Found with the CO nearby. TFTC.

Temporary disable after it became waterlogged. Will see if this was the best location for it...

TFTC. Very wet log. Difficult if you plan to ride.

Rainbow Spirit went the right way at GZ and made the find. The logbook was very wet.

TFTC.

We parked near the servo, and walked down the road to GZ.

When I found the cache, the log was damp, but usable. The container is missing an O ring, and there was no baggie.

Really pretty, log wet

I love a crafty afternoon so this was a must find on my list.

Parked nearby and walked the 200m or so to the cache.

It was a bit pongy here today but the bright colours but a smile on my face

Find #: 1,516
Companions: None
Muggles: None
Weather: Lovely autumn afternoon
Cache condition: Log wet

My daughter had a karate competition at the school just opposite this cache. The wait for her start was endless, so I decided to go for a quick walk. I crossed the road, with some hoons hooting at me as they passed. Once at GZ I soon deduced the likely hiding spot, and retrieved the container. The log is sadly wet, presumably as water can still drip onto this location, but I was able to make my mark. TNLN, TFTC

Ahh what a fabulous container, a match for the shelly one that we found earlier Smile a bit freaky riding/finding caches next to a main road but we managed. Please tell me Team MavEtJu, where does one find such sturdy containers? Very Happy

I did the dirty work in my cycling cleats. Misspalot enjoyed the container and made sure I didn't fall into the drink! Thanks for the cache!

Nice container. Bit of a tricky road with kids but crossed safely in the end. Picked up a track able and swapped some trades. TFTC

After the heavy "month's worth of rain in a day" prediction thwarted our weekend away camping, we decided to stay at home. Of course, it turned out to be nice & sunny! Anyway, we decided to go and find a few local caches today, this being one of them. We parked at the suggested parking and set off towards GZ. We searched for a track but soon realised we had to walk along the cycle track next to a very busy road. There were lots of cyclists using the track too and we didn't feel comfortable getting in their way but could see no other way of getting to the cache. I guess at other times it might be a lot quieter but I don't think the child friendly attribute applies unless you really don't like your children! Wink
Exchanged TB's. TFTC

I've replaced it with a different type of craft which should deal better with the environment.

13/05/17. 9:11 AM. Cache #5008.
5th of 6 finds - Penshurst, Illawong, Sylvania, Sylvania Waters, Woolooware, Taren Point.

After getting "5 Sports", my next two targets were the final ones in the Crafty Containers series; the last two that got published. Seeing as Taren Point is on the way home, I decided to leave 'Shells' for last, so I headed over here next.

I parked at the recommended WP and walked along the road towards GZ; when I was about 50m out it became obvious which feature I'd need to be searching. When I got closer, the various footprints in the sand were evidence that other cachers had already been around. I got down for a closer look and made an easy find.

3 days after SMS & A44 mentioned the paper "starting" to suffer, I'd say the process is almost complete with very little paper left on the container at all. Perhaps a next try might involve papier mache around an "inner" container? Anyway, all was dry inside. SL, replaced and went back to the car, noticing the petrol was cheaper down here so taking advantage. OK, time for 'Shells' before heading home. TFTC.

After helping YGAT set up for an event at Gymea Tradies, I drove down to pick up the cache at the Sharks ground which was muggled last time I was here. I wandered on to grab this one and must have missed KRS by about 30 mins.

I won't repeat the reports of previous logs regarding the state of the container with respect to the lack of crafty material Smile.

Interesting spot for a cache, thanks Team MavEtJu.

Okay, I'll rescue this one and make something else from it.

I had to drop the car in for a service this morning. This was one of a number of caches that popped up while I was away. I parked in the nearest car park and did the walk in. With trucks whizzing by I ventured towards GZ. A short search brought up the hide. The Papier-mâché is starting to suffer the rigors of the environment. Signed the log and rehid. TFTC Team MavEtJu.

Needing a cache on my way home to keep my streak alive. Definitely not child friendly GZ, and the smell masked that of my 12hr shift body odor.
Paper is coming away from container already.
Cheers

Covered in paper macheeOn a lovely sunny day it was time to do some geocaching with geoson and on his suggestion we headed to Kurnell where he had selected ten caches to seek. The last of our nine finds for the day and I loved the papier mache; hope it doesn't get wet. TFTC Team MavEtju.

More aromatic mangroves at low tide. Knelt for this one. TFTC.

Great container on a great day to geocache. A shame this is not the nicest of locations.

Found at 1700 with geodog. Tricky crossing the road at this time of day. Container blends in well with camo. Pity it smells when the tide is out like it was this arvo.

I like the effort gone into making these containers by the CO. That's all of them found now. TFTC and the series.

[FTF] at 4.30pm with thenkengreen and serenity girl.

Spent the day with geocaching friends fresh off the plane from Texas. Took them to Australia's first cache, cuddled Koalas, bought Tim Tams, then did the Cronulla Esplanade walk to burn off lunch. Back in the car we noticed this one had been published - maybe an Aussie FTF for them as well?

Thankfully the local contingent were all otherwise occupied, allowing them to claim a FTF as part of their first day in Australia.
