Beautiful weather so I decided to find some nearby caches, was passing photo opportunity and noticed the lid had been removed from the container. I went to check the contents were still in good tact and put the lid back on and the container was empty and the bag with pen was laying nearby. Very upset about this one as it was such a lovely one hope to see it back soon!
So excited to look for this one but unfortunately couldn't find it and then saw that another seeker noted it was damaged/missing. We'll try again next time in the hopes that it's back. Great spot though!
Found it!!! Cool friendly location, lots of muggles at nearby bar but other than that not much activity. The cache was found easily in cool spot but no log or tradables inside, I did find the camera and pen but didn't have time to use camera.
A beautiful spot and surprisingly not too many muggles around. Totally natural to take in the view and find a cache at the same time. Thanks chips n gravy
Found 4:53 pm. I was in Belconnen with not a lot to do so decided to see what new caches were around after grabbing something to eat. Pretty much figured this out when I hit the GZ location. I had to wait for a number of muggles to go past before I retrieved the cache. I like the container and the way the log is done it is cool. I signed the log and again trying to avoid scrutiny by muggles I returned the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Surprisingly few muggles around in this pleasant spot, so managed a quick unobserved find. A neat hide and TFTC chips n gravy
I have come to the ACT for a business conference and I have decided to stay at an AirBnB in Belconnen. Once I dropped my bag off, I then told my host I was off to find a cache. She insisted I wear more than just my jacket, so just to please her, I took my gloves, scarf and beanie. Thank goodness I did as a cold snap hit me as I was walking to this cache. Hooley dooley it was cold. Nice quick find, SL #3167 on streak day #1793 TFTC fav awarded
Nice quick find on a slightly chilly night, although I fear that there is more to come this winter. Like the container. All safe and dry. Tftc
#3324 - Nice easy find and impressive set up. Thanks to the CO **chips n gravy** who has established and maintained this great cache. I will go done to the chemist on Thursday to pick up my photos from the 126 camera. Although the film seem somewhat white with exposure (usually a mid brown). Most worthy of a favourite point.
I unfortunately disturbed a family of ducks in my search for this one. I love the cache itself an have since used it as a "gateway into geocaching" for several students at the nearby university.
It is currently missing a log, so I took a photo of it instead of signing.

Whilst the missus was doing a course at Bruce CIT I came over to Belconnen for a few caches. Spent a few minutes looking like a wierdo fossicking under the cramped bridge. Eventually found the cache after the gps settled. Liked the container for the log. TFTC.
Needed a quick find for today and I had scoped this one previously but didn't have a pen at the time. That turned out to be a good thing as I found this after sunset and so got to see the pretty lights on the water. Such an adorable cache too! Thank you very much for the cache.
I found the container, I found the photo opportunity, found the plastic bag the log used to live in, but I couldn't find the log book. Here is a photo of the plastic bag and view. Thanks chips n gravy
PS I didn't have any paper on me or I would have added it as a temp log. Sorry

Found in such a beautiful afternoon. This is the second such cammo I've found lately ... top recycling

Very clever and a very easy and uneventful find, despite the streams of muggles. I really think that if you ignore muggles and don't feel self-conscious, you become invisible to them. TFTC
Found with the geocousin was his second attempt
The protective bag is looking a little worse for wear
Cheers

Very nice simple find. Container was a nice idea. There was a cache here before in a post on the bridge. Sorry to see it gone. But glad such beautiful spot has a cache again. TFTC.
We were having a family picnic at the nearby John Knight Park. While the geo-grandkids were playing, Big Dad 57 went for a walk to look for this cache. I didn't hold out much hope, as there were lots of muggles taking advantage of the last of the lovely weather - as we all know, it's 'officially' cold in Canberra after ANZAC Day. GZ was located and the camouflage sussed out. After taking a photo or two there was a break in traffic. The cache was quickly retrieved and I love the 'adaptive reuse' practiced here. I walked away to sign the log, reset the container and during another break in the traffic replaced it.
I did a digital photography course at the nearby college a few years ago. If I can find the photos I'll post one to the gallery. In the mean time, here's one from today.
TFTC, chips n gravy, and worth a favourite point.

Cache 2458 on 14/4/17
After a longish walk earlier in the day, I still had some energy left so when an excuse to leave the house came up (a weak one of shopping) I jumped at the chance.
GZ was so busy!! The hide of all these people walking their hounds, and out for family bike rides! I spotted what I was looking for from a distance, but was amused when I found the cache inside! I think you are appealing to a retro audience there!
Anyway, nice fun one thanks!

After completing some retail therapy with FurfacesLL, we decided to head over to make a find since it had been almost 2 weeks since we both put our names in some logs.
Been to this location previously for the last cache so we knew where to park for the short wander over. The sun was dropping so we turned the torches on our phones and begun our search. After a minute or so, the penny dropped and we soon had the cache in hand. Nice unique container, fitting to the cache
Log signed and cache replaced. Thanks for the placement chips n gravy.

As one of the Furfaces team was home still fighting a lurgy FurfacesLL 1 headed out with RW on a hunting and gathering mission.
Since we had not found a cache in some time we decided we may as well pick up a cache as well while out and about.
Been to this location before to find another one.... this one was a little different but still in a nice location.
Quick sign and on our way as the temps sure had dropped tonight.

After a DNF at The Island, I walked straight up to this one. It is definitely a 1/1 . An interesting twist with the cache container.

Have to admit this area was quite photogenic this afternoon, sun was shining, and a small sail boat was using the artwork in the middle to weave in and out of! Spotted the cache instantaneously and made the sneaky long armed grab. Decided to dangle and enjoy the sunshine a little longer before heading off. Loved the container too, always fun!

After a morning walking around Black Mountain I came in here for one more. I had to check the hide from the last cache here first but then when in the right spot I saw what this one was all about and signed the log. Then had to wait till it could be safely returned.
Thanks.

Thursday 30 March - a cloudy warm Autumn morning in the low 20s out to keep my daily stats going by finding 1 from 2 caches searched. A very clever cache and hide. Worth a favourite point for the location, the concept and smart hide. TFTC chips_n_gravy.
12 students and 6 teachers went on a geocaching excursion this morning. The group split into 2 groups and had a competition with each other to find 4 local caches. Both teams found this cache and worked out how to open it quickly.
Woah I had no idea this cache was here. Usually I check the locations of caches as soon as I get the notification, but I was at work when this one came through and I forgot about the emails I received and never checked them out!
So we were in Belconnen and I was very surprised to see that there was a new cache at the bridge! I don't think I ever found the old one as it was missing when I looked.....
This one was a quick find however, a very sneaky hide though! I think this should last in this spot without getting washed away or muggled!
Smart cache, thanks chips n gravy for the surprise

Found 20:44 27/3/17 after the rain had passed. I identified the cache when walking to UC at lunchtime, but there were too many people around. It is a great container. Thank you chips n gravy for the cache.
Took a breather, didn't need to bring my own camera!
Great! ta.
Hector liked it too.

I put my kayak in the water about an hour before Sunset, and headed off to have another (unsuccessful) look for "Yeah Bouy" ... almost missed Sunset ... took some photos, then decided that even though it was dark I would come down here and see if I could find this cache, and take some photos of those weird things with lights, in the water - I took quite a lot of photos, found the cache, took even more photos, paddled past where I had not found another cache the day before and spotted that one from the water (where I thought I had looked - lol) - it was so calm and nice out here I paddled around for ages and was still out here on the lake until after Midnight!
If anyone is interested, some of the photos I took are in this blog post -

Oh ... and I just remembered - I actually uploaded all of the photos here -

TFTC - nice hide, but quick find ... nice view too, even if it was dark at the time - lol
I too have previously found another cache very close to here ... but I never got to log it online because I found it while caching with a premium member, and at the time I wasn't one yet, and I never got the GC number to log it the cheats way, or look it up now ...

Found on a walk through the park. A nice container that was opened very quickly.

A drizzly afternoon so no muggles around, therefore an easy quick find. TFTC.

A nice quick and fun find here! Overcast weather, so no photo opportunity today! The rain held off, so can't complain about that. Love the cache container - yes I vaguely remember those . Have found a cache right here before, so hopefully this one will have better luck! Thanks CNG!
*FTF* 4.54pm With dty73 and youban.
Was a bit of a rush ringing dty73 as I walked to the car. Seems she was slightly closer than me and arrived just before. Haven't seen one if these for a really long time! Found easily and log soon signed. Thanks for the cache!

*FTF* 4.54pm 24/3/2017. With dty73 close to breaking the sound barrier & aquilus1 close behind we managed to get a good picture of the cache. Loved the container. Thanks for the find. Kutgw
*ftf* 4:54pm was in the area and dashed off with Youban, Aquilus1 hot behind us. Love the container and photos are a great excuse for being in the area with muggles all around. Tftc!!!
