Found after a bit of hunting around.
Another broken branch so not quite as straightforward as it might have been.
Thanks

Out on a mission today to knock off a few of these Expressway Cycle / Walkway caches. Spent a wee bit of time on this "little bit tricky" tmann421 hide which was made even trickier by a couple of broken branches as mentioned in [Marchwood](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?guid=740a3f5b-892c-4edc-8fac-e4626cc200ad)'s log.
As you do though when things aren't completely straight forward, you take some time to carefully read the hint and a few previous successful logs then all will be well.

The last few times when I have cycled past here during the week there have been workers on the hill nearby so I didn't want to stop and search, I thought it might be easier on a weekend, and I was right. No workers today (early Sunday morning) and nobody came past while I was searching. Quite tricky to spot this one. I was almost about to give up, when I thought one last little look, searched high and low and finally spotted it. TFTC
On my annual pilgrimage to Te Horo this morning with time to make a few finds before my appointment.
This was tricky. Slightly higher terrain as several branches have collapsed.
I worked my way along the construction site fence and eventually spotted the hide.

A last minute decision by Mr Rattll to go to Waikanae meant Mrs Rattll was offered the opportunity to be dropped off somewhere for a bit of caching, so despite a marginal weather forecast, this trail was targeted.
This one took quite a bit of spotting, and I did have a jogger muggle glance my way while I was searching, but he continued on his way. Once it was spotted I needed to get at the right angle to make the grab. I hope it's readable as the pen was starting to struggle a bit here.
Thanks for setting this up tmann421

Quite a tricky on and cachers have to understand the hint. Well done CO for the cache.
For a long time we have wanted to get some smiley faces along this bike trail and these few days off in the camper were the very excuse we needed to do them. The ride was very enjoyable and very easy with just a little breeze. It was great to see such an array of different hides and to see some of the country side from a different angle. All hides appeared to be in good condition and the co ords were usually spot on
Many thanks for bringing us to this area

Yes, I did need the hint and still had to hunt around the branches. Cleverly done, thanks tmann421.
I was in and around Waikanae today, so thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity to try for some caches away from home to get my numbers up towards the magic 1000 which I will be hoping will be the WENZ Mega event itself this coming Saturday.
There was only the very occasional cyclist using the track when I was there today, so I was able to locate the cache, extract and sign the log, and then replace it all as found at my leisure. The cache itself was a nice size and a straightforward find courtesy of the Hint, and I can report that all is fine with the container and the logsheet.
Thank you for placing all your caches. I believe you have become the CO I've found the most caches of lol!

The kids always find these ones, and I always miss them duh. Alone today so had to channel my inner child. Nice hide.
One of nine caches found on our leisurely bike ride along part of the Expressway Cycleway this afternoon. Credit to those who built this “shared pathway” for people to enjoy.
Reasonably quick find and, yes, I did use the hint! Gotta make things easy for myself! #1938. TFTC.

After being in Wgtn with grand kids and then staying a few nights with friends (Geocaching positive) in the kapiti area it was time to travel home and i thought id collect the last few that were handy on the expressway cycle way track.
I started here parked at the side of the bridge and walked along to GZ searched in all the wrong places before the ah ha moment of course there it is! so then was signed and replaced.
Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.

This one didn't take too long to spot which is a nice change, I can be quite blind to such hides sometimes.

Auf dem Weg von Wellington nach New Plymouth sammelten wir die Dosen am Wegesrand ein. Diese konnten wir gut finden. Danke fürs Legen.

Found during a very pleasant Sunday afternoon cycle on the EWY cycle/walk/ride path. My first use of this great new route.
Straightforward find, cache in order. Log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.
The Turtle strikes again!

Another find while cycling the expressway today. Again cache and log both in excellent condition.
A really enjoyable cycle ride with the EU Crew and drawp allowed us to collect a few caches en route. TFTC
Yes, I did want a hint. There were a few potential locations, I still wasn't sure about how good the coords would be, and one potential area looked painful to get at. Nice to have confirmation it wasn't a nasty hide. TFTC.
Parked up at the end of Smithfield Road and headed southwest grabbing caches as I went. The last one of the evening and able to claim 1185m towards the DGSc distance challenge. Thanks for the cache, and now the walk back to the car.
I have never found one of these preform tubes before, they certainly make good containers - maybe too good it took us ages to find it.
Cache # 3,988 - A nice afternoon for a short walk to this one. Found after a short search. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Today I had decided to have a try to get most of the Expressway caches from Waikanae to Peke Peka before the forecasted nasty weather turns up.
I checked the usual obvious spot before moving on to the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

In Paraparaumu for a tenpin bowling tournament. Had the bike in the car, parked near Peka Peka Road and biked down down this lovely Cycle / Walkway for nine finds and two DNFs. Last one for today, will be back for the others. Thanks tmann421 for the cache
Out on a nice sunny winter's day with my wife for a bike ride of the Expressway cycle trail. This one nice and easy too, once we reread the notes!.

Had to go to Otaki today and the weather was excellent, so I set aside some time to find some caches along the way. This was the second cut at the expressway caches; after having found the southern ones this morning I parked in Te Moana Road in Waikanae this afternoon and biked up and back to get the northern ones. A very pleasant and easy ride. Spotted the nicely hidden cache after a few minutes' checking likely places. Signed log, TFTC
11.40am. This took longer than the others today but still only a minute or two.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
This one took a few minutes and it was Netty who found it pretty close to where I had looked to begin with but had moved away from. I hadn't seen a container like this used before but it seems very sturdy and fit for purpose.
Found on a delightful cycle ride from Poplar Avenue to Pekapeka and return. An interesting ride and which will become quite plesant as the planting grow. TFTC
We found the right spot but then we couldn't see the wood for the trees! After I bit of a search I turned around and then there it was, plain as day! Thanks for the cache!
Geo kid #1 used her skills to locate this one. A great way to break up the journey! TFTC
Enjoyable walk today collecting the caches along the trail. Kobie enjoyed all the smells along the way TFTC
Thanks for the cache. This is our find number 708 and we found it at 11:45:41 AM NZST on 16 April 2017. Yes, we needed the hint!!
Another good tmann hide along the expressway. Love the method of the hide here. TFTC.
Just before I got to here some cheeky bugger asked me if I'd lost my bike! I was on foot which is presumably unsual although I was not the only walker I encounted today. Every single sign reminds us that this is a shared pathway for walking, cycling and even horses.

Find #2755. Today was my first experience of the Kapiti Expressway cycle way. Arrived at Waikanae on the first train of the day out of Wellington and cycled up a very quiet (old) State Highway One to Pekapeka to join the cycle way.
No doubt there will be more caches appearing north of here (and further south) in due course - a good excuse to cycle this more than once!
Despite an inclement weather forecast, the day turned out to be very pleasant with plenty of others out enjoying the walk.
A little more work involved and it looks a little odd disappearing into the tree. Seventh find of the day. SL TFTC

I had to make an unplanned trip up the coast this morning so decided to check out these new caches while in the area. Cheers and TFTC
Another UlmusLynx find and she had more luck with the interior with this one. So far we hadn't seen the promised group of 30 cyclists but the dribs and drabs had to be watched. We turned back after this, anticipating a further visit or two hoping even more caches will be set up.
Found while on a day out with UlmusLynx and Gilgul. A very pleasant walk that is very popular TFTC
#9005. Returned on a nice sunny day to find the rest of the new Expressway Cycle / Walkway series that have been published so far. We started cycling from Te Moana Road in Waikanae. A nice spot to stop amongst the trees. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

3TF The weather has finally decided to clear up so I decided on a bit of caching and went to complete the new expressway series. A quick find as the area was very quiet. All in order. TFTC
A quick find during an enjoyable cycle ride today checking out these new caches.
I blundered around for a short time here before finally spotting the container.
Thanks very much for the cache.

{FTF} I was so pleased to see these caches pop up and after dropping a couple of visitors off at the Train Station took the opportunity to check them out. The sun was shining and it was quite pleasant. No-one around fortunately as I've heard the cycleway/pathway has been quite busy since it opened. A quick find. Thanks for placing these caches tmann.
One of two DNFs on the trail today.
Yes I did need a hint but GPS was wandering and I couldn't follow the one given, checked the likely spots that were T 1.5 that seemed to fit the hint without any luck.
Was going to have another go on the return journey but decided against it as though I enjoyed the walk I decided after doing the northernmost cache that I was ready to head for home.
