A nice little walk. Cache and log are good. A favourite point for showing me the view. TFTC Yoshi Warriors.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 20/10/2024, find number 1823.I was determined to put at least one smiley on the map at Tower Hill after a DNF at Towering Inferno. Fortunately this one was a nice easy find at the end of the day. We enjoyed the beautiful afternoon views across the park before heading back to the car. TFTC!
Nice little walk to stretch the legs after a long drive! And an absolutely incredible view. Very glad I stopped for this one. TFTC!
Staying nearby at Koroit an interesting little town rich with early Irish settlement. Certainly worth a visit. Took the opportunity to visit Tower Hill to find a cache or two. Tftc
TFTC! 28 September 2024 12:38:49PM 8515 thanks to Yoshi Warriors for the cache! A rather quick find. A very lovely view!
I decided to pick up a few caches on the way back to Melbourne to Brunswick to break up the drive a little. I had tried to search for this cache on my last visit to Portland, however the park was closed due to the severe winds. A tree had fallen on the path to this cache. The cache was located quickly and my name added to the log book. Such a lovely view from this angle of the parkThanks Yoshi Warriors for the cache.
Use to come here as a kid when seeing my grandparents at their farm not far from here.
WOW!Awesome view so beautiful / ) / / / (___......... ((__)TFTC ((___)....... ((__)--.___((_)*****************Not my thumbs up credit to the owner whom I couldnt find
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. It is a perfect day for exploring Tower Hill. Thanks for the cache. LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local finds. Chill day but the sun is out. Thanks for the hideLNCU
I had packed up A'Tuin the geomobile, the geodogs, Gypsy Girl, Teeny Treek, and Mini Michi on board, and we had set off for Warrnambool, where Mrs Dromaniax would meet us later in the day.We had a list of caches we wanted to find today, and having just completed a First to Find, we were back in Colac to find the Multicaches hidden around town. We had completed the data collection task on previous visits, and now was the day to find them all and see if we could finally have a day with six Multicache finds. After a couple of days in Warrnambool, we were on our way back home, but before we left Warrnambool, we wanted to see if we could find another six multicaches in a day.We also wanted to find this cache as it is the only one in Tower Hill that we had not found. The last time we were here, it was not possible for us to access this one due to roadworks.Stunning views from this cacheThank you, Yoshi Warriors, for this Traditional cache.
We have only visited Tower Hill once before and that was in 2011, Did a few caches that time and targeted two more to look for today. This was the first. After parking we were unsure as to whether we should look for this one as the track was closed. But there were others walking where we needed to go so around the barrier tape we went and made the short walk to GZ.The cache container was laying in the open so after signing duties we replaced it back where we thought it should go and covered it as best we could. I don't know how the group in front of us didn't spot it.It was so windy up here today that this one might well get blown away again, I know we nearly were!!Thanks for bringing us back to this interesting place that we would have sailed past if not for the geocaches here.
Found cache out in the open so hid it a bit better than we found it. Beautiful views of an amazing place. TFTC Happy Easter
Find number 12981 at 4:05:57pm on Sunday the 25 February 2024Well, I'm on my way, Adelaide here we come. I have seven days to get there and I'm travelling via the wiggly geocaching road so I hope I've allowed enouth time Today I'm travelling down to the Fitzroy River via Lorne, Colac, Camperdown, Warrnambool and Port Pairy. Found all my targets bar one so, not a bad day on the trip.Amazing views around here!**Thanks for placing this cache Yoshi Warriors**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. A list of the geocaches can be found [here](https://coord.info/BM9GWJ5). The cache "Welcome To Tower Hill" was task for TEMBO! and me. We visited the hill and saw a wonderful landscape. The vulcano was asleep or gone - good for us.Thanks to Yoshi Warriors for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1
Easy find with Rohkad. Actually found another old cache on the way!!! So odd that its still around, Ill try and contact the CO regarding its removal. Tftc
After a very windy lunch in the car park up top we wandered along to this one. Nice quick find and sign. TFTC
scramping & I were visiting to Warrnambool for a long weekend. We met up with Chook (ChooknChunk) at Koroit for lunch before heading over to Tower Hill. Visiting Tower Hill has been on my to-do-list for quite some time. I have driven past many times but never stopped. I don't know why, maybe time constraints. It is such a beautiful place and with the added bonus of a couple of caches to find here. This one was a short walk along the rim and to GZ. The cache was located quickly, signed & returned as found.TFTC Yoshi Warriors
Found with hevwalker and chooknchunk after meeting in Koirot for a lovely catchup over lunch. Parked in the top carpark and headed off to get the first of the caches here at Tower Hill. What stunning views, they reminded us a little of our Valley lakes back in Mount Gambier which is next to the Blue Lake. The lakes here were definitely blue today. After a quick walk and a few photos we had the cache in hand and was heading to the next. TFTC and bringing us to this beautiful place.
Chook was on an overnight roadtrip to Warrnambool for an event and to catch up with friends. We met up for lunch and labs at Koroit and then made our way here to spend the afternoon at Tower Hill. We had been here a few years ago but the few caches we found back then have since been archived. It's a great place to revisit regardless, so no complaints here. A quick find after a short walk from the carpark. All is good at GZ. TFTC Yoshi Warriors.
After a day trip to Port Fairy, heading back to Warrnambool, we didn't have a great amount of time to check out Castle Hill. We did however, after taking a drive through the park, stop to undertake the small wander down to log this hide.Very much want to make it back here to explore this amazingly unique place in Victoria. Thanks for the Cache.
Last one for the day as we head back from Port Fairy. I for one am petrified of birds and emus are at the top of the list.. RyderSpider was kind enough to forgo the caches inside and just do this one in the safety of openess. Such beautiful scenery from this spot, were very lucky to live in the land that we do. Thank you for this cache and the lookout!
Revisiting the Tower Hill after nearly 6 years. The old cache I found in Tower Hill 6 years ago has long gone!
What a beautiful place looking forward to my walk. I couldn't find the loop tracks from here. So l followed the Rd down and went for a two - or three hour wander to find the other caches.
In Koroit for a few days visiting friends. 1st time going into Tower Hill. 2 emus were guarding this cache but we skirted around them & made the find. Retrieved the TB to move it along. Many thanks
On a wet a cold day we set off to grab a couple of caches, who would have thought it would take us to this amazing place, the rain held off for us to get this one and the view was well worth the walk, thanks for placing this cache

Heading home, finishing an Adventure Lab and picking up a few finds along the cool rail trail. The last time we were here there was roadworks close to where you park for GZ and we couldn't get it. No such troubles today - easy find in a cool spot. Now the area has been 'cached out' time for the locals to hide some more, we love coming back here. Thanks for the cache Yoshi Warriors.

Catching up with some late logs. This was found while staying in the area.
Out this way yesterday and missed this, so decided to stop off on the way to Koroit. There were some great views and really enjoyed exploring the area.
Arrived at GZ where it was a quick find.
Thanks Yoshi Warriors for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Great little walk from the car park! Geohubby stayed back with the geokids while they smacked after completing the boardwalk walk inside the park.

We are on our way to the Rutherglen Mega. Today we travel from Mt Gambier to Warrnambool, via Port Fairy. Caching took us to a couple of great geological places, The Crags and Tower Hill; we would have driven past.
We were running short of time here, so we aimed for this cache only, found it, then took a drive around Tower Hill.

We really enjoyed walking in a variety of places through this amazing area today. So much historic geological volcanic activity, and the landscape and rocks here are amazing.
The birdlife is incredible, and all the freshwater of the lake means that the water birds are also abundant.
We enjoyed this short and flat walk along the top to GZ. It provided us with spectacular views along the way.
Log signed.
Thanks Yoshi Warriors

Day 4 and it was the last day of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... time to head home to Melbourne... but not without finding lots of caches along the way. But that nearly didn't happen... *geocaching.com* shut down for maintenance in the morning... and it was only by good luck that I had a collection of caches stored off-line.
The modified plan for the morning was to find enough caches in Moyne Shire tick it off for the *12 Circuits of Victoria Challenge*... and then another 8 caches to tick it off for the *WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge*... and so it was that I made my way to Tower Hill.
There is a lovely new car park at the entrance to the reserve so it is easy to stop for this cache without having drive the full way through if you are in a hurry... not that I was. An easy stroll brought me to the cache and some good views over the lakes. Well worth the effort.
Thanks **Yoshi Warriors** for this cache.

Found at 3:44 PM GAFF5 in the company of Wollaston and Liz and Bruce.
We had a bit of free time waiting for parts for our cars to arrive so off we went to Tower Hill to find the "new" caches here. We were here in 2005 and 2013 doing the caches around here at the time and now see that there have been quite a few more caches and events here that have since been archived.
A short walk to the cache seeing how brown the lake is - thought by now it would turn into the blue lake!
Thanks Yoshi Warriors.

Leaving Portland and heading off home.
Went a convoluted back way and did a few caches on the way.
I have been caching to Tower Hill several times, but have never seen the lakes from this angle.
An interesting view.
Thanks, Robmc.

Coming to Warrnambool, the old Volcano Crator at Tower Hill caught my fancy. It certainly looking interesting and when 999Huntress also commented on it it was a done deal. Wanted to get here earlier before it was too hot, but that wasn't to be and after 11.30 on a hot Sunday it was.
This was the first find and it was a quick find at 11.45 am. A friendly Lizard helped us find the cache as it ran right to it, and hide behind it.
Thanks for the cache Yoshi Warriors

Beautiful spot! Earwigs in the cache but all good apart from them! Flies unbelievable though!!
I inadverantly missed this one on my tour of Tower Hill the other day, so had to pop in as we drove by. Parked at the top, outside the gates and took the short walk down the side track and quickly has the cache in hand and made my mark.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Another short wander near the entrance to Tower Hill Reserve. All these wonderful views and we haven’t even driven into the Reserve yet! SL at 3.40pm Left: Wangaratta Event card to be discovered or moved to another location to spread the word. #8111 Beavar and Harrowang are from Wangaratta on holidays together in Warrnambool. Welcome indeed! The sky was getting darker and that was reflected in the water below. TFTC

Day off for Australia Day, I decidecd to head down to Warrnambool and Tower Hill.
First stop before going down. This was one of the shortest walks I had in the area and it was a great view over the Tower Hill area.
