again and there was a family in a tent beside the shelter. Today there was a guy inside the shelter as we approached. Fortunately my friend is eagle eyed and spied the cache as we approached. She was able to reach and get the cache without the muggle being any the wiser. We signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks GH6710 for the cache.
. 1693. 11:26 am. Where did this geocache appear from? It popped up in C:geo after finding the one further down the track. Found with eKitten, GRAkiWi, Li0npaw and Jenryellea. Signed kanoe+GeLj. TFT(windy)C.
Easy find on day one of holiday. Just out to find a few caches each day. All good here. Tftc
Beaut day ..quickly stopped here to grab the cache all good here thanks GH6710 I would love to do this walk...must make time lol
We are very slowly working our way across to the west coast. My phone gos decided to stop working for most of today so, as navigator, I was a tad frustrated. I used macwatt's phone to guide us here. No problem with the final thankfully. Thanks for the placement GH6710
Heading west from Hanmer Springs today we stopped at the carpark for a quick walk and then lunch.
A nice easy find.

I’m on my TA journey and caching has taken a bit of a back step…. But today as it was an easy ish track from Hope Kiwi lodge I decided to open the app and see if there were any nearby. Lucky I had saved to an offline list ages ago…
Made it to the carpark and shelter but there was a hunter setting up his pack etc… right on GZ. So I took a big rest here and waited patiently before making the find

Found on Deuces Wild - 2's Day. Heading to Blenheim for a cache on my D/T chart. Doing some caches along the way. TFTC
A quick easy find with the precise hint. Although the temperature wasn't especially low, the location lived up to its name, and it was quite cold. TFTC
Quick rest stop at the beginning of our whistle stop trip of the area. Glad we decided to stretch our legs after a quick retrieval! A stunning start to the weekend, thanks for making us stop here! TFTC
Quick stop turned into an hours hike, what an amazing spot, highly recommend the swing bridge
Up fresh this morning and with some time in hand before I needed to leave Hamner to get to the St James trailhead, I had ample opportunity to take in some more caching.
Time for a stop here before wandering further down the track to look for the other caches thereabouts.
I was pleased I stopped here when I did as the area was far busier when I returned 45 minutes later.
A nice quick find, thanks GH6710

Quick find here. The weather packed in here so we decided not to venture further in, so just got this one near the Carpark. Plenty of cars here, but no people. All good, TFTC GH6710.
Driving home to the top of the south after spending almost a week in Christchurch. We decided to get some caches on the trip home as we had time up our sleeves, and our caching finds in Christchurch were a bit skinny. So we just looked at ones on our side of the road going north, and that did not require too much effort getting off the main drag. Good fun. Thanks all.

An easy find with Campmotherandken today as we drive down the road on a little caching trip. TFTC
Found this during a spring snowfall.
I've never been snowed on while geocaching before.
Great spot for a hide.

On a road trip to Reefton with busy paws, lyttteltonwitch and Geomum007 we are signing logs as Hawks Harem. No bus here today. Thanks for the cache GH6710
Visiting the South Island as the grown up kids are on Uni holidays. Heading up to Nelson today collecting some caches on the way. Wonderful sunny day although cold and frosty to start with. This looks like the start of some great tramping although we only made it to the river and back. About 1km. Would love to return when it’s warmer and head up to a hut. Thanks for bringing us here.
Correcting a Tb wrongfully dropped. Logged out wrong one. This is the rabbit.
New Zealand we are back again.
Hoping to find some caches at secret or interesting locations we are with the motorhome on the road.
On the way to Hanmer Springs we stopped shortly for this cache. Easy found
Thanks to GH6710 for hiding and maintaining.
Best regards

As we were driving up to Windy Point we were talking about the 2 goes we had at the cache near the swing bridge - so decided to stop and grab the other two that were here - Stretch0 found this while I played look out - true to its name it is windy here today lol - log signed - thanks for the cache
We had been to this area before and had trouble finding the cache further in. This one posed no problems enough cars around to hide me as i grabbed and Niteowlnz playing watchman. TFTC
This was a nice and easy find today, carpark entirely empty.
I have started many adventures from here, but was very disturbed to see many piles of broken car window glass in such a small area.
Sadly it is now foolish to leave your car here overnight as some lowlife will almost certainly wreck it.
Cheers and thanks for placing a cache here, at least the morons haven't found that.

It was a bit windy around here but not too much
Cache was an easy find even in the dark. And, although quite a few cars around, there were no muggles in the vicinity. Probably all went off to look for the rare kiwis around these parts?

Easy find on the way from Reefton to Hanmer Springs. We had to wait for muggles to drive from the carpark. This took longer than finding this cache. Thanks.

This year, for Easter, we decided to be hard core. (As usual). We decided that we were going to do an almost 80KM, 5 day, 4 night, section of the Te Araroa... with our 18 month old daughter!
It was a tough, but so worth the effort 5 days. The weather mainly played nice, except for day 2!
This cache we found on day 5. The final day!!! We were pretty stoked to be on the home stretch now - and I was soooooo craving a pizza!
And far out I felt broken & knackered... And man was I shocked to see the terrain rating!! I thought to myself... I haven't even seen civilisation in 5 days, and I get a T2.5 cache?!!!!! Lol.
Luckily the cache was a quick find. Beautiful view over the very brown river. But we didn't stick around, as baby was sleeping, so decided to make the most of walking time.
TFTC!!

Day 1 of our Easter raid East and were finally out collecting some points for the Planetary Pursuit.

I was cruising along heading north when I saw this one pop up on my GPS so I thought I'd go check it out. I made a quick find and took advantage of the shelter from the rain and completed the logbook duties. Thanks GH6710.
This was nearly as far as we were going to come away from Hanmer after leaving Livi and her friend in the village to go horse trekking, etc. Pulled in the car park with three caches on the radar to be found. No problems with the hide, nor the find and all was good. Another of GH's 'away from Marlborough' ccahes ticked off.

Heading out for a few look-see caches away from Hanmer and a dirty (and dry) half dozen was a good haul. All found easily and replaced the same.
Our first full day in Hanmer for this weekends visit and a day of mixed weather. The forecast initially had been indicating rain all day, each day of the visit so alternative (indoors) things were planned. The reality though was somewhat different. The weather, upon waking., was an awesome cool and slightly misty start with a chill in the air and no breeze. The morning was sunny and awesome, the afternoon brought a few spots of rain and the later afternoon welcomed the rain in, and it never left! At the time of logging it has been raining really heavily for a few hours now! Yuck.

We are on a holiday to Karamea. We are heading there via Arthur's Pass. This was a great place to stop to stretch our legs and have morning tea, while heading back to Christchurch.

Found with StreetWalker on our week long post Christmas trip to Reefton and the West Coast. Great to travel in some cooler temperatures after the heat of this past month. Not too busy on the roads either, thanks to the newly re-opened SH1 north of Kaikoura.
There was a caravan and a few tents near the shelter, but luckily we were hidden from view as we searched - or should I say as SW searched as he found the cache just as I got to GZ. Not too windy today. TFTC.

This cache was found on my great journey by campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. All good at GZ. Nice and plesant park and grab. TFTC
We came down here to have our lunch and find a cache or two. There were people camped near the bus shelter but they weren't interested in us.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Had no information on this one as I hadn't loaded it before I list service. Had to think like a cache owner.......where would I have hidden it. No problemo! Had a nice new log sheet. So l wrote the name of the cache on it and signed it. Tftc
Found likely spot but no cache. Grass weedeaten near here may be caused to go missing.
