Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 22 - Erldunda - Yulara, Northern Territory (250 km)Austrlie je zatm ped mm zatracenm zachrnna ! Velk brmbolec alias kopec Uluru nebo Ayers Rock ji zachrnil. Zatm ! I mrn kopeek udl stran mnoho. Rzn domky v zahrad, restaurace, bazny, obchody atd. Zajmav obrazy a vtvory aboriginskch umlc. Pak u jsem dobhla dom a udlala si odpoledn rest. My road trip continues on the Lasseter Hwy to Yulara. The Desert Oaks Resort in Erldunda was tragic so I am glad to be out. Today I drived only 250 km to Yulara and here the resort is really a resort so I can enjoy the next 3 nights and 2 days in peace. I'm really looking forward to walking in the national parks and the famous rock Uluru. There aren't many caches here, but I'm sure I'll hunt some just like today. Thanks for all caches I visited and greetings from Czech republic.

Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case Alicecaching, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.

Found by The Empire + HThe journey to Kings Canyon was a great drive. The vastness of the Red Centre stretched before us, and the distant outlines of rocky formations hinted at the geological marvels that awaited. The road winds through arid landscapes, where the colors of the earth seemed to shift with the changing light, creating a painter's palette of reds, oranges, and browns. Picking up a few caches that we left along the way. Thanks for the cache Alicecaching.- M@empiregeocaching

Unbelievably not surprised again
We called into sign this logbook today but noticed when it was published!
Thought….mmm…we’ve been here before
Sure enough, we looked through the early logs written in the first log book and bingo - there’s our name from when we signed the book in 2017, that was on our way to the Red Centre Geocaching Event at Alice Springs!!
Our name is on the book in the photo
Thanks for the stopover

Day 29 of our greynomad trip up north and after a the JLWEvents, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, we are attempting to escape the southern weather that has been wet and windy. Now we must have received too much of something at Maralinga because I've forgotten how to count and lost 3 days of our tour, but I'm back on track now.

This was a quick find on the way to Uluru today, and it is finally good to have some sunshine, even though it is still cool. Container all cracked but log book dry. Added a small sistema inside cache container with log book in to save from future rain.

Found during three weeks away with e.gregory1 on a trip along WA's Great Central Road and a caching circuit of the WA Goldfields. We travelled North on the Stuart Highway and out to Kings Canyon to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. From there we headed in a south-westerly direction along the Great Central Road with a number of detours along the way, including Surveyor Generals Corner and Empress Spring. Then it was down to Laverton and Leonora before turning South to Menzies and Kalgoorlie. A few days were spent on a circuit back up to Lake Carey and around to Queen Victoria Spring before returning to Kalgoorlie, then out to Coolgardie, Kambalda and Norseman, and heading for home along the Eyre Highway. Thanks for the cache Alicecaching!

08-Jun-23
Found on another enjoyable trip with FeatherWaite over 3-weeks through South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This time the plan was to head up to Kings Canyon, across to the WA border via Uluru and Kata-Tjuta, then down the Great Central Road, with a few side-trips along the way before eventually getting to the Goldfields and then home via Queen Victoria Springs and the Eyre Highway.

We had some mixed weather to start, with a few overnight showers initially, but mostly warm and sunny days. The nights were often cold though! days.

Thanks Alicecaching for the cache.

Found quickly

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta.

**Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.
I wish you a lot of fun and great adventures while searching for the next geocache!**

Thanks for the cache!

Nice quick stop in an area not so clogged up up with people. After spending so much time in areas where we didn’t see more than a couple cars a day the team is surprised by how much traffic is down this way. EvilQueen came this was after Queens Birthday 17 years ago and there was hardly anyone around. “The Rock” is certainly bringing more people this way than ever before! TFTC

Well this isn't my first journey to the rock, but the last time was just over 30 years ago. cache fine but added log sheet. quick find.

Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

11-Apr-22
Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs Smile
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to Alicecaching from mogni Smile
