Thanks JABs for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. Your Traditional cache, Crossing time, was just what I needed to get me out of the house and exercising. This is my find #2067 at 14:50 on 6/10/2024. FTF: Found with: Luca Weather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Today we headed out to try and complete as best we could the Devil series as well as collect other trads nearby. The day weather wise was similar to yesterday, grey, cold and plenty of mizzle. By late afternoon the skies did clear a bit which made it more pleasant. I still ended up filthy again, covered in mud, glorious!!We did have quite a lot of dnf but you get that when caches havent been found in general for over a year, Im sure we probably just missed some too. Happy with the day out my cut off time was 4.30pm so we could avoid hoppy carnage and we finished at 4.37pm so that was good.Nice picnic again at Tunnack oval. Thanks to all the CO and especially to Budgietas for all the caches and ongoing maintenance it is greatly appreciated. This was the first one of the day after a dnf down the road. Quick find despite all the rubbish dumped here. TFTC
A great day to be out caching with barely a cloud to be seen and zero wind.
Travelled down through the Lake Hwy to Bothwell then Kempton and over onto Colebrook before heading back home again via the Rhyndaston Rd then Stonor Rd back onto the Midlands Hwy.
This cache was soon found with all in top condition.
Many thanks for the cache JAB's.......thoroughly enjoyed...cheers ST.

How have we not done this cache already?! We've travelled this route several times before but for some reason never stopped to find it. TFTC!

We had managed to tag along for a short holiday with muggle brother who had a couple of commitments in Tasmania, (from Vic) and after we also managed some time to explore, so we enjoyed a drive through this area, TFTC and the fun
Quick easy find, some nice old buildings nearby. Log not signed since November 2021, so felt like a good find!
Phone didn't want to download info so compass was working and geonose ! Great place to hide and view down the valley TFTC
On a road trip up north. Great spot for a break (have stopped here before I was a cacher). Lots of crevices to choose from but GPS went straight to the spot. TFTC.
Out for a week in the hybrid camper and going to cambridge for the first couple of nights. So Mud Walls Rd here we are finding caches. Beaut little container for this one, and unlikely to be happened upon accidentally. Don't think I would be wanting to poke around here when the slithery things are active. Thanks for your hide JABs.
Cache is dry but log is full and needs replacing. we managed to find a little bit to sign
Caching in the area we found your cache along the way.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

30 years I have travelled this road commonly known as mud walls and today we finally got this geocache as we usually have a car that won't go into the ditch. Today we had our 4x4 and just rolled over it we recommend you enter from the tracks end.
Deer head close by and another dead animal further down.

Grabbed this one on the way home with UncleTom3. Always loved this stretch of road. TFTC - Log book is pretty full.
I had looked here briefly before but didn't spend long as the farmer was rounding up his sheep over the fence. This time I had the cache in hand in about 20 seconds. Log is full but managed to squeeze my name in. TNLN. TFTC.
Driven past many times but managed to stop this time. Log is full but I managed to get my find recorded on it.
I have driven past this cache hundreds of times. But have either had somewhere to be or a little friend in the car with us. Finally today we set of for a geocaching drive to tick off some of the devil series and this was our chance to log the cache. The logbook is full but found a little room to sign it
Suscoe was heading north today with our final goal being Devonport.
It was a clear day with loads of sunshine.
The temperature got to around 24 degrees as the day wore on but the breeze kept things pleasant.
We enjoyed our trip today and found a good range of caches and even got to chat with a local farmer along the way.
We have been amazed at the wonderful countryside that we have seen as we have travelled around Tassie, it has been a terrific two week visit.
Thanks to JABs for this hide.
All good here today.

Joining J+J on an impromptu trip to tick off some specific targets in Tassie, added a few bonus PnGs along the way. Dodged a few sharp plants for a quick find as the traffic whizzed on by.
Mizmaz and I are on a trip to Tassie to collect some smilies. This one was the 4th to boot.

Today we're heading north for an end-of-year getaway to Launceston. As always, we're picking up a few caches along the way. Unlike normal though, we've elected this time to head to the Midlands highway via Richmond and Mud Walls Rd since we're running out of caches to find along the main route.
This one turned out to be a pretty quick find, fortunately - with the remains of at least three deer merrily rotting away in the immediate vicinity we were keen to get moving on as soon as possible! Besides that though, not a bad spot for a cache: nice and secluded with a good parking spot!
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find!

out and about caching by myself and this was in the spotlight, easy find with clues. a nice area to pull of the road and melt into the surrounds as to not be seen by vehicles passing by and people in nearby houses, I wish all caches were this good TFTC TNLN. log dry
We decided to take a caching trip to a few locations we hadn't visited before. We picked this cache up along the way. Thanks for placing this cache.
On my way North for two days staying at Lovely Deloraine, i thought i'd make this my 1st find for the day.

Quick find.
All caches were signed as JLG98
Today JL Rockstar and myself headed south to complete the devil series. We decided that wasn’t enough and a new mission was for JL to hit 500 finds so we continued onto the gooses series at Sorell and then went in to complete the sugar loaf series! A total of 132 finds for the day.
Thanks for all the caches placed.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

got up reasonably early this morning to head down to do the devil puzzle series with gridge98 to try get myself to 500 finds.
Was a great day for a drive and to cache, there wasn’t much stopping us except pesky muggles and one snake on trail. Managed to finish the devil and 2 other trails to get to the 500 caches.
Thanks budgietas for the wonderful caches and other owners of caches we grabbed today.
(We wrote ‘JLG98’ in most logs, for the combined team of JLRockstar and Gridge98)

Find #4722
Visiting with the family from Melbourne we had brought the car over on the Spirit and based ourselves here for a couple of days to do a bit of caching. We stayed in the excellent historic log cabin at Fonthill Farm which was quite an experience. This was my main day to get out and do some caching and the weather held up for me (well the showers stayed away) in a fun day of 51 finds. I spent the morning on the TTAI series and after a break for lunch I was heading from Oatlands to Colebrook to try some of the Tassie devil series. This one was along the route so I though it worth stopping off. Took a bit longer than it should have but I found it in the end. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache JABs.

Camped at Oatlands. Out on another cold spring day to tackle the rest of the Devil series, (found 55 yesterday), worked out most of the puzzles a couple of weeks ago. Quick find . TFTC
Drove a long way to try make our trip South worthwhile today and this cache was a great chance too get out and stretch after the long trip
In Tassie for a few days with 6hinemoa2 for some fun caching in the Southern state. Missed the turn off to the 6 series so found a few bonus caches the long way round. Thanks JABs
Nice to have a place to pull over and start our search. It is so green around here. Found, signed and then moved on.

Beautiful day .... thanks

Thanks for this cache JABs. This was a little stop on the way home after an attach on the apple series in the company of EeePees. EeePees spotted the cache getting out of the car and so the log was soon signed and the cache returned to its hidey hole.
Hi JABs, thanks for the cache. I enjoy a roadside cache with a safe dedicated pull-off area for parking. Spotted the likely hide as I got out of the geo-mobile, so a nice quick find in great company, on the way home after a day out with Lil Rafa to complete the TTAI Apple series.

Cache found on a trip from Devonport through to sorrell. Great place to stop and stretch the legs and take in the scenery
Last cache for this 2 and a half day trip south. Think this one would have been easier to access if you were travelling south but we managed to get to the other side of the road and back again without incident.
This was a much simpler hide than I made it and a nice solid little container.
Thanks.

Myself and Goose of GooseandEgg had driven passed this cache before but Goose wanted to save it for one of his few remaining calendar days, but today was one of those days so i picked him up and drove out here from Hobart. At GZ we made a quick find before we headed off to find some GCA's 'on the way home' this involved covering 400km covering what we are starting to call our 'local area'

After a birthday morning tea for mum, Stainless-steel-rat picked me up and we headed out to find this cache. It was a perfect Autumn day so good to be out and about. We caught up on the weeks gossip, trading work stories and the like before settling back to enjoy the countryside.
As we drove through Colebrook I admired a church in the sunlight. Little did we know we'd be stopping here for a GCA history cache on the return journey.
We parked easily near GZ and let the GPS settle. With no problem following the trampled grass to the cache we had a quick find.
With it being such a nice day, we ended up down at Primrose Sands to do the Trig point on Carlton Bluff, an old stomping ground from my childhood holidays.

Pleased to see caches being placed in the Colebrook area - thanks for this one Jabs
We appreciated the placement of this cache as it enabled us to pull off the road safely to park the car. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks JABs for the cache which gave us a break as we headed north after visiting family today.
Traveling south to visit family and this one just happened to be on our track so an easy find on a path well traveled. TFTC
Out and about at Pontville and diverted across to Mud Walls Road to log this cache. A quick find. TFTC
