Day 13 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. Leisurely drives. Avoiding GC power trails. Randomly driving to various spots that take my fancy. And older caches on my target list, such as this. Camouflaged one, sure it is there. Cool find, TFTC Tigey Wigey & Piglet
As we were close by,and this being an older cache,we called in and soon were able to add our name. Nice quick find . Tftc
I can't believe that I've left visiting this Q100 Brisbane suburban geocache for so long, but it has never been a stop on the way to/past somewhere. However whilst in the vicinity and as we were preparing to make our way home, I was allowed to make this cache our final stop for the morning/day. I did misinterpret the clues at the posted coordinates and searched all around, and then expanded my search to anything with a metallic surface that was in view of the posted coordinates, looking for a plate of some sort on various lamp posts, and upon one of my loops, I found the clearly obvious clue.We then took a short drive to GZ, and I was already well-familiar with previous logs given my trouble finding the first metallic plate, and there was a recurring theme that the cache was well sneaky and camouflaged. I searched around GZ, just looking for anything that was a little out of place, and nearby to the brush turkey's mound, I spotted something that deserved greater attention. Sure enough, it was the awesomely camouflaged cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Tigey Wigey & Piglet for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 07/2002 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 100 oldest yet active geocaches.Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/[jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) stamp. ---------- This morning, [@jesswrigley](https://coord.info/PRNW59T), babies Cottontail and Mopsy, and I headed out early south to Underwood Park to jog/walk Underwood parkrun.... it was an essential **U** for my parkrun *Alphabeteer* challenge (for those playing at home). We visited the area and utilised [Ugo in Underwood - Parks and Recreation Series](https://coord.info/GC6C344) as a guide, and then headed to Cache Cache Caf in Rochedale for a mid-morning breakfast. A few last geocaches were visited in the area before returning home.
I did a complete circle before spotting what I needed. It took some close up examination at different angles to get the correct light to read the necessary information. With that now entered into the phone I was off to GZ. A very nice concealment offered up the cache. The log was signed and the cache was neatly returned as found. TFTC.
Another great find for Grub62. Quickly found after reading previous logs. Very well camouflaged. TFTC.
bunadoorian and I came here after an unsuccessful attempt at an old cache. I found the plague eventually and then we made our way to GZ. What great camo. TFTC and for bringing us here Tigey Wigey & Piglet.
I only had a little bit of time for caching today so I came down to find a few caches in the Kuruby area. The Waypoint was easy to find and still easy enough to read so I plugged in the numbers and headed off to find the final. At GZ I walked around for quite a while looking at a few different places without finding anything. I checked back through the logs and realised that I was looking for some clever camo so with that in mind I started searching again and soon found the well hidden cache. Turns out I had already looked at it before but didn't realise it was the cache. Great work TW&P!
Tftc slTook tbOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
After an early morning start at an event to meet some local cachers with alphag_25, we are gathering some older caches on our way back to Gold Coast. TFTC
Went in circles for a bit, but eventually tried lifting something up. TFTC
Wow, this is an old multi! And it's still in great condition! Thanks for keeping this one active all these years.
Working on completing a few challange caches at present and finding this cache helps with both my 366 Day and Jasmer challenges.WP1 is located 8 kilometers from work, so soon as my shift was completed, I headed straight out. Dressed in Hi-Viz, no one bats an eyelid at you when youre standing in the middle of a roundabout. Quickly retrieved the necessary information and was then off to the final.Arrived at the GZ and quickly identified the cache. Great use of camouflage and great ticking off another old Queensland cache from the list, plus plugging a gap in two of my challenges that Im working on. TFTmultiC. TNL 2 x TB. SL. This afternoon we are out and about solving multis and found this old cache in the area. Thanks for keeping this one in play. Great to add it to the list of finding old caches in Qld. TFTC
Out and about chasing older caches. Lots of GPS bounce, probably due to overcast skies. Had us walking around in circles for a bit, till I decided to read a few previous logs.Well that helped. Soon had a well camoed cache in hand.Log signed a replaced as found.TFTC
My Multi for the day was this only about 1km from our hosts place in Underwood. The first stage was difficult to read in the late afternoon light, but with the help of a camera we were able to decipher the information required. Then it was off to GZ for the great hide! I was with a previous finder who didnt recognise the cache in full sight from a few metres away, if you knew what you were looking at. A favourite point for a great hide! Thanks for the fun!
My plan for this morning was to find a few old caches in this area. I’ve had this one on my radar for a long time.
It didn’t take long to find the plate at the posted coordinates but it felt a bit weird walking in the garden.
I then drove to near gz. After a short walk, I saw a Turkey mound - oh, I hope the cache isn’t under that. I then spotted something and there was the well hidden cache. Coordinates were good and all good with the cache. Tftc

Out and about this morning to pick up a few south side caches on a beautiful sunny winters day in south east Queensland.
Found a safe place to park the car and made my way to ground zero to locate the cache. Didn’t take long before the cache was in hand and pen applied to the log. Returned the cache to its hiding place and trudged back to the car
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Catching up on logging my finds. This cache was a target during a day on the Southside chasing some older caches and one or two other specific hides to complete our fourth loop. This area was our old stomping ground so is very familiar, but I’d never been in this particular part before. Loved the clever camo at the final here. Great to add this one to our smiley collection.
The crunch of leaves and sound of birds. A perfect spot to sit and breathe. I love these oldies. This find helps with a souvenir and a challenge as well - nice. Thanks for the placement and smiley. A favourite for the features that make this an enduring cache.
I have decided to have May as Mad, Multi May to find 31 Multi's in the month of May for a challenge in Melbourne (GC5M69G). At GZ i soon spotted the metal tag and once at GZ i happily spotted the cache . Love the cache guardian Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
I’m on a Geo safari to try and get to 100 cache. I wanted to come out here because I have found them all at home on The Gold Coast
Also this is a lovely old one that I want to support.

Out and about today just to find this cache for a Challenge I want to claim, however at this time, I do not meet requirements. After gaining the required information, I was off to GZ. After looking around, here and there, I noticed something, and went towards it. Bingo, I found the cache. TFTC Giving a FP for this cache.
So after seeing a find (and report that the cache was exposed) and then a no find a few days later I nipped in on my way home from work to just have a look. Lo and behold the cache is there and in place (Good) but also the container that had gone missing a while ago was back in place. So I was a little perplexed as to what had gone on. Has somebody borrowed it and then felt bad and returned it or something else. I took the old container with me so only the newest one is there (I want to have a look at the logbook and see the comments)
Cheers,

A free day off work so have come to Brisbane to pick up some caches that have been on the list for a while.
I was kind of in the area so decided to finally tick this one off. I thought the plan was going to be thwarted when I arrived and saw council workers spraying the weeds. Thankfully after a few minutes the left and I went over and retrieved the numbers I needed.
A short drive to GZ where I found the cache completely out in the open. I signed the log and moved the cache closer to a tree and tried to cover it in sticks, but it’s still pretty exposed.

We are staying not too far away, and decided today to target a few of the older caches in the area.
After arriving at the initial waypoint, we collected the numbers which we spotted after a minute, and then decided to drive to GZ.
All good here, and a beautifully camouflaged hide, which was very close to a brush turkey nest.
Thanks Tigey Wigey & Piglet

Initially I put in the wrong number, but fortunately before beginning my walk from those coordinates I rechecked the numbers and saw my mistake. I was about 350 metres from the cache, but I had to drive 2.5kms to cover these 350 metres. Very bad street layout when this happens.
Once at the correct area for the cache, it was a quick find, as I spotted the cache on approach. Well made, neat hide, worthy of a favourite point. Cache and log are good. I left a pretty bracelet. I have inherited some jewellery and am leaving some in caches. TFTC Tigey Wigey & Piglet.

Found as I made my way back home to Adelaide after attending the Mega Event at Townsville over Easter.
This was a nice simple multi - just how I like them! It was a quick find at GZ, partly because the some of the natural cammo had come off the container. Everything was in excellent condition and I covered it up again.
Great to see this old cache being recently maintained - a credit to the owner.

Thanks so much for replacing this one, Tigey. I have been relying on it to complete my twelfth challenge. Great to have these oldies around in good condition.
I was really worried about finding this one after my troubles last time. But I simply walked up to it today. I saw something that showed promise and it turned out to be the hide. No problem!

I hope to deploy a replacement very very shortly. I have had to come up with a slightly new idea for how to hide this plus some other troubles. So I am sorry everyone for making you wait. I am keen to prevent this oldie going by the wayside.

Just been for a walk and this one appears to have been tidied. The area looks like work has been done to clear grass and weeds. I will make up a new container and redeploy shortly, possibly in a slightly different location or form.

I really wanted to get this one. It is a key ingredient in my Twelfth Challenge, being placed in July. The trouble started when the wife stayed in the car with the dog and I went hunting under time pressure.
The GZ according to the iphone landed on no distinguishable feature. I looked and I looked but no joy. I scrolled through the past logs and was dismayed that most people claim it is at least `10m away from GZ. So with the Iphone inaccuracy, that covers a circle of about 30m in diameter. I poked and prodded as long as time would allow, but unfortunately did not come up with the goods.
I will need to return for another attempt soon!

Having come to the southside to drop Junior DisSister at an activity today, I decided to stay a while longer and come and find some of the older caches that are here. I enjoyed my trundle through this estate. There are some quite unique houses amongst them. Wandered around a little at GZ with my arrow pointing here and there until my pokey stick struck the right sound. Surprised to find something of this size here still.TFTC Tigey Wigey & Piglet

Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!
This cache: another old multi sorted! Took a bit to find the cache at GZ, about 12m south of posted Coords for us.
Thanks Tigey Wigey & Piglet for the cache and the fun!

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Four:
The fourth day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Another 12+ hour day of caching, one of the highlights was finding nine Earthcaches, I am sure that is a daily record for me! Just crazy! A whole bunch of challenges, wherigos, virtuals, letterbox's and Australia's most Eastern cache were also good to grab. A very long but eventful day!
We started in Casino, NSW at 7am and finished up in Bray Park, QLD at 10pm completely buggered! Thanks to all the CO's
---
This Cache:
Noticed this 2002 multi, which sounded quite simple too, so added it to our list of "must-do" caches. Was very surprised by WP1! This area must have changed dramatically since this cache was hidden, lots of fancy houses and upmarket area! The WP coordinates were very quick to find and in amazing condition though!
We struggled to find the cache at GZ though, we must of searched close to 20 minutes. It was extremely well covered up, and the coordinates were slightly off. So thankful we got there in the end however for the rare hidden month....!
TFTC, great to see such a suburban cache kicking on after all this time

Well almost my 2nd DNF for the day but alas reading a couple of logs TGG was able to close in on it & we signed sealed & replaced it as found ...well hidden
Muggle65 and l somehow managed to make this harder than it should have been at GZ. We walked around and around in circles till we finally found it. And it was quite close to GZ. But it is now a smiley so all is well Love finding the oldies.
I’ve wanted to find this oldie for awhile... so I took advantage of some spare time to stop and hunt this cache down... I didn’t find WP1... and I felt pretty silly seeing as though everyone else spots it quickly... persistence did pay off... that marker isn’t going anywhere soon... onto GZ, I came at this the most advantageous way as I stumbled onto the cache ten metres out from GZ... I removed various broken plastic bags, added a snap lock bag for the log and tried to give the cache more camo, but I think the resident scrub Turkey may see to that...
Thanks Steve & Deb for the fun I had here...

Out for some caching fun with nikid1 & this was our main target of the day - a golden oldie & some unloved, what more could a girl want! Finding our way to GZ was easy, finding the cache was not... We found a number of firsts for me on this search including a dead snake & a half buried set of garden shears. After broadening our search I stumbled across the cache sitting out in the open about 10m from GZ, log was signed & replaced in a more appropriate place closer to GZ coords.

I’ve wanted to do this oldie for a long time. I was out here for a morning of caching with KerriMG so asked if we could this one. We found the info easy enough but it took a long time to find the cache. First we found a dead snake (nice and fresh with ants all over it) then some garden shears but no cache. KerriMG made the found with the cache just sitting out in the open. We covered it up and it was about 12m out on my phone’s gps.

Cache 6 of 20 today! I was on the southside of town, generally hunting QLD's oldest 100 or oldest 500 caches (with a few slipping into the list because they were so close, or filled in a DT hole).
After a very stressful week of work, it was good to expend some energy, push my lungs a bit harder, and suck in some fresh air. GZ is beautiful, as to be expected, and I really enjoyed the walk and solitude.
This is one of the oldest 100 caches and a cache I was really looking forward to. At WP1 I quickly gleaned the information required. It also made me realise how to solve a nemesis cache I have on my radar on the northside that I've been to four times - watch this space!
Cache and log are in great condition.
Dropping in a TB to continue its journey.

After a while i eventually spied the prize. Log signed, all retuned as found.
Now to walk all the way back to the car

The final cache for me today on this rather topsy turvy Sunday afternoon.
Initial plans were to be hiking Conondale National Park with Fangsoki, NyssaFlutterby and wombles and co, but when my car decided to have a health crisis of its own, we had to pull the pin on that and head home.
Well Fangsoki was having none of me feeling upset about the entire situation, and decided the best therapy was to collect his car and head over here to cross of another couple of the oldest caches for me.
While he turned the car around, I ran over to the coords to find the information I was after, then leapt back in the Canyonero and directed Fangsoki to our final destination of the caching day.
Managing to find a spot to park the car (having an off-roader may have helped a little here), we wandered over, and Fangsoki instantly remembered a particular feature here. Rounding the other side of said feature, the cache made its presence known, and I soon had my name placed in the logbook and cache returned safely.
Then it was time to detour for a bite to eat before heading home and getting ready to go out to catch a movie.
Thanks for the cache Steve & Deb.

Why oh why it took me more than 5 seconds to see the 1st WP, I have no idea. After finally spotting it, I was soon back in the car and off to GZ. Parked pretty close and made my way in where I located the cache quickly. All is well here, TFTC!
Tracking down a few multis close to home & this one popped up on the radar.
Nice easy first stage then it was off to the final.
Mrs VC wandered about a little without much luck as I watched from the Geo-Beast parked nearby.
We tagged & in I went, almost straight to the elusive cache which blended in nicely with it's camo & surroundings.
TNLN, made our mark & replaced as found.
As it turned out, Mrs VC was about 5 metres off target.

Our second find of the day. We continued along Miller's Road and turned off to the right and parked near the roundabout where the needed information was soon found. Out and about today avoiding the rain on the northern side of town and clearing more caches around Logan.
This one was high on the list for today. The information at WP1 were found easily and GZ was spotted soon once my GPS decided to work again.

Nice multi. Got questioned by the family sitting in their garden looking into the roundabout 'what are you looking for, we found some xxxxxxxx in the bush earlier...'. Cache in very good condition. Thanks for placing.
Out and about with Elemnetal6 for a day of caching. This one was on the list! Cache is in good condition.
Cheers

This was a nice little multi. We spotted what we needed at WP1 fairly quickly Then it was a short drive to GZ. We didn't find anything at exactly GZ so we spread out like mentioned in previous logs. Turns out we didn't have to spread out much at all. In fact it's very close
Cache and contents are in great condition.
Thanks heaps for the cache and adding more fun to our day.

We had come over to the south side today to make a couple of finds. Once we had made those finds we looked at the time and thought that we should start heading back to grab some groceries as we had friends coming for dinner. We gave each other a look which signified neither one of us was ready to end the cache day just yet. We work well under pressure, we can be like MKR contestants and reduce our shopping and cooking time at the expense of our friends. Doesn’t really matter if we serve late, they aren't scoring us. Decision made, the caching day continues, we are the best hosts in the world.
The rain started coming down again on our way here but just as we parked near way point 1 it stopped, the caching gods are on our side. We hoped to find what we needed here quickly as we were surrounded in houses and you never know who is peaking out the window wondering ‘what are those freaks doing over there?’ Sometimes some places are just so hard to look casual in.
We quickly located what we needed and were off to the next waypoint. We parked the geo-beast and headed over. Man we were coming up with nothing so we expanded our search a little in case we were getting a bit of bounce in here and it wasn’t long before Mr 4ando spied something that was suspicious and delicious.

Well now that the cache has been replaced and souvenirs are in play this month I took a short drive to go find this cache. Best before summer and all the golden orb spiders get established like when I was up here looking last time. Tftc Steve&Deb
Nice easy multi - first completed but not first attempted!
Found the plaque, found the spiders, found an abandoned materess in the bush (ewww) and found a cache masquerading as a bin bag. All in my lunch break in heels
I had hoped to pick up the TB as I'm heading to NZ next week but I think it's a casualty of the prior box getting muggled. It can be removed if both the CO and TB owner report it missing.

Without a doubt this is my kind of multi! Not too much strain on the brain first thing on a cool Saturday morning! First location had the Master searching. I read the previous logs, got out of the car, wandered over and was quickly whispering....over here!!!! GZ coords in hand we then spent ages fighting the 8 legged creatures whilst rummaging in every likely looking hidey hole. Don't think we would have found this if Team ARF had not tripped over something biggish! Thanks for maintaining an oldie but a goodie. Bit unloved too which was a tidy bonus!
Attending an international geocaching day and had time to capture a few oldies before the event.
Arriving at WP1, now know what the name signifies as had hoped it would be a vineyard. And a tasting shed to boot. Not to be and probably too early for the bar to be opened at 07:30AM but a pleasant spot to drop by nevertheless. With the WP coords sorted it was onto the final.
Well Gcoven and I walked around the area for a number of minutes. Checked all spots and rechecked a few more, without luck. Surely something the size of the container mentioned couldn't be here as we'd checked everything . . . Well it was pure luck that I kicked the container trying to avoid a spider web (one of the many I 'tried' to avoid in this spot). No damage to the container and replaced for the next finder. The added bonus is some good 'unloved' credit too. Appreciate the effort in keeping this multi going all these years Tigey Wigey & Piglet, much appreciated.

This one is down for the count. Container is missing. Big shame as I not long replaced it after the original one got old. Oh well.

I have looked twice for this as well I think it's missing. Can the Co please check?
Fun little multi . Took the lucky 13 TB and discovered the milestone TB. For September, oldest and Geovloggers monthly challenges! Tftc and for maintaining for the last 15 years!!!
I live not too far away but have never gotten around to doing this one until now. It fitted nicely into the "Spell August" challenge and also qualified for two others as it is a veteran cache. I stopped at the first waypoint to get some numbers and luckily I now keep my glasses on a cord as without them I would not have been able to read the tiny tag. After much squinting even with the glasses I felt confident I had what I needed to proceed.
As the darkness was rapidly approaching I cruised around until I found a park not too far from GZ and thought I had gathered everything I needed for this one and set off. Found the cache in about five minutes but had forgotten a pen. Bother! So back to the car for that and decided to grab the lantern as well. Went back to the cache and signed the original log and went to take a picture but needed the big camera with flash as it was fully dark by then, and where was that? In the car of course so back to the car again to get that. Returned to the cache and got some happy snaps of my visit with this icon of caching and then packed everything away. It was then that I remembered I had intended to drop a couple of trackables here as well and Oh dear! they were also BACK IN THE CAR! So..... another trot back to the car for those! I brought those back making sure I had some photos of those and popped them in for the next finder who comes along. Phew! I certainly got some exercise here!
TFTC Tigey Wigey & Piglet. I'm glad to see that you are still caching and looking after this great cache for us all to enjoy

Out and about caching with Snickersallan today. This cache was not far from one of the target caches for the day.
Good to see an old cache still active and an original log inside! The container is broken though. We provided a plastic for the log and some silica gel to keep it dry.

Found this very old cache and it was great to see that the original logbook was still in use which we double bagged due to the cache container being very perished, would have replaced the 1 litre sistema if we had one with us though.
Thanks Steve & Deb for the neat little multi, good hide and TFTC

When I parked near WP1 I could immediately see something that needed my attention but dismissed it as too obvious. I proceeded to walk around the location looking for something else like a tool of the highest order. Ultimately when I decided to check the first thing I saw, some coordinates were revealed (or almost). I left my reading glasses in the car and decided to use the power of squint. Teach me for getting old. After a few glances and a triple-check I had some coordinates but one number was questionable. Ah, just go for it.
I ripped around the roundabout and headed to GZ, not sure which side to attack from. In the end I fluked the closest park and headed bush. After knocking down some cobwebs with my face I stumbled onto some unnaturally lined bark and a cache was discovered. I tipped out the water and added my name to the log. Cracker! tftc

Found what I needed at WP 1 and off to WP2. I didn't take long to have the cache in my hand but sadly it was full of water. Empty out water, log book was ok but sadly I did not have a replacement container. Signed log and replaced cache as found. TFTC

Saturday. Slow Puncture were on a mission on the dark side today - to find the remaining 6 caches required to fulfill Fangsoki's "Queensland's 'Oldest and Finest' Challenge".
We were not expecting to be able to say this under the circumstances, but this was a quick find. It is a credit to the cache that it has achieved such longevity, being in such a potentially cache-risky place. Container is damaged, but unfortunately, we had no replacement with us today.
This was the 3rd of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Tigey Wigey & Piglet***, for showing us this place.

First WP was simple, but the final was a little tougher at night. The cache is a large one, but will need immediate replacement as the lid is cracked and the contents completely waterlogged . We've cleaned it out as best we can, and have removed all of the unusable swag, but we've taken the eatmorchikin geocoin . Wanted to leave some swag to restock it, but worried it'll get ruined too...BYOP now.
Out looking for Oldies with barbbowman and bubba89 today. This was our third oldest and finest for the day and wp1 was in an interesting spot. I could actually see the info we needed as we drove past in the car. We parked in a handy spot and soon had the numbers in hand. Back in the car and it was a short trip to the final. All is good at GZ. TFTC Steve & Deb

Over here this morning specifically to grab this "Oldie"
I parked very close to ground zero for the first way point, and from the angle I walked up from I spotted the tag quite easily [^] The only problem was I needed to put my glasses on to read the coordinates
So with coordinates punched into my GPSr it was off to see if I could find the geocache
A short drive later I parked as close as where my compass was telling me I needed to go and I walked up to ground zero and commenced my search. After a bit of a look around I spotted the cache container, but it was only partially covered with camouflage and rather exposed to anyone who was walking by here (there was a trail close by).
I extracted the logbook after finding that the inside of the container was quite wet (I emptied some water out). The log book was relatively ok, and I was able to sign and date it with no problems.
Then I replaced everything back where I found it, but I've placed a little more camo back over it to hopefully shield it from muggles [?]
This cache could do with a bit of maintenance. If the Cache Owner is reading this, perhaps do a maintenance run and dry things out a bit please
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache Tigey Wigey & Piglet
