WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 54 - Bunbury to Fremantle via Mundijong. I did some roadside caches along the highway before it became freeway. I had two more counties on the radar, so I took a bit of a detour and found a fantastic little village Mundijong. From there it was back on main roads and from Armidale it was all built up. I tried a reserve for some series caching, but it was very hard going off trail and I struggled. After setting up, I headed into Fremantle itself for dinner and then I went for a bit of a walk and managed three more before heading home for the night. It was now time to head on and I did a few more roadside caches along the way. Some were a little off the road, bit were still easy to access. I did miss a few of the ones I tried, but this one went fine. Thanks for the cache Granett47872.17 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Cache Queensland Cal A#437**Albida**

Taurus Six and I have taken an extra day off work to make it a five day Easter Break . We had a leisurely morning before heading to the Crooked Carrot for brunch. Our favourite spot when heading up the highway. Our geocaching aim today was to meander through the suburbs of Perth chipping away at Adventure Labs and picking up traditional caches nearby. We were ultimately heading for the Swan Valley where we are spending the Easter break. Absolutely beautiful weather making the criss cross across the Metro area even more enjoyable from the ocean to the hills. This was our eighth Cache find of the day along with nearby Adventure Lab elements. The road was surprisingly very busy around here . It is clearly a main short cut for people on work days. There was a good parking spot near gz which made it much easier to find, log and replace cache . Thanks for the cache.

Out today enjoying a little drive to pick up some caches in & around Mundijong & Jarrahdale... a bunch of which I had actually found previously but forgot to log, doh, and others like this one that were new. Pulled the car over and was pleased to make a quick find after a short rummage around. Sadly a fair bit of rubbish around here so the hint was welcome. All ok with the cache here today - TFTC

Catching up on my online logs.
The Better Half and I went out for a day of caching. We found about 26 caches and DNF'd around 4.
Was an enjoyable day except when we came up against the numerous roadworks around the area and had to change our plans a few times.

Cache found without problems. Log signed and cache returned as found.

Thanks Granett for placing this cache for us to find.

Such a nice day that I thought that I would try and knock off some more of the SWH caches and a few others on the way. Most were found quite easily although a few took a little longer. It was so green down here with lots of fat cows and some beautiful wildflowers to look at. Only a couple of DNFs so a good day Tftc

Found it. TFTC Granett. Had a current visa so I went south across the boarder into the depths of the unknown. The day was for relaxation and geocaching but maybe not in that order. I have previously done some of this SWH series and today I have returned for a second attempt to gain a few more smileys. What can I say here, it was Orrsome but it would have been better with cake. shame about the rubbish people dump

11-Apr-18
So much rubbish near the cache. Why do people do that when they have bins at home. Cache found without to much trouble. Thanks

07-Apr-18

We're 99% certain that we found this cache. In a very "risky" location.

We were driving back to Perth, turned off SW highway. Stopped in an obvious spot for a pee against a tree... Looked where I was about to pee -- and saw an obvious cache container!

Standard small Sistema container, properly closed, mostly covered. It contains just a log strip, with plenty of logged visits... now including ours.

*But*... nothing else! Not even a cache code nor a cache name. Just the log. I'll post a "needs maintenance" for the owner.

25-Mar-18
See our log for today...

Cache needs an identifier (GC code and name). And perhaps move it *behind* the tree!

03-Mar-18
After a dreadful working week (the surrounds to this week perfectly suited my week!) I needed some caching therapy. Initially I made searching for this one much harder than it needed to be. Thanks to the hints in previous logs it turned out to be an easy find.

I have been looking to head out to Kojonup for sometime to collect a few of the WanAus feeder caches for the RWA and DWA series. After touching base with the boys, Granett decided to join the road trip.

And early start to and a heap of kilometres covered.

What an Orrsome cache. Well, maybe not. But an Orrsome cacher and also cache owner who was with me for this find on the way home.

Granett, Kyzabra found your cache SWH...Orrsome Family, the cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

Day Eleven of our holiday in Western Oz.
Bettyboo3747 and I have spent the morning on the South West Highway between Jarrahdale and Pinjarra, and the afternoon trying to find a cache that still exists on the way back to Rockingham.

The first for the morning, always good to get off to a good start with a quick find.
Thanks, Robmc.

#12664. Day 11 of our WA holiday and our 6th day based in Rockingham. Robmc and I decided to tackle the SWH Series between Jarrahdale and Pinjarra. We managed a nice run of 44 caches before lunch and then the wheels fell off somewhat as we made our way home via Mandurah. So many caches were not viable so we didn't feel like wasting time searching. It was hard to find some caches that were still in play.

This was our first one for morning and a glimpse of blue helped us make a quick find.

Thanks Granett

Our last day around this neck of the woods before heading home, this was another find for us whilst caching in the area… Spotted the obvious tree but of course looked on the wrong side first before finding the well covered cache Big Grin

Thanks Granett [^]

16-Jun-17
After dropping daughter at airport at 1.30pm to head home we came this way to cache.
The plan was to find as many as possible on my list before it got dark.
Managed many km and 26 on the way home, which all helps as this month is my numbers month

well this cache nearly wasn't as Orrsome as its namesake. Looked in all the obviously wrong places, trod in something that didn't look too good (with so much rubbish here) and walked around with a spider web attached.
I had just finished 'calling it' to muggle when I tried one last easy spot and there it was, phew as I didn't want a Sad

TFTC

All good and replaced as found
