Hmmm... this explains why I only found a 35mm film canister with a note in it. Sometimes you just have to update your PDA files. The last entry in my PDA was the one from Crimson8, so I was expecting to find a cache. I took the film canister as a CITO to return the site to original condition.

Thanks Bronze for bringing me to this area even if I didn't find the cache. On to Red Cedar Retreat... Smile

This cache is cactus - Was good while it lasted.

Thanks for all the visitors help and Mix76's assessment.

Mrs-mix76 was hoping to find this one but I just saw it first. The cache only had a logbook in it and it was soaked so I phoned The Bronze and after some discussion he said that he would archive it as soon as he was online next to I remove it, I left a note in a film canister in case any one came after me before he archived it. This was my first find for today, number 1 of 5.

Went for a late afternoon walk just as a thunderstorm was brewing. Luckily made it out before the rain became heavy.

Cache still there and in good condition, even the pen still works.

We are happy to take over the maintenance of this cache and can stock it with some small items.

Could the next cachers who visit this cache please restore or archive this cache as I am no longer in the region to maintain it. It is a beautiful site and deserves a cache but my prototype caches didn't last a year.

This is a very wet environment and the initial caches didn't seal well. I will be returning next weekend but doubt I will have time to replace them. Will notify here if I do.

Sincerely,
Bronze (Dubbo NSW)

Found by Maya and Ray (The Nomads) on the 26th June, 2003 at 12-30pm, what a sad sight to find for the kids, just a very wet ziplock bag with some cache reports in it. A rescue must be made so that all the little up and coming geocachers can still have some fun. We replaced the bag with a plastic container, together with the notebook from Red Cedar, and included a pen so the cache can continue, Maya wrote a brief log of previous cachers including the dates in the logbook. Lets hope it all remains dry and something still to find for the next cachers. Thanks from The Nomads.

YAAAAAAAYYY !!!!!!! No. 50 for the Wombats.

Anyway, to the cache. I think someone may have taken the actual cache container and left the log in a ziplock envelope. Result - 1 very wet (and unusable) log. (Again, if the next visitor could take a log and pen.) Left a slip of paper to log the cache but I am unsure as to whether this will remain dry either. Great place for a hide. Very kiddy friendly and many places for BBQs.

Thanks Bronze.

I passed by this area in September and picked up the other 2 caches but did not have the cooridnates for this one in the GPS so I took the opportunity to come back. Found the cache relatively easy and held it up for some time to let all of the water drain out. The log was relatevily dry however there was no pen so I did not record my find. The frill necked lizard is my witness. Great spot, I will be back.

Found 16:00 a nice easy cache to finish the day, time was running down (we had an evening engagement) so we will return for the other two caches in this area.

Took Geo-Monkey and left Frill neck lizard key ring.

Third in a Series of Caches was found by me (Finally!). Contents were still there but severely waterlogged! A-6 saved as many logs and intact items as possible, some items (mainly the bandages) had to be removed as they had split open and were soaked through. Restocked with goodies and replaced. BTW the co-ordinates were a fair way off so perhaps cache owner should check to make sure (I would have but I can't be sure I'm 100% accurate, I've only been using GPS for 2 days!) Overall great day, lots of easy caches for a beginner like myself to get stuck into! Throughly enjoyed!!! Thanks!!!

Smile Easy clues for this one-we actually were going to walk past it as GPS suggested we still had about 80m to travel.Container was wet so wife took out the bandage and wiped it clean.Added geomonkey from Red Cedar Retreat and some other goodies.Added entry to log and cant remember waht we put in as we seem to have lost the list somewhere.Good hike for the kids-the animal will prove to be eye candy.

After a bit of research , decided on the downhill appraoch to these 3 caches...

foud this one a bit worse for wear. half full of water.

couldnt fill out log, as it was all soggy, so left a found-it note of our own.

nice parklands, on to goodies.

Hail fellow cachers.

This cache is soon to be replaced with a more water proof model. The Bilo T76 150 superseal. Sounds pretty exciting eh! Well the water has taken its toll on some other nearby caches so hopefully the contents will survive long enough for us to get there and seal it up.

Will do my best to tidy this cache up and put in a better pad. Will also adjust the coordinates to the more accurate measures.

Cheers Bronze.

The Goose hadn't be laid last time we visited, so we returned for another bite. We thought this one wuld be easy, but the co-ords took us where we didn't expect. The clues steered us true however, and we found quickly. The advertised co-ords seemed off by about 30m, so try .103/.976 if you end up in the bush.
Cache was a bit soggy, not to mention a bit sparse. We took nothing, and added a baby bear.

Brought along Spook's kids for the three caches in this area, giving them both a turn each at using the GPS and clues to track them down.

Norman's turn to find this one. Nice hiding spot, but very close to the track. Took the booty a little way into the bush away from passers-by. Both kids swapped some bits in and out.

Off to Goodie Goodie Gum Drops

Nice one Bronze.

Found it! woohoo!. Had trouble getting it back to its home from all the traffic walking past wondering what I was up to, but I managed to sneak it back. Once again tree cover is a bit of an issue, so some patience is in order.

Warning!! Dont go walking off the tracks at the moment, I have been, and have found ticks on myself after. Wrong time of year for them but this dry weather has brung them out.
