Hi been there 5 times now..even had a little hint from someone ..but it looks like this cache is not there anymore!!!and we Swiss guys leave it now to the NZ cachers!
Not found jet..but if we find a way around all those fences somewhere..then sure we will get that one logged .....hi from Switzerland
Taking advantage of the sunshine to take a walk around Lloyd Elsmore Park, I strolled up to GZ and had a hunt around . The co-ordinates had taken me to an area that matched the photo in the gallery, but in spite of spending 15 minutes hunting I could not locate the cache.
I could only find 1 thing that fitted the hint, and that didn't conceal the cache, so I have to add this one to my list of Auckland DNF's for the moment.

Out and about collecting some smiley faces this cloudy Sunday afternoon. Nice quick find but waterlogged and need attention from the CO. TFTC.
The cache container is full of water and the log book is soaked. Needs a visit for a little TLC.
Thanks
Thanks
After a quick 2 hour job this morning decided to do a few caches around the area to get rid of a few annoying green dots!
As previous logs found the container and log soaked! Managed to scrawl NZT on the log.
Needs maintenance.

Started off with ok weather so we managed to grab a few caches, as the day progressed the weather got worse, managed a few finds, had some lunch, found a few more before the weather set in.
Thanks to the CO's who placed these caches

Last time I came here never found the cache, today when I come here, found the cache but too wet to sign so just took a foto. C.O can see it if they so desire.
Was in the area this morning on a wee detour on my way to work so stopped here at dawn to try this one. Actually picked 'that' up three times before I saw the cache. Well done and giving an FP for that. Log is completely saturated tho so I left a piece of paper in the bag but it needs work. TFTC
Great Cache!.... Well that was a mission! Tried a few locations before getting to it! Great Camo! TFTC!

Very soggy and wet inside flooded can't open book so wet yet very good spot took is a hour great one
The cache is extremely wet and log was one big slimy messy. Tired to sign on inside cover without too much success. Needs to be replaced but we didn't have supplies with us today sorry. TFTC.
After spending a bit of time carefully trying to navigate the cuttygrass, I came to my senses and decided to look elsewhere. Not really sure why I decided to look there, as I didn't think it looked likely, but glad I did.
As others have said log very wet, did manage to get a bit of a name on it before my pen stopped writing.

First visit yielded nothing, couldn’t find the stumbling block (usually it’s the other way around). Did some google mapping and came back this morning, didn’t take long to spot the very nicely thought hide. Would get an FP, except that the container and bag were both full of water. Log book is unsignable sadly. Perhaps if the container was upgraded to something more watertight, then the FPs (and not the water) might flow. TFTC
Second time lucky at this one. Spent a while for no result a month ago. Back today. Careful searching and looking and cache was soon in hand. Totally water filled and log book not to good to try write in.
Took a bit of searching for but stumbled over it in the end. Lots of creepy crawlies and rubbish in the area.
After the Geocachers Anonymous Meeting some of us decided to grab a few local caches. Although this was only 80m from where we'd had breakfast we had to do quite a detour as there was stream in the way which wasn't really jumpable Once at GZ we made note of the hint and I soon saw something that could be 'tripped over'... and sure enough there was the cache The container had quite a bit of water in it so we tried to dry it out and put in a fresh zip lock bag, TFTC!
After a nearby breakfast event we headed out to grab another couple of caches. This was the first one. Found with purply and HeMaLuDy, along with Dragongriffon, AntzNz and others

This was the meeting place for Tufty and I for today as I could leave my car safely while we had a day out caching. Short walk to GZ and the nicely hidden cache was located after a short search. Thanks
Team Welsh rang up and suggested another day of caching. Who was I to turn down an invitation like that. So we met up in a carpark close to this cache.
Cheers for the cache.

Filling in Netball practice time with some walking g and geocaching. Turned out to be a much quicker find than I was anticipating after reading some of the activity logs. Nice camo.
This took some searching, while the rain poured down. After re-reading the hint I headed off in one direction and literally tripped over the cache.
Out doing some caches with Merlot58 and Aiden29 and saw this was one we had not captured in earlier ventures out here. Stopped by as the weather continued to not play ball and the rain continued. Persistent searching finally paid off when we tripped over something.
This took us a little longer than we hoped it would in the rain then Aiden29 tripped over something and lo and behold it was the cache
Good camo. Would recommend taking the shortcut through the parking lot next to the playground instead of going the long way round! At least the long grass cleaned my muddy shoes.
Returned after work and had another go after seeing new hint and reading logs !
Good one mashnz .
Thanks for the fun !

Glad to finally earn a smiley for this. Some tricky camo. Needed some hints to get there.TFTC
Saw this come out the day before, and I was only 1.5km's away, but decided to leave it for my dot day.
But was home today looking after my niece and heard the co ords have been updated. But I heard others from the SEAC team were attending, so I left it to them. But then got a SOS call so me and my niece jumped to action.
Arrived at GZ and spent far to long looking for it. The CO offered another hint, which helped a lot. I'm sure some Geocaching rules might have been broken in placing this cache.....but that's ok
Group {FTF}...Go Team SEAC.

Spent far to long looking. Can we please have a real hint. 3.5 adults and no joy
Our first visit was a damp experience in torrential rain near amazing floodwaters ending in a DNF. But we did enjoy watching a fisherman catching huge fish in the small nearby pond.
Todays visit was a lot more successful and we found the very cleverly hidden cache quite quickly thanks to the updated coordinates and hint.
Thanks for the experience.

Still no joy even with new coordinates. Hint pleeeeeeease. Have been searching for half an hour or more.
It was yesterday when this cache was published and Mr. Kiwi was at work so he couldn't go and search with everybody else for this cache, but luckily Mrs. Liver Bird was with some of the rest of Team SEAC and they all had a go at trying to find this cache. Well, as they and a few others couldn't find it, especially as the rain was bucketing down at times during the day, the search was given up by all. There was also an issue with the co-ordinates, to which the CO said he would get better co-ordinates within the day.
So, we were all waiting with bated breath for the new co-ordinates, then just after lunch the phone went signifying that the new co-ordinates were now loaded and the hunt was on again. We had just walked in the door when the notification came through. So, it was quickly grab a pen and rush on out to LEP to go hunting for a cache. As we live not far away, it didn't take us long to get to GZ. Once there, the app was still putting the cache at the old co-ordinates, but after a refresh or two the new location was revealed.
The search started in earnest as we didn't know who else would be winging their way towards the cache. Well, the GPS on the phones were bouncing around a bit so it made it pretty hard to look in one particular place. As it turned out, Mrs. Liver Bird had a good fix on the cache at times and often said that she was right on top of it, but with Mr. Kiwi searching what was a most likely hiding area where Mrs. Liver Bird said, the cache did not reveal itself. The search area was expanded and more area scrutinized, but still no sign of the cache.
While all of this was going on, the rest of Team SEAC were giving encouragement and advice through Messenger. After about 40-45 minutes of searching, UncleSamNZ sent the message, "Help is on it's way". Not long afterwards, he turned up and started the search as well. With his GPSr and our phones we were still not able to locate the cache. So the call went out to the CO, HELP!!! A short while later and a hint was given. Once the hint was read out, it took less than 10 seconds to find the cache. Yay, the log book was blank signifying the successful {FTF}, a joint one with UncleSamNZ, approximately 1 hour after the start of the search.
A nice piece of camo for the cache, but will have to make sure that it is replaced exactly as found.

After a lengthy search no luck here. Coords on GPS & aerial maps take you to open grass, leaving a large search area.
OK then, add me and harisree to the growing list, FMZ had a theory but we had only minutes to do a search to check his theory out and I had to get harisree home by 3pm, she had a dance practice today for a show she's in! Sorry FMZ! I know you were itching to explore more. But we wait now and see where the true co-ords might be!
I'm soooo close. But will leave this for a day I need a cache for my geo calendar- an emergency cache :-p
Not luck for me either. Had a good rummage around. Think the co-ords need updating. Nice meeting you avoyager.
Hi all, sorry, looking at map coords do appear to be wrong. Will attempt to correct them today or tomorrow.
