Out for a day of caching with CuriousQuest. We had a target cache for the day, but stopped to pick up this one on the way past. After checking various spots, we concluded where it must be. Neither of us were tall enough to reach, so CuriousQuest returned to the geomobile to get a suitable tool to assist. Once back at GZ, the tool was deployed and we soon had the cache in hand, along with a lot of ants. We added our name to the log, returned everything as found, then continued on our way. TFTC
Out for a day of caching up the coast with Selva Girls. We headed out and found an assortment of different types of caches and this was one of them. All caches were found easily enough and once the log was signed; all were returned as found. TFTC
Passed by this spot hundreds of times and never stopped. Thanks for the history I always wondered what this area was. A good quick find but omg watch out for the ant nest I got swarmed
easy find with Woodwahdi. greatful for all these easy twin waters caches! tftc.
Up for a week from Wintery Victoria with LittleBoss2 to visit her daughter. So, while they're at work, LB2 and I had an easy choice to fill in our day. LB2 did the necessary work to get to it. Thanks again Duppers
A week away in Sunny Qld with my fav person Bogonghazy. Week away visiting my gorgeous daughter and partner. Hoping to get a whole lot more while we are here in sunny Qld. Thanks for placing the geocache
Very well hidden in a spot I had previously ruled out. Thanks for cache.Container and log is in decent condition
Looked all over the item indicated in the hint. Can't see anything. Not inclined to try further afield. This may need a check.
Out for a day of caching in the Twin Waters area. Needed a bit of a boost to find this one. Lots of ants! A sneaky little hide, TFTC
Logged and placed back. Super nice spot. Added googly eyes from a geocache down the road. No pen thats ours
Had to climb my cousin kept arguing that he is taller Im literally one foot taller then him but nice quick easy find
I was here last year on our annual trip from Melbourne when I was at this cache I had no TOTT to use but I still got ants all over me trying to get at it so came back now and success, soon had my hand on the cache and not to many ants.TRTC
We stand exactly at the point, but couldn't find it. Looked around...nothing. pity...
Greetings from Germany Felsmaus.

leigh7900 I found your cache Twin Waters Vier on 14/7/2022, 1:35 pm. This is my find 3752 and find # 9 today. Knew where it was but the question was how do I reach it. Found necessary TOTT near by. Got up there but still had troubles retrieving it and the ants didn’t help. Back to the car for another TOTT and this time retrieved and signed and replaced for the next Cacher. Still getting bit by those damn ants as I was returning to the car. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Deffo need to climb or be lifted to reach this one. Watch out for the ants. Nice to finally find a dry log book. Tftc
Definitely very filled ants
But bring two people or be good at climbing to be able to reach and put it back

A drive to the sunshine coast with Willis007 and Bella (geodog) to continue collecting caches on the sunshine coast LGA. Today was to continue with the Sunshine coast LGA challenge and to support E smileys Celebration event. We worked our way around the coastal areas collecting caches and spending time at caches that were not there . It was a fun day and will still have to come back again to this area to finish off the challenge.
After the event, we set off to conquer more caches in the area while working our way back home. We made our way down to Twin waters and saw a group of caches that we could have some fun with. This was a little fun and I boosted Willis007 to new heights to get this one, and in payback I got a shower of ants. We signed the log and replaced all as found, then continued on with our journey around here. Thanks for the cache, all good with this one, and a favourite point here thanks.

On the lovely Sunshine Coast today for the Community Celebration Event with chamad and geopup, we stopped at some target caches on our journey south towards Brisbane.
After a bit of searching, we realised where we needed to look. Definitely need a friend, and be quick because there's plenty of ants.
After signing the log, it was quickly returned
Thanks rbutto and leigh7900 for placing and maintaining the cache.

Not to hard to locate where the cache might be, but with geowife back at the holiday home in Coolum this was going to be difficult. I saw a couple of likely lads walking by and cajoled them into climbing up and into the ant infested hide. A quick discussion about caching and my two new ex muggle friends were seemingly hooked. Gotta love caching, right!
Yes there are ants! Thankfully my muggle-hubby was along for the bike ride and he hoisted me to the cache location.
Interesting story. It’s not just the 2000’s that we have floods!!
Signed the log and hubby, who is much taller than my 5”2’ was able to re-hide the cache. TFTC

Been at the Barra park stopped here for a quick find..
Was gonna give up on this one then read some logs while my mother decided to stir up the ants with a stick oh great thanks mum.
After read some logs I new what had to be done and trust me it wasn’t done with any class that’s for sure.
Got the cache yay.. as others have said the log was damp I replaced with a whole new logbook. Now to get it back in its my home mum was very amused.
Thanks for the cache.

We were not tall enough to reach the cache. The cache was guarded by an ants nest. Thanks anyway
An easy find when looking down from above but getting above is the challenge. The log is very damp and needs replacing. The cache might need a tether before it becomes unreachable. TFTC
Up next, retrieving this bugger was harder than spotting it! Once at GZ I used my bike to get some elevation, only to find a great swarm of ants defending the cache at all costs! I went back and forth up the bike-ladder, assessing my options for a few seconds only to retreat down to brush the unpleasant locals off. After trying a natural TOTT which was unsuccessful, I decided to rip the bandaid off and go straight in, grabbing the cache quickly then drive all the defendants off my hands. After the log was signed and negotiations with the ants sorted, the container was returned to them, and I was off! Might want to move this one elsewhere CO, but the challenge was still enjoyable, thanks rbutto and leigh7900!
While staying at Bli Bli van park had the opportunity to go and find some caches. This one needed me to obtain a TOTT to have a find and then spent much time getting rid of the little black ants off me that were in plague proportions Thanks for the caches.
Spending a couple of nights at Cooroy, caching in the Sunshine Coast area. Spectacular coastal views or mountain views from most areas that we travelled. Throw in a couple of ALs plus a few caches & its made for an enjoyable stay in your area.
Luckily we had the right TOTT in the car. A good location to have a cache.
Thankyou leigh7900 for placing this cache.

Visiting this lovely district from the Gold Coast with geo friends hatzofff, RoddyC and grannysmith 1947.
The further up we venture it just gets more beautiful, a nice quick find was enjoyed here after we found a handy ToT to make our job easier.

Must be a flood coming as the ants are protecting this like crazy. Height alert! Definitely need to be tall or have long arms and be prepared to come out covered in ants. Tftc
Giving this a heart due to the unique coolness of it. The 3 mango trees I remember as a kid. I am 62. They were that big when I was 10. So they must be old. Tftc
I remember chilling here with the family as a kid, long before i discovered geocaching. Had a little help from my two wheeled friend.
Thanks for keeping a cache alive here!

Needed a hand for this one as I wasn’t quite there loved this ones placement TFTC
Thanks for maintaining this one, Leigh . We had great fun running around the mango- strewn grounds counting all the fruit the lucky flying foxes have been gorging themselves on. Guess the dry weather has been good for something, mango flowers notwithstanding. Great hide too! TFTC
Straight across the road from our overnight accommodation. It could really do with a new log book.

On the way back to Brisbane after visiting my mum I always treat myself to a few smileys. Today I brought my bike and parked nearby . This was my first out of 8 today and total of 10km ride. My bike was a great help in retrieving this cache. Wow that was a big flood. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
At GZ, I thought I knew where the cache would be, and then standing back and looking from afar, I thought I could see something suspicious.
But how to get there, as I am a little vertically challenged. Looking around for a TOTT or similar, revealed nothing. So it comes down to the old "brute force" method ie jump and pull myself up. The problem is, I'm not as young and agile as I once was, and certainly not as light!! But, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and surely not a cache retrieved!!
A quick short jump and a quick heave and a very quick grab had the cache in hand!!
After doing the required paperwork, now to replace it from whence it came.
But that's a story for another day..............

2:48:00 PM, Found a spot to park and wandered over. Guessed where the cache should be and reached around till I felt something out of place. Grabbed it out to find my arm covered in black ants. Cleaned them off and opened container to find it full of water. Drained it out. Luckily the log was well sealed in a bag and wash still dry. Log signed and resealed. Thanks for the cache leigh7900
I’m 5’3”. I got it all by myself. A bit proud of that. I’d given the trees a very thorough search first though ️
It was good that I didn’t come for this one on my own hubby has big hands and I am a lightweight! Log was wet so put a dry log and a little bag along with the wet bag. Our last cache for 2018 and a good one it is. TFTC

Thursday. Wow! The waters got THAT high! After searching for a short while, we read a previous log which indicated where we should be really looking. I must have been part monkey today. Managed to find heaps of ants! The ants didn’t like me intruding on their turf and were getting themselves into alarm mode and were now hyperactive. Getting Mrs RIO to sign the log pronto, we headed off with me smelling of phenylacetic acid.
This was the 11th of 12 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***rbutto***, for showing us this place.

I'm out and about with Mrs Slow Puncture today, we have a few target caches to get on the lovely (but rainy) Sunshine Coast
We had a good idea of where the cache was hiding, so Mrs SP took one for the team and battled the ants to get to the cache container. I'm glad the water wasn't that high today, because I didn't have my gum boots with me. TFTC rbutto

Tuesday adventures with my amazing GeoWife and I out on a cache hunt. This was one of a few we found. Great hide and location! TFTC!
Found with geohubby WallabyTim as we enjoyed our walk from the furthest cache back to the car. It was interesting to read the sign and learn something about the local area, in a place we otherwise never would have stopped. TFTC
Ride past this cache a few days a week so chance today to visit a couple of TB's that I picked up in NZ.
Had to wait out an extremely heavy rain period under the shelter, but nevertheless we found the cache. TFTC
Somewhat amused, or maybe perplexed is a better word, why somebody would remove a log and leave the cache. Anyway log replaced. TFTC Fam Riddo.
TNLN the container is completely empty. Most likely muggles being annoying
Cheers

With today’s play washed out I was able to turn my attention to picking up a few finds.
I was just able to grab this one.

Only a few more finds to go till we get to 5000 - so picking up a few stray and new caches today to get to the magic number. This was our second time here, but this time we came prepared with the right equipment. We were able to make a quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
