Long steep road to beach, we could actually see this spot from the last cache and suspected that was where we were heading....what goes up must come down so a bit of a slog back up after a quick find at GZ thanks to a good hint!Nice walk along the Bibbulmun....one of the few sections we have not completed yet so gave us a taste of our future journey coming up soon.Spent the day cycling, hiking around the area collecting smilies. In the end we did approx 8kms mostly hiking along some beautiful trails with some gorgeous ocean views and collected 8 smilies with 0 DNFs.Thank you Tedrick for placing and maintaining Construction Site for us and others to find and enjoy.
The Cache has now been repaired. Too good a cache to leave broken and we happened to have a tool kit and supplies with us. Mind you did like the creative idea of Mrs riddell . While geohubby plied his trade, geohound and I enjoyed nature's best. Tftc
It seems that this cache has been missing its bottom end and therefore log as well since 11/9/2022 and even so everybody has been claiming a find! Really? This cache needs some urgent maintenance it has been mentioned before too!
MIA ..last visitor obviously did not replace the lid. Cache/log have dropped vertically never to be seen again!Mrs Riddell noted the hide immediately at GZ, and was excited to pull it out vertically until the bottom and log were missing. Creatively she quickly pulled one of many bandaids from her shorts pocket signed and dated it and stuck it to the cache housing job done. Now about to notify the CO as just come off the Bibbulmun Track and have power to play with.TFTC. Very nicely crafted, but unfortunately someone has stuffed it up.
TFTC. I think I might get the sack from being a navigator. I led my husband down the track in our Nissan patrol to find several cars and trailers plus another car wanting to come back up. We pulled into a safe spot with my help and I ran and found the cache and we quickly departed.
Out for a morning walk in this awesome area, collecting some caches! Quick find here, tftc!
This beach is absolutely stunning. The info provided by you was so interesting, I just can’t imagine what it must have been like back then to build a ship on a beach that is so isolated. A favourite point from me. TFTC
Brilliant trek to find a very interesting historical geocache in a gorgeous sunny day
Love this hide. It's always exciting to find something a bit different. Thanks for putting in the extra effort. Log is in good condition.
Exploring the southwest a little more today, amazing too see so much water around I guess it is winter however I don’t think when I was living down here it was ever like this.
Took to some tracks that I wasn’t able to get to before, all up a great day out with more to come tomorrow.
Safe to say the cache is in great condition here. As I almost fell backwards I reached out and heard it rattle. I thought, at least I don’t need to look for it anymore

Down in Albany with C10 and headed out towards Denmark testing the capabilities of his new 4wd. Found a good variety of caches, but the rain made it a bit slippery. Had to dodge a fair few puddles on the trails today.
Thanks for the fun.
Thanks for the fun.
Sight also used as abit of a toilet, so was not keen to send kids scrounging for it
Muggles about.... then a big noise in the grass scared me into worrying about snakes
This one stumped me for a while, was debating leaving but that is a bit boring, so persisted! Haven't seen one like this before, loved it! Plus caught tarwhine, flathead and herring = great morning!
We are on our 5week holiday travelling the coast to enjoy the sunshine and water. Along our travels we made a few stops to explore the area and grab a few caches .
Nice quick find whilst looking at the local beaches.
Nice quick find whilst looking at the local beaches.
Found while staying at cosy corner for a few days while on our lap of Aust. Cache and log in good condition. Thanks for the cache
Finally getting around to logging several caches i havn't had a chance too! They have all been fun as always, found with hally4 TFTC
Out and about with kiwinic today searching for a few caches, another reasonably quick find here. TFTC
In Denmark for a few days but with the drizzly rain ongoing we hadn't been out exploring too far.
Today was fine so headed over to Cosy Corner but had to rush back as we had arranged a meet up with roymerc so no time to do any extended walks today.

Fantastic story. Thanks for taking the time to tell it. Clever hide. Very nice beach for a swim.
Love this cache very clever, but not clever enough! Quick find with Leg5 and Wg. Tftc
Very nice cache in a beautiful spot! Found this after a lovely chat over a cuppa with the CO and some locals and hope to see many more crafty caches like this in the near future
Thanks for the cache Tedrick and for the cuppa
Thanks for the cache Tedrick and for the cuppa
Interesting bit of history Tedrick, beautiful scenery and a cleverly crafted cache a fave point for bringing us here.
Pretty sure we have been to this beach for another cache many years ago. Took the Patrol all the way to the beach to find it deserted. Didn't take long to suss out the very well engineered camo. Well done Tedrick
Very late log sorry. This is the first geocache my cousins have seen, and it was a fantastic introduction to a fantastic game, TFTC.
A favourite beach when we are down this way, but on this occasion there were 20+ cars with trailers and 1 tractor!! Thought we knew where the cache should have been but we couldn't see it.
We walked down the track not knowing what was below. I ended up driving the car down to pick up the kids. Really great cache at a great location. Might return. Tftc, a fav from us!
After stopping for some lunch at Cosy Corner, we drove around to this spot. Parked the car at the top and walked down the gravel road to the beach below. Beautiful spot and obviously a popular one for fishing. Gave the kids a bit of a history lesson, and while the fisher folk were busy casting, made a quick find. Walked along the beach in order to sign the log, and sneakily replaced on our way back. TFTC and for bringing us to this great spot.
Walked down the track to a nice little beach. Learnt all about the history from the cache page. It was very interesting. TFTC
We too had to wait for the locals to drag a boat out of the water and up the hill before sneaking in for the find. Great location for the cache though there has been one here before.
Had to be sneaky with a couple a fishers nearby managed a nice quick find and took it back to the car to sign the had to wait a few minutes before I could return it without being noticed. TFTC

Driving a small rental car? Yes we were ready for the challenge, nothing compared to the challenges faced by the folk mentioned in the comprehensive cache notes. We had to feign some fossicking for shells near GZ while we waited for a family of beach goers to head off home. It was not long before the cleverly concealed cache was in hand - a favourite point for creativity and location.
Satellites today had our GZ 8 metres south of where we found the cache.
Thanks Tedrick for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

After getting the FTF on Arduous Journey I made my way down to the boat ramp to make another find in a familiar location. On arrival I had the place to myself and made a quick find. Once again a FTF.
While signing the cache I noticed a young fella making his way along the rocks to the north with his fishing gear. Great. Sat in the car for a while reading the attachments hoping he would continue on which he did.
Safely out of sight and it was time to return the container.
Thanks for another fantastic cache and history lesson Tedrick.
Cheers
