Chewbacca72 and I are traveling during 4 months through Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A few caches that are on our way should not be missing. This cache is one of them. Many thanks to Bushfire for hiding.Best regards, searchersab
After a nice walk along the beach, we rock hopped our way to this cache before coming back through the camping ground. All in good condition here. Thanks for adopting this cache Dromaniax.
Found It.......While having lunch we decided to head down here to collect some more caches and do some cache maintenance on one of ours. After winding through the rainy ranges we popped out in wonderful sunshine and after pulling up i wandered over to the top of the beach and realised i might be beat due to the tide and the swell but after watching the wave action i made a dash around the point where i came across some muggles with their dogs. Once at GZ a quick search soon yielded the cache and with the log signed we continued our journey. Thanks Dromaniax for the cache
Normally I love rock hopping but late in the day and after a very early start [it was completely dark when we arrived at the first cache ] I decided to take the easy option here and walk through the caravan park. This one took a little while to locate but perseverance and reading previous logs helped.Thanks.
OMG that was hard, slipped on rocks and have a few bruises from oath down from caravan park to rocks, take it easy!
This was quite a long search until Mrs SKI spotted something possible while standing back.We headed off down the Great Ocean Road for a few days for a belated wedding anniversary celebration. The weather was kind and the scenery along the road spectacular. We based ourselves in Lorne and then tripped around checking out the local places. While we had visited the area some time ago it was great to spend more time exploring the area, and of course the caching.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Dromaniax.**SKI Pair****
Cool hiding spot and awesome surrounds. Be sure to check the tides before venturing out onto the rocks!Logbook is damp btw
Took a bit to find but find we did.Staying at caravan park on our way to Adelaide. Log book is damp and could use a bit of assistance. Thanks for the beautiful location. Our plan hatched months ago when we learned that the Ballarat Geotour would be ending in early March. From Sydney it was a no brainer to do both. A host of characters conspired to make plans. Including drobbonz kimmy533 Kiwisteve2 and tessa-bella. The trip morphed multiple times but Adelaide was the goal for Leap Day.I spent the last one in Las Vegas.Sydney, Ballarat, Great Ocean Road, Adelaide, Flinders Ranges, Mildura and back to Sydney. TFTC
Just arrive to apollo bay today on new years eve. Spending g a few night holidaying with the geofamily. We enjoyed the walk around the rocks and I was left to carry the kids shoes. What a beautiful spot. Tftc cache and log in good order.
Checked cache today. Everything A-OK. B e careful on the rocks if you choose the beach route they are very slippery
Great hiding spot! We accessed via the caravan park even though we weren’t staying there. Just completed an overnight section of the great ocean walk further up. Lovely view next to the geocache!! TFTC
Day 14 of our Australia Tour 2023, travelling from Anglesea to Marengo. This one was very close to our campground.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Travelling around Australia in our caravan - this cache helped us explore Apollo Bay - found quickly - tftc
TFTC!! I thought I wasn’t going to be able to find this one. What a great spot to walk along and enjoy the coastal views
What a gorgeous spot to stop. No problems finding the cache, it's a bit damp after all this rain but not too bad. TNLN. TFTC, I'll just sit here for a moment...
Found it while staying at the caravan park.
Great hiding spot, we came while the tide was out but be very careful of the slippery rocks.
Grabbed the TB that was in the cache and will move it along this weekend.

I placed this guy way back on the 07 March 2017 only five years ago but seems longer, but as we all know that time changes and it has got to the stage that I have to either adopt my caches out or archive as I have a health problem that is only going to get worse.
Finally, I must thank my good friend Dromaniax for looking after this guy as it has got to the stage when I must pass it on and wish it good luck for the future. I know it is in good hands.
Thanks my friend.

Found it shortly with good coords. TFTC. Lovely scenic spot. Left a friend behind to continue his travels.
We were in the Apollo Bay area and decided to pop in and check out the caches we have recently adopted from Bushfire.
Everything is in place and ready to find.

Tide out, so dry hopping required. Walked back via the caravan park

Tftc Bushfire. Day 4 of 5 in the area and a short window of opportunity to hunt a couple of caches with the keenest of the geograndkids. A cool windy day and not the weekend so no problems with prying eyes. Still in good nick.
Headed off around the coast with Cowgirl_101. Dodged the waves and explored the rock pools. Loved this area and the power of the ocean being exhibited today. Headed up the beach to locate the cache and then realised it was a Bushfire cache. Looked around and thought OMG it could be anywhere. It was however a quick find which was a relief because there was a pretty big storm inbound. Thanks Bushfire for another wonderful hide. Cache in good condition and Log signed and replaced.
On our last day in Apollo Bay, we decided to take the Geomobile A'Tuina and the geodogs out for a trip. We love this stunning part of Victoria. There is a warning on at the car park saying the rocks are slippery. They are not joking. Mr Dromaniax set off to find the cache while Mrs Dromaniax took the geodogs for a wander on the beach to stretch their legs. As he was making his way to the cache Mr Dromaniax, slipped and fell on his side and part of his fall was broken by a long shallow rockpool, which was conveniently full of water. A couple of new bruises were acquired and then on to the cache. Being somewhat more careful with his footing Mr Dromaniax arrived at GZ a little wet, but no more falls. The cache was found surprisingly quickly for a Bushfire cache. The cache was in excellent condition, particularly given its exposed hiding spot. Thank you for another interesting cache Bushfire.
Probably came the wrong way through the Caravan Park. Never mind. Again, lovely view. TFTC.
Good find, exciting for our 4 year old!
We decided to find some gc after daycare pick up, so it was getting dark by the time we found it. We thought it couldn't possibly be on the rocks because of the location. I was a bit weary putting my hand into a spot where something could have jumped at me but overall lots of fun!
Grabbed something, left something and signed the book.
Thanks for the cache!

Very easy find once I worked out the way in through the caravan park. Beautiful morning on tbe rocks at Marengo. Thanks.
Lovely arvo out caching with dive wombat, sun has come out and enjoying some relaxing caching, nice quick and easy find. TFTC
Another early morning caching run, but a late start for me with the sun already above the horizon.
I expected this area to be pretty busy later, so I ensured that this was the first cache of the day. Parked down on the main road and then enjoyed parking along the beach and the rocks. Followed by GPS and took a look at the small little cave that is being formed here. Then asked myself the question "Where would I hide a geocache" and was then instantly signing the log book at 7.30 am
Thanks for the cache Bushfire

Geobride, Geodog and I decided to have a few days at Marengo. What a great location. This was a handy little cache close to the caravan park. Had to find this one with only Geodog, as the weather was against us. Great spot. TFTC.
Found on Sun 1st March. Wow this catch literally landed in my lap. I checked in to camp-site and went for a explore. We were right on the Beach. I sat down on a rock thought hmm let's see if there are any G. C here. Bingo right above my head. Coast was clear so reached up and grabbed it. Soon log was signed and has to be the nearest and easiest find for me. Tftc love the area.
Sorry for the extremely late log between my health and life I am behind in logging some days out caching.
Today AusFox; wanted to head down the coast for a cache or to and as so often happens the one or two turned into many.
We made our way on foot around the shoreline and as we approached GZ I spotted a likely spot making a quick find.
Thank you Bushfire for the hide

The weather was perfect for a caching trip down the Great Ocean Road with Simsfamily in search of great locations and great hides.
It was like a carpet of rock as we made our way around to GZ. The likely spot was soon located.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Bushfire

Families annual weekend away in Apollo Bay where my geocaching adventure started 6 years ago. Always good to get back here and clean up the map of the AB area. One day to do the 10 outstanding geocaches. Took the geograndduaghters and their muggling mum and dad to the Marengo beach. We wandered along in the afternoon sunshine and low tide foreshore across rocks and rock pools. Magical adventure for the primary kids - starfish, barnacles, fishies, squigglies, crabbies - everything bar the whales and seals. Rounding the bend with geogrand daughter holding the compass and directing her sister to the standing post. Somewhere near here...what about the strange looking rock under the tree root , perhaps that needs investigating. FOUND IT, GRABBED IT, OPENED IT, SIGNED IT, SWAPS (but only one swag item for one granddaughter so we need to find another one quickly) RETURNED IT, REPLACED ROCK. Fav Point to be added for being so family/kid friendly. CIGC TFTC Bushfire.
After attending the Mega in St Arnaud it was time to bring the van down to the Bay for a few days to enjoy the area and also to check on my caches in the area.
On checking this guy I discovered that something had chewed a huge hole in the botton and also through the plastic bag so return the following day and replaced with a temporary white container but the original log is enclosed.
Same location please replace the camo to keep it hidden from muggle view.

We’re on the road to adventure. A three day Light to Light hike, then some exploring in the Dandenongs before tackling the Great Ocean Walk, 105km over 8 days. Magic.
A brief detour and we nabbed this one.

I attempted to find it yesterday... got within 30 cm but didn't pick up the right bit of camo! Was sooooo annoyed with myself today when I found it! TFTC
Container has a hole but I don’t have a replacement with me. Log in good nick.
Make sure finders put the downwards to keep dry until a replacement s made.

A bit easy for a Bushfire cache methinks. Great location and hopefully hidden a bit better than the last finder. Thanks Legend!
Spending the weekend at the caravan park so took the opportunity in between rain showers to find this one. My son was thrilled to make the find while I was watching the wild waves coming close to us!!! Ah winter camping, always a joy!! TFTC
Found on a girls weekend with friends. Beautiful walk along the rocks .
Took geoswag coin and will move it on.
Thanks for placing this cache in such a beautiful spot.

Well the walk back from the nearby beacon was glorious today.
Luckily there was no-one around to interrupt my search.
Although it was a quick one.
I signed and was soon heading back to Lorne after a fun morning.

Today we arrived in Apollo Bay, and this was the first time I had premium here so it was time to check out some other caches. This one was very close to the caravan park so this one was first up. I've visited the rock pools lots of times and they are always amazing. It was a bit of a search before I found the cache, but I found it in the end. TFTC Bushfire
Found quickly while wandering around the coastline at Marengo, while staying at Apollo Bay. Took two TBs so they could continue their adventure.

Invigorated by our Cape Patton caving adventure we set a course to seek some local caches jointly unfound by au.fait and ourselves.
It was interesting to read the cache notes and realise how many of the original adventurers can now be recognised in road or locality names.
Sighted trackble: 'Lebenstraum' (TB7EH50 ) as it was placed in cache by au.fait.
Thanks to 'Bushfire' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.
