Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip. Of course there were many other puzzles solved as well which filled in the 24th. The 25th was the Smurfs and Fresh Breath. 26th was Rattle and Horses. We certainly made a great dent in my solved puzzle list but I'll still have enough for another trip.

This one I have two solved dates for: August 2021 and September 2021. It looks like I had an unfinished bit in a lighter colour which didn't affect the solution. I was very glad to get another smile in this series. Thanks for introducing me to these puzzles Smile

Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei yesterday, so today was our first full day to get into it.

Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list. Thankfully the weather looked like it was going to play ball today, as caching in the rain is always just that bit harder.

After trying one of the slitherlink puzzles on Lis's insistence, I was hooked and spent considerable time during lockdowns solving the remainder. Most were not too bad, but others presented quite a challenge.

The cache here was a bit of a challenge too, but Lis finally found it in a hint location that was 13 m away from indicated GZ. Might have been our phones .. ? TFTC

A little hunting required to locate this one. Eventually found it. TFTC

We came to look for this cache after a visit to the dentist on 18/4/2021. Apparently, it was there all along and this time we found the cache straight away. Great puzzle and a favourite for the puzzle and the search.

JD Scout and I went for a 21km return bike ride, mainly on cycle paths. We were using our pedal assist bikes which were handy considering the strong head winds in parts of it. Thanks for hiding this cache StreetWalkerNZ I appreciate it.

I got about half way through the puzzle, and got a bit stuck. This tiling seems to need thinking in quite a different way. Then I realised there might be another way, and there was! A quick bike ride from work took me right there. Not sure what the previous log was about - it didn't seem that visible from the house, although I got muggled by a workmate walking past on the other side! Thanks.

22-Apr-21
Cache checked; still in place!

18-Apr-21
M solved this puzzle quite a while ago. He really got into solving all the Slitherlink puzzles and today we are trying to find and log them. We were very uncomfortable being so close to a house where the occupants could have seen us very easily. We looked pretty well but wonder if it is still there as it hasn't been found for 18 months.

05-Oct-19
Yay, another Slitherlink signed off Smile Found the cache even before I had a chance to check what the hint was. TFTC, really enjoying solving these puzzles!

Having spent hours and hours solving slitherlinks, we decided today was the day to retrieve 7 of them. With floret we spent quite some time fossicking around in the trees before spotting the correct one. Once you see it the hide is obvious, but you have to come at it from the right angle. TFTC!

04-May-19
New log in place.

24-Apr-19
Spotted the cache quickly. It has many slater friends! If I remember next time I'm passing I'll replace the log. It is very fragile and rips when signing as its damp. Another slitherlink down. Hooray! Thanks for the cache. (And puzzle)

Solved this puzzle a while ago, but just never got out to this area to make the find. It's been a couple of weeks since I'd found a cache for various reasons to felt the need to head out during lunch today. No problems locating the cache today. Thanks for the puzzle, and cache.

Slithered my way through a few of these before coming to town. This was nearest to where I am staying.

This series has kept me entertained over winter. Lovely spring day to find it. Tftc

18-Sep-18
After meeting the owner at the September event, it was time to collect some of the solved slitherlinks. At the moment solving them is even more fun than signing the log book Smile
As with all of them, cache and description are very clear and thus Schlotte and I thought we would have no problem. Here we did need some time to search and almost gave up when we saw that the mentioned hiding place was partly covered by cut grass that has been thrown into the bushes. Then it was obvious.

This has been sitting in the solved but not found column for long enough, happened to be in the area tonight so made the grab. Nice and simple, you must be quite a bit shorter than me! Cheers

Visiting Chch from Nelson on business with time to collect some puzzle caches. I solved this puzzle series last year with some certainly very challenging. Nice to be able to complete the paper work on this one.

29-Nov-17
Have been working away on these puzzles for a long time now and placing them in a list when finished. Decided to grab a few in the area after a site meeting nearby. Thanks for the effort that goes into creating these puzzles and placing and maintaining the cache.

More after work cache finding. Making the most of the fact that I've had to be starting work a little earlier since I can no longer run to work in the mornings & need to be dropped off instead, but daughters daycare still finishes at the same time, so noone even notices that mum & I actually have about half an hour each day to 'detour' on the way home lol!

This one had been on my list to find for quite a while but I'd somehow after ages still never got round to it... so today decided to knock off a few.

The area was kinda fenced off... but not really... so we just slipped under the wire... I think they wanted the grass to grow... lol!

TFTC!! Smile

Another nice adventure with daughter 'on the way' home! TFTC!!

Headed out on a Monday Mad Mission with TG. I needed to polish off a few puzzles and trads and TG had already found all of the ones tonight, so I had personal chauffer tonight. We were muggled about five times tonight. We had a laugh after we go muggled while under a tree in a park. TG and I have found a few thousand caches together and that must have been the first time we got muggled like that. I wanted to get my numbers as close to 5000 tonight so I was left with a milestone of my chosing. We got there I ended up getting 4999. The caches were grand and puzzles too. Thanks for the hard work.

Thanks for the cache StreetWalkerNZ.

A very damp day to be caching but I never claimed to be sane Wink
Initially walked past and continued to the next cache as I was being followed by muggles. On the way back all was clear so I started the hunt. It turns out I was too quick to head under cover as my phone GPS didn't really settle very well, but once I looked from the right angle it was a quick find.
TFTC Cool

Elected to knocknoffbanfew caches. Attacking this from the right direction helped with the find. The puzzle on the other hand was an extreme challange but got there in the end and also took a nurophen

Solved this puzzle a wee while ago (if I remember rightly, it took a couple of attempts before I had an error free version) but left the find for a calendar day.
Checked out the hide when I was in the area earlier in the week, so it would be a quick find en route to work. A bit muggly with dog walkers, people heading to work / study etc but think I was discrete enough heading to GZ. Luckily most people were heading in a direction which meant I was invisible to them while I was doing the paperwork. TFTC.

All quiet at GZ, cache quickly found. Cheers.

Another quiet weekend around town.

Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Not too many students about when I arrived at GZ. I didn't have to search for long because the cache was a soon spotted.
Thanks for another Slitherlink puzzle and TFTC.

09-Mar-17
We really enjoy solving Slitherlink puzzles by hand, so finding these caches was top of our to do list in Christchurch. This one was published just afew days before we left on our South Island trip. Solved fairly quickly and added to the "must do" list.
Dropped by GZ this evening and soon spotted the likely hiding spot. Thanks.

04-Mar-17
Solved at publication. Out and about in the early hours of the morning so figured that I'd pop past while all was 'quiet'......not quite. A few students happy to be back singing lustily as a backdrop to the search...thankfully a quick find and sign so that i could move along out of the sing zone...lol. Another fun puzzle in the slitherlink theme. Cheers.

{*FTF*} [12:16] This puzzle was published not long after I went to sleep this morning after night shift. So when I woke up late morning I was already behind the eight ball! Good thing I like these puzzles! About half an hour and it was solved - not the hardest I've seen. Quick trip across town, and I was pleased to open up a blank log. I was getting worried, the day before the end of the month and I still hadn't got a FTF to keep my FTF/month streak alive - just scraped through... Thanks for another great puzzle Big Grin.
