We took advantage of a trip to Columbus over Labor Day weekend to visit the Wood County bell. It is located in the recently-built annex to the County Court House. We arrived at dusk, and the building was of course closed. But, we got the required pictures with the bell through the window.

02-Sep-05
Licking County, OH
Located in the Lobby of the County Admin. Building at 20 South 2nd Street, Newark, OH. I stopped here last year to do the absentee voter thing and forgot all about the bell until this cache.
TFTC - kjgirl, inc. (#4)

20-Aug-05
Pike County, OH - in the new government center.
The building was closed when we arrived. Oh, No! What will we do? Lo and behold, the bell was in view in the lobby. Well, we decided to take a photo through the glass and one with the Big Bird in front of the building.
Thanks for the cache!

Montgomery County Bicentennial Bell found at Memorial Hall on East First Street in downtown Dayton. I saw the casting two years ago at Carillon Historical Park during the German Picnic, but this was the first time I actually saw the bell. I had to do a bit of research to find it, seems it sits forgotten on an old table in the lobby of Memorial Hall. By the way, Memorial Hall is an impressive building worth checking out.
