On our way TEMBO! and I visited some of the Geosaurus caches and signed the logbook. The puzzles are solved at home. Thanks to Orange Crew for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
Well, with this cache we probably "killed" the last dinosaur on our holiday. *Filser1* and I had a lot of fun travelling alone in this forest.T4TC
Out with Fng-affl, and lizzysparkle, chasing smiles and Dinosaurs, Thanks Orange Crew, all is in good condition here
Set out a month or so ago to go and visit each cache in the Geo Art Series – Geosaurus. Been working on these for a time and it is time to do some cache maintenance for Orange Crew and collect those that I had not previously made in to a smile.
Wandered off in to the bush and had a look. Ah, there is a likely spot.
Okay, retrieved, signed ,and returned to the hiding sot for the next adventurer!
Thanks for placing this cache.

In the recent weeks, we spent couple of days in the Dayboro area to find some of the solved puzzles from different geoarts. The Geosaurus series was part of it.
We found this cache and signed the log.

A busy weekend in Dayboro, lots of people out and about.
Found with FlutterbySquishy (KFCD) who joined me finding the Geosaurus geoart.
I am on a mission to get better at solving mystery puzzles.
Since two months the Dayboro geoarts were on my list to get solved. Some were easy, some were hard and help was needed. I guess this is the way of getting better at it.

Staying in Dayboro for a while. Theres definitely no being bored with so many caches in the area.. A beautiful winters day. Thankfully today most caches were found fairly quickly although there is still alot of vegetation around. 36/39 attempts today.

Nice quick find while caching in the area thanks for the cache nice location.
Out and about in the hills around Dayboro for a quiet Sunday morning's caching, picking up stray dinosaurs and climbing mountains [];). Parked off the road and headed into the bush. With many options for a hiding place at the GZ, a bit of a search was needed before the cache was found . TNLNSL TFTC
Today my husband and i decided to take a country drive and find a few caches, all up 11 for today. My geo work friend and i knew what to do with this puzzle but it still took a long time to get the right numbers. We enjoyed the drive around this area, some beautiful houses on some big properties. This was our sixth find for today and at GZ i looked at the hint and it was the last one i looked at. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Another visit to this great area that we love caching in - such smashing scenery. We managed to solve some of these puzzles ourselves but others we needed a great big hint!! Managed to find a few places which match the hint before discovering the correct one. TFTC Orange Crew
We have all the puzzles solved with some help with a few of the tricky ones and are having a lovely few days in the area finding the caches which are easier to find than some of the puzzles were to solve. I had an idea with the puzzle which gave me the coords. Log signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks Orange Crew for the series.
A lovely big space to park here, even though much of it is taken up by someone who won’t be driving away any time soon. Just a short way in to GZ where the cache was found nice and promptly. All good here. TFTC Orange Crew
A short search here soon found the cache which was in good condition. Very quiet here with just the sound of the birds accompanying our find. TFTC
When you see a car as burned out as the one near GZ, you have to wonder how on earth something gets destroyed so thoroughly. It’s quite sad. We headed in towards the geocache and looked in a couple of locations as none of our GPSrs wanted to settle down, and it was in about the third spot that we found the geocache in good condition.

We like a puzzle that makes sense straight away and we knew exactly what to do with this one.
Today we found the cache. Where we parked had a lot of rubbish lying around so we picked up a bagful before making our way to GZ. Cache was a quick find.

Today, after spending the morning performing some house unpacking, I decided to utilise the nice weather and return to Dayboro to find a few more geocaches that I had missed during the Easter Mega weekend that had such poor weather. Subsequently, a few of the series visited included the *We️Geo*, *Pacman*, and *Geosaurus*. A few other interesting puzzles and tree fishing geocaches were also visited, before I ran out of time and needed to return home. A much more nicer and enjoyable area when it isn't raining cats and dogs!
I didn't have any issues within finding this cache today, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Orange Crew for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Eskies5, kestal and I were off on another adventure in the area and this was one of the caches found today. We had fun solving the puzzles and a great time finding them. Thanks for the fun both with the puzzles and the finding of the caches, Orange Crew!
Eskies5, Caro and myself were on our way home now, we took the long way via a few caches including some that had been sitting on the solved pile for quiet some time. Ticking off the Geosaurus was one of the top priorities and were happy to have mostly straightforward finds on all of these today. If the log was small we signed our named as ECK. TFTC and all the puzzling Orange Crew
An overnight geocaching adventure with Caro and Kestal to primarily pick up the remaining unfound, long-time solved Geosaurus puzzles. Logs generally signed E.C.K. to save time and space. Apologies for the generic logs. TFTC Orange Crew.
Down to Dayboro from Cairns to attend the Mega event. 11 April 2021 2:01 pm Tyfc Orange Crew 1934
TFTC. We had spent a lot of time in the previous period of time solving puzzles in preparation for out time at the Dayboro Mega. We spent the day with good friends muff1 collecting solved puzzles and other caches as we passed by. A great day doing some free fishing and cache finding. 46 in total for the day. I think we managed to finalise the Geosaurus series in the process
We made the decision to spend another week at the Dayboro showgrounds to give ourselves the opportunity to find more of the many caches that have been placed in the area. Finally the rain has nearly become non existent and bar for one short heavy burst it has been a rain free day. The area is still showing signs of all the rain we have had recently with the creek flowing fast and in places the roads are covered. We found all of the caches that we attempted today but one. SL TFTC
We guessed what was needed to solve this one nice and quickly. Pleased that the cache was also found quickly as it is rather wet. Thanks for the cache and the puzzle.

Dayboro trip. Day 10. Day two of the Mega weekend. I again joined Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss for a full day of caching after a bit of time spent at mega HQ for catch up and learning. It was another wet day, but not as bad as it could have been. We mostly visited solved puzzles in the nearby Geo-art, but also did the other caches that we passed along the way. The day ended up in another remote part of the area, that meant a difficult wet drive home along narrow maintainous roads. All in all another fun day with great company.

24,220. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes, Smittengranny and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!
With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 5. An early and still wet start today with an aim of caching our way through finishing some of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way. This was the next stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks CacheQLD and all the other Cache owners !! Please forgive the generic logs.

After a slow start due to the rain, we teamed up with nibletricecakes, GLISS!, Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing logs as MiNiFiGAS!) to tackle the balance of We <3 Geo and Geosaurus, as well as Agatha Christie and part of the Coat of Arms Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Then ended the day with a great catch-up at the Tropi-Cal Party.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Fast find. Signed today as MINIFIGAS! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy_1965, Albida33 and Smittengranny to tackle some counties, trails, oldies and interesting caches. It was another very wet day making some of the driving a little tricky, but we still managed some awesome caching. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize. We had a truly awesome day!
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. So wonderful to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

Mega Day! It is wet with constant passing showers, so wet feet is the order of the afternoon.
We (hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and myself) commenced our geocaching adventures after lunch at the Lions Park Multi, completing it at 1.30pm, and finished some 28 caches later at #1 A Country Drive by 6.31pm, in time to get back to Mega for the Trivia night.
Most of our target caches were to complete Orange Crew's Geosaurus series, giving me the satisfaction of now completing all the geoart in the Dayboro region of the Morton Bay LGA.
The second target was the Tree Fishing caches.
Overall the roads were sealed, but one was a bit unsealed road was a bit messy on the uphill section.
Fortunately, most of the time we managed to avoid the heavy showers.

Today we were out and about around the Dayboro on a pre mega caching run with Gunnie69 and NurseyJulie, who were both getting some numbers for some milestone achievement at the mega. The forecast was for some rain, but in the most part it kept away. The plan was to hunt down some Geosauruses, maybe the odd pacman running loose, or even a horse or two galloping around the countryside. And of course find the odd bit of geo love along those quaint country roads.
Thanks Orange Crew for the cache, the hunt and the smiley today! [D]

#9 out with Peppa and Giraffe 18 for the day. Peppa did the solving Giraffe and I helped with the finding. Thanks for the cache
Well we have hit the country and Peppa has his list sorted!! Quick trek off the road and found. Out with PirateLinda and Peppa.
The geogroup and I planned a day out... Dayboro was selected as our target area... Then I hatched a plan to complete the Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge... So I created my first ever list, and using the app's new abilities was able to see it nice and easily on the map...
My list originally had 29 caches, but I thought the margin of error to small so I extended it along the route that we would take and increased the list to 37... Much better odds.... And that would enable us to achieve a milestone for one of the group too...
So with PirateLinda at the helm, Giraffe18 up front, 2ManyTrailers left behind at work(that was NOT part of the plan) and me navigating from the backseat we set off from the other side of the river...
Out along a country road, with PirateLinda channeling some long lost rally driver... We found an appropriate place to stop and came back to find the cache... we me saying "something large ran into that hole in there.... I'm sure of it"... I don't think my buddies took me at all seriously... but it was large I tell you... and it ran into that hole... you'll see the hole I mean when you get here... tftc... I like a puzzle I can nut out myself... and there are certainly plenty of Geosaurus I can't....

Cruising around the general Dayboro area today, finishing up most of the Geosaurus geoart. Only one to go now! I collected a few other traditional caches along the way. The views are just stunning and it was incredibly peaceful. I stayed away from the northbound highway, but crossed over into North Harbour (wow, what a change!) and picked up a few over there before heading home. All up a great day out and about. Home now in time for some test cricket and a midday snooze.

WOW! What an Epic day.
Several months ago (around March), I discussed with geonayfee how great it would be to complete the unique difficulty terrain challenge and also complete a personal challenge for ourselves of 100 local caches in a day, our previous best was 50 plus.
So with a lot of planning and weeks of solving puzzles we had an area in mind (Dayboro) and a plan was coming together. Oh this is not going to work unless we get some extra help, so I asked Willis007 and Team Tyrrell if they would be interested in our plan and would they like to be part of it. They both agreed and all was looking good until Team Tyrrell got called away for work. A discussion was had and we decided to still go ahead with the day, it just means a little extra work and an earlier start.
The plan was to complete, it was the three Geoart series and a few trads along the way as we passed them. We meet on the roadside outside Dayboro and proceeded to start with a few of the pacman series before heading west to complete the newly placed paddle caches (thank you), from there it was basically complete a section and get whatever, making sure we did not have to back track too much. There was a lot of driving and running to caches, the only thing that slowed us down was the time spent looking for ambiguous caches and hints that didn’t match the cache placement, but with multiple eyes looking it did help in finding the caches.
All in all it was a fantastic day, great team work and a lot of checking maps with some fun and laughs along the way. A big thank you to all the CO’s of the caches we visited, most of the caches were in good order, while I don’t remember all the caches, some did stand out, of those I have added a footnote below of the notes I took on the day, again thank you.

Out with Chamad and GeoNayfee today to conquer Dayboro, picking up a combination of Geoarts, traditionals and a couple of mystery caches.
A great day all round - beautiful weather, co-operative caches and good company. My tally today is 90 finds, amongst this is my 2000th cache.
Apologies for the generic logs. I do sincerely appreciate the work involved with putting a geoart together, placing and maintaining the caches. These puzzles were a lot of fun to solve … most I was able to do myself, a couple I needed a nudge from the CO - thank you
Thanks Orange Crew for the cache - all is well with it.

Chamad and myself have always talked about getting 100 caches in a day and today was the day to get it done. (I think) Our plan for the day was to complete all the GeoArt series and to grab any other caches that had popped up since our last visit and potentially complete the Unique Difficulty and Terrain Challenge (Will need to go through everything to see if we qualified)
Chamad, Willis007 and myself started our day extremely early at around 6am with a quick paddle, from there we made our way all over Dayboro and the surrounding area collecting all the caches for all the GeoArt series and a few trads here and there in between.
Thank you for placing all the caches at these locations, we thoroughly enjoyed our time out here exploring the area.

We've been planning for awhile to drive to Dayboro to collect the GeoArts. Rain or shine today was the day to find Geosaurus. Clever puzzles were solved with lots of help from lots of PAFs.
TFTC Orange Crew. Enjoyed the trip, fun puzzle and cache.

On a day trip up to this beautiful green countryside with EatSleepCacheRepeat and E_Smiley to do this series and a few random smilies along the way.
This certainly was a great fun filled adventure and happy to say no dnf's today although we did spend more time than we should have on some but perseverance paid off for us. Overall, great puzzles, caches, teamwork, energy & skill made this a great series to finally get up here to complete, well done CO.

It was a beautiful day, and I had a fantastic time out caching with E_Smiley & Snickersallan
We completed the geosaurus, which was fantastic! Cloud cover had us going in circles a few times We grabbed some trads and an earth cache along the way too There was climbing up, climbing down, and lots of slipping too! The rain stayed away most of the day but the beautiful rainbow was worth the wet dropped a few fav along this trail for some very well made puzzles, and some creative caches! Thanks for the fun

After setting up camp at the Dayboro showgrounds for a few days we are having a wonderful time meandering around this beautiful area. A wonderful variety of hides and we love the creative ones. Thankyou Orange Crew for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Hi there Orange Crew.
Today's venture had us heading out from our camp at Dayboro Showground to spend another afternoon caching with Liz & Bruce. All up we found 16 caches & DNF'd 1 in this cache run.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

A nice stash of stored away solved puzzles gave The Bromance an excuse for a day out, despite the pretty heavy rain this morning. Having sat on the solutions for quite a while now it was about time I finally turned these into a smiley. TFTC
The rain today, whilst very welcome, literally dowsed our plans for a rock hop up a creek near Mt Barney. However, with a leave pass secured for the day, I was still keen to spend the day caching and coerced Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah to spend the day grabbing various geo-art puzzles as well as a few others in between.
Most logbooks were signed "Bromance" to save space. Many thanks, Orange Crew

Out with the Bromance for another puzzle collection day. Plans t attack a hike were squashed due to the inclement nature of the weather, so some park and Grabs were on the menu. We met early at the Dayboro Bakery, and after a fill of pastry we headed off into the drizzle.
We collected any number of Dinosaur, Hearts and independent puzzles, traditional's and multi's that cam across our path. I managed to grab a few previous DNF's (you know who you are!!), which have been plaguing me for some time.
As always a day with the lads is filled with laughter, innuendo, very bad dad jokes, giggling at the stupidity of our actions, and a rousing good bolloking at each others expenses. A pleasure as always.
My thanks to the GeoArt tragic who is a matre to the game, and all the other CO's of caches we found. We will be back one day to clean up the rest.

A muggle friend wanted to see what this caching thing is like, so I brought him along to help find some of these allusive Geosauruses,
and of course my Geodog Scruffy had to come as well ...
This puzzle should have been easy but I made a real nightmare of it.
Wasn't sure what to do, and even after a nudge, totally goofed it
til a friend corrected my ciphering method .. and a green tick appeared.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Having a few days around Dayboro collecting the geoart, other puzzles and some traditional caches as well. Seeing lots of wonderful countryside and meeting some locals as we venture around the rural roads. Thanks to all the COs who have placed caches in the Dayboro area and for sharing this beautiful place with us. Team JAD was signed on the logs for: joojoo57, Aussie Liahona and DiamonJs.
Out and about with Aussie Liahona and joojoo57 for a few days of collecting the local art works. I am sorry for the generic logs but I do appreciate the work the CO's have put in to the work and more love some of the scenery we have been taken to. TFTC
Many thanks Orange Crew for an interesting set of challenges. First of all the challenge of solving the puzzles and then the challenge of locating the hides. All logs were signed Team JAD today being the initials of the three of us. Many thanks!
What a great geoart this is! So many different puzzles I had never seen before together a huge variety of hides. Very well done, Orange Crew. It took us 6 hours to collect all the geosauruses plus a few stray hearts and a traditional at a lovely picnic spot.
I can well remember the day this series was published. The geobeast was booked in at the mechanic and I wanted to spend the day studying in the library. Then I saw all those notifications... The plan was still to go to the library but with a slight shift in focus.
After dropping the kids at school, leaving the vehicle at the mechanic I waited eagerly for the library to open and solve those puzzles. It was bucketing down at that time and I got wet under the roof before the entrance so that I didn't want to get my laptop out there. Then I had just settled down and booted the computer when the school rang to pick up the kids as they had decided to close it for the day and the next. NOOOO!!! I can't remember if I got any puzzles solved at all that day... We managed to solve bout 75% rather quickly and dashed through the rest yesterday apart from two: one because of the lack of suitable electronic devices and one because lack of eyesight.
Our maps showed a maintenance track near GZ but this it not usable for the public.

Today was grooming day so whilst geopuppy was getting gorgeous , my first stop was here in the wilds of Orange Crew country.
My aim was to find a few more geosauruses
My aim was to find a few more geosauruses
Back along this road picking up some caches, wishing the gz would settle and reception was better, but loving the adventure and the wildlife tftc
I was nearby finding another cache and on my way out I noticed that this cache had been solved so I decided to grab it as well.
It only took a brief search before the cache was in hand.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.
