Fun cache, easy find for the last day of school holidays with the minis. TFTC!
Out for our usual Sunday walk and found along the way. So great having local caches. TFTC
I took the train out to Paraparaumu for a golf date. I am early, but I planned for this and brought my bike along. So I sort of did a loop around town before heading out towards the golf corse to do more.So I stopped by here. By the way it's supposed to rain today. Didn't. But rained a lot yesterday and the kneeling I did here got my trousers all muddy. But that's what washing machines are for, right?! And the golf? I completed my round of nine with a score of seventy-five! Frigging AWESOME!! Supergolfingman!! (hey, it is my second ever game, and the last one was over thirty years ago!). My golfing partner got similar so we were well matched
Quickly found after searching on hands & knees. Path surface is a bit rough though
Last find of a very long day. Many thanks for all the caches Flowerydaze. The ride around QEII Park and up the Expressway was most enjoyable.
Was out bike riding this great track along the motorway and stopped for a couple of caches. GPS was slightly off but commonsense prevailed and cache located.
Quite a busy walkway today. Was able to retrieve and replace in between passing muggles. TFTC.
Out and about in today's freezing southerly, doing a few geocaches just to stay warm! Parked the geo-mobile as close as we could then strolled up the small hill to GZ. Cache was a nice easy find sitting just as the hint described it.

A friend lives near here so I took her with me, she was delighted to find her first ever geocache while I was looking in completely the wrong spot! Thanks for the cache Flowerydaze.
Making my way north to Wanganui tonight (from Wellington) with plenty of time and as I had stopped nearby for another cache I decided to come and look for this one too. All quiet along the path tonight, I didn't see anybody as I made my way to the final location. It didn't take long to locate the cache where it was. All good here, thanks to the CO for the cache.
Enjoying another bike ride on the Expressway trail with friends on a perfect day. On hands and knees and didn't take long to locate. Thanks Flowerydaze.
Out for a short bike ride around the area later in the day, this was my first cache today, all good here cheers
A sunny day stroll along the cycle path. Found after a short hunt. All good, tftc flowerydaze !
Quick find this morning. Cache didn't have its 'cloak' of cover so once the log duties were completed returned as in the cache page information.
Thanks for the cache and hide.
Thanks for the cache and hide.
Mr rattll parked up near by and stayed with the car in case he needed to move it, while Mrs rattll made the quick dash to find the cache.
Found it quickly enough although it wasn't covered by a piece of wood.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find.

Just had word from a helpful cacher that this one has been found nearby damaged and with no log. I'll replace it tomorrow so disabling in the meantime.
Container and log sheet replaced. It's now a camoed micro. A geo sign will be the indicator. Please re-hide well.
Found along a nice stretch of cycleway; pleasure to be out on a Saturday afternoon after the rain. Cache in good shape. Thanks
Today had been forecast to bit a bit wet, but when I woke it looked as if any rain might hold off for a few hours so I reckoned that was a good enough reason to jump in the car and come down to Paraparaumu to try to boost my numbers for September!
I've had it in my mind for a while that I want to cycle this track alongside the expressway in order to grab all the caches along the way. But as it happens I seem to have acquired most of them simply from random visits like today. Just a handful of them remained for me to find before today, and now there's one fewer.
Having approached from Raumati Road, it was a very quick find for me here as I spotted the hide as I was walking up towards GZ. Everything was fine with the cache and its contents, so the log was swiftly signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Quick find under cover of darkness today...
There were still a surprising number of muggles out for a walk!!
However I was patient and and waited til the coast was clear
Signed the nice dry log and replaced as found. TFTC!

Day Ten of a 12 day, 3000 km road trip around the North Island with the primary objectives being the Taupo Ultra Marathon on the 13th and my first ever caching Mega event in Wellington on the weekend of 20th & 21st. With thousands of possibilities for caches to look for on the way, I had to be very selective and decided to concentrate on special types, solved puzzles, ones that would fill missing spots in my statistics grids and those with good numbers of favourite points, plus maybe a few extras that were close by those.
Today was the second Mega event day and after attending the Kevin Anderson pilgrimage event and finding the oldest NZ cache, plus the remaining lab caches, we headed north to Kapiti to catch up with our daughter. Another nice day today and still no sign of any rain to interfere with caching activities. An amazing streak of weather.
I needed eighteen more caches further than 500 kms from home for the so far away challenge, so set out on a local mission to try and get them in the two hours before our dinner appointment. Next up was this one, and after pulling up reasonably nearby, jogged along the trail to the bridge. Cache was quickly found in hint location, log signed and returned safe and secure, ready for the next finder. TFTC

On a Sunday afternoon walk with the geohound. Located this one with little difficulty as the traffic whizzed by on the expressway. #1950. TFTC.
A quick find after a short walk from a good parking spot at the end of Rata RD where it joins Raumati Road. Great weather today and no muggles for miles. TFTC
Had a look for this between muggles today...
Couldn't locate it so have up after about 10mins - sorry to be the first DNF

This was a nice quick find on a pleasant walk. I retrieved the Polly the Parrot Travel Tag that started its journey in Czechia (which now seems to be the name of the country that we used to refer to as the Czech Republic). I will look to soon place it in another suitable cache. TFTC, Flowerydaze.
My third visit to the Kapiti EWY shared walking and cycling track. This time we started at the southern end and then cycled north to the point we had reached on our last visit. Finding caches as we went. This was one of those.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.
A straightforward find. Cache all in order.
Log signed, then cache safely re-hidden, just as found.

Auf dem Weg von Wellington nach New Plymouth sammelten wir die Dosen am Wegesrand ein. Diese konnten wir gut finden. Danke fürs Legen.

A quick visit to a school in the area with then time to locate a cache or two before heading home . first where to park?? well i was cheeky and parked at entrance of the walk way under the trees. Then i walked up to the path way and to the bridge, waited for a family to pass by and then i could retrieve it, sign it and again waiting for a walker to pass before returning it to its hide. Thanks for the cache and another smiley face.
I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
After staying at Greytown and spending another day in the Wairarapa, it was time to head to The Hutt area.
Son number two got dropped off at the airport. Hubby got picked up.
I needed to get the Camper's clutch checked out at Miro Auto Repairs. Once we got the all clear it was time to continue our adventure. We stayed in Paraparaumu last night.
Hubby stayed at the campground and chilled out, while I went biking and geocaching. Win, win.

Thanks. Flowerydaze for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5469 for me.

Thanks. Flowerydaze for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5469 for me.
I have had this cache on my radar before but never managed to work out quite where to park. This time, once I accepted that there was no shame in parking a little further away, I had no problems. Enjoyed the stroll to GZ. TFTC .
A really enjoyable cycle ride with the EU Crew and drawp allowed us to collect a few caches en route. TFTC
An afternoon in Parparaumu with Mrs Popmac to visit her auntie. Straightforward find here. Thanks Flowerydaze for the cache.
Staying in Raumati for a couple of days. Parked up on Matai road and went for a walk along the new cycle way and looped back down Kiwi Road. Nice quick find to start the walk. Thanks for the cache.
Cache # 3,943 - A very quick find today, thankfully after an earlier DNF today. TNLNSL. TFTC!

For such a nice day I had surprisingly few muggle problems but when I got here they arrived thick and fast. I spotted the cache reasonably quickly and ducked in quickly to retrieve it then did a similar manoeuvre to return it. I ended up with something icky on my hands and I'm not sure I want to know what it was! TFTC.
A quick park 'n' grab, but from Raumati Road, hoping to come back and do the trail properly by bike sometime soon. Nice container, and a good hide, thanks.
Out and about with my family visiting from Turangi before the rain arrives. This cache is probably the closest to my house but have saved it until now. My granddaughter soon had it in hand. TFTC
Out on a nice sunny winter's day with my wife for a bike ride of the Expressway cycle trail. This one nice and easy near the start of the ride and caching.

Had to go to Otaki today and the weather was excellent, so I put the bike in the vehicle and set aside some time to find some caches along the new expressway. A quick find here in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC
Thanks for the cache. This is our find number 720 and we found it at 11:51:02 AM NZST on 28 May 2017 while out exploring the new Expressway walking paths
1.40pm. A brisk walk between showers to find four caches in this part of the trail.
Quick find here.
Thank you. David.

Found on a delightful cycle ride from Poplar Avenue to Pekapeka and return. An interesting ride and which will become quite plesant as the planting grow. TFTC
A bit too easy -cache was rather exposed. But it did have a pencil in it, so no need for a photo Excellent container too -much more weatherproof that a Sistema. Signed, returned and carefully camouflaged.
We had missed this one on our cycle-cache mission the other day, so geokid no. 2 and I walked down from home to find this one quickly on ANZAC day evening. TFTC
I returned this afternoon to explore the Expressway Shared Pathway. A good excuse to get out and enjoy the autumnal sunshine. A nice accurate set of coords made for a reasonably quick find here. Cheers and TFTC
I was driving past on Raumati Road and I remembered that there was a cache nearby, so stopped to go take a look. After a bit of a walk got to the GZ and soon had it in hand. TFTC
#9058. A good walk along the M2PP Shared Pathway beside the new State Highway 1 in Raumati Beach on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We started from Poplar Avenue. There were quite a few cyclists and other walkers on the pathway. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Find #2761. Today was my first experience of the Kapiti Expressway cycle way. Arrived at Waikanae on the first train of the day out of Wellington and cycled up a very quiet (old) State Highway One to Pekapeka to join the cycle way.
No doubt there will be more caches appearing north of here (and further south) in due course - a good excuse to cycle this more than once!
Despite an inclement weather forecast, the day turned out to be very pleasant with plenty of others out enjoying the walk.
Thirteenth find of the day SL TFTC

Visiting my sister across the road and thought it would be rude not to do this one. T4TCSL
Nice quick find with little blue hen. Apart from two female cyclists with helmets on handlebars the path was ours to enjoy. TFTCSL
My experience here was basically identical to that of Mermaid.Man.
Seems tmann421 may not be the only one to have also thought of a cache here that didn't get published, take a look at the suspicious looking marks on the power pole!
Had to be cautious here owing to the length of time it took to spot what should have been easy and the fact that I had to fit it in between cyclists passing by.
TFTC.

A quick find while retrieving the caches on the southern part of the expressway path. A nice hide. All in order. TFTC
Hooray! FTF at 9.25pm.
After seeing these new caches published this evening I thought I'd investigate a couple of them before heading to work.
Upon arriving at the coordinates I thought I knew straight away where the cache would be, but couldn't put my hands on it. After wandering around investigating a few less likely looking places I returned to my first idea and this time quickly found the container.
Thanks very much for the cache.

Nice easy find - I have been really slack here and have 27 caches hidden along the pathway that I haven't put up for publishing yet - this one was between 2 caches, I have removed one but the other one is about 90 meters south of this hide and will get it another (not raining) day. SL TFTC
