Checked on this today and it is definitely not there. Will organize a replacement soon.
Spent a decent amount of time hunting but could not find it. Have let the CO know we couldn't find it and they will check if it is in place.
I knew where to look as soon as I got here. Thought I was in Blenheim for a minute there. TFTC
Was very pleased to get one trad in Palmerston North near where I stayed the night.
On a big road trip with Lis from Lis's Crew ...to relocate a car ; and pick up some solved puzzle finals .
Luckily I discovered this method of hiding a cache when in Blenheim once,..... caching with nette1234; so it wasn't a problem!

Came back again after finding another one at a bus stop. Success this time around
A spider has made his home in this cache so be careful not to disturb it too much.
I'm really glad to have this one done. Turns out I had been looking at the right locations but not specifically this right location.
T F T C all7ofusnz.
I ran into Capperz yesterday and he suggested a Palmy caching trip after work the next day. We had no set plan so on the road we found a first location and then basically made our way East across town finding, for me, seven caches of good quality and about nine Adventure Lab stages - finally finishing two also. It's good to be able to get out while the light and weather is still good in the evening.

Bus stop, bus stop - The hollies,The GZ was nice & quite on a Sunday morning. Was with Crystal Fairy as we headed up to Palmerston North for a weekends caching. TFTC
Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache
With Flowerydaze on a caching trip from Kapiti. This was on our list on a very cold and windy day. This was our first trip since lockdown and it was nice to be able to get out once more. Thanks for the cash all7ofus
This was actually the first real caching outing for Talla64 and I since the most recent Covid lockdown was lifted, and the day was not the best. Very cold and windy. However we made a plan for PN and came up from Kapiti to find some caches. I'm pleased to say it was a quick find by Talla, bt he had a bit of trouble extracting it from its hiding place. Thanks for the cache, no-one arround today to witness our activities.
We parked and let the kids find this one. They were unsuccessful. Hint for future hunters, you need to be dads height to recover this one. TFTC

Had a busy day at work so had to head out after dark to try and keep my streak going. Day 91. It’s also been raining so this cache undercover proved a good pick. Love the snug sneaky hide. Thanks for the smiley.
well this one took us ages to find
searched and searched and finally squirrel nutcase came up with the goods

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and family... We ditched the family - they wanted to go to the markets and shopping, and we wanted to go caching - an easy solution...
This hide contained just enough grief to cause us frustration... We spent several minutes combing over the location with the proverbial fine tooth comb - by this, we mean we searched with our cucumber sized fingers. This was not easy! When we thought we’d covered the entire structure, new areas emerged. Naturally, the cache had to be there (insert swear words)... Thanks all7ofusnz and TFTC.

Thought we were actually going to have to catch a bus because we were looking for so long
A fp for this as it is so well hidden thank heavans the bus stop wasnt full of people
we are out trying our mt bikes out and what better place than the Remutaka rail trail.
This area is so full of rail way history an the things people did many years ago just to help the wheels of the industry to keep going around
many thanks

Day three of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. Aah, what would a caching trip be without a BSC. Found after a short search. TFTC, Biggles.
(# 5210). It dawned a lovely day. Big question. Go to work or do a bit of caching in Palmy. Given I am writing this you can tell which way I went. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
I'm pretty picky about apostrophes, myself, so had to check this one out on our way around the area sleuthing. TFTC
This was a start of a full day caching trip from New Plymouth to complete the next two souvenirs for the Mystery at the Museum. Palmerston North was the nearest and best option to get the caches we needed as we had very few left to do in Taranaki.. By the end of day, soon after sunset we had managed to complete the souvenirs. Thanks to all the CO's who gave us that opportunity. This was a good hide with a well fitted and dry cache. Thank you.
Out of hibernation and a road trip was in Order so the team came down from taranaki to do some detective work for the museum TFTC clever wee hide
Out on a sunny day to collect some caches, some are puzzle caches that we have solved. Sunny start to the day, set off at the park. Following the fun climbing the tree in the Linklater Pines, we went to do Fred's Walk.
Surprised that we found this. Took a good 10 mins looking the clue and used a technique the last cacher used. TFTC

TFTC an a ha moment as soon in hand, but thought may have needed a tool to assist. Cache all dry. Signed & replaced as found.
Took a bit longer to find than it should have. Giving it a fav as think it's a clever placement. We both had a day off so decided a caching day trip was loooong overdue.
Thanks for placing the cache all7ofusnz.

TFTC, nice hiding spot, grabbing a number of caches today in palmy trying to tick off as many new ones as possible as I have not been here in a number of years when I had logged 99%of all caches in the city
Today is my first dot-day of the year (first since November!)
My plan to find one during my lunch break was stifled by a blood donation, so since I was in the area after dinner this seemed like a good option.
I searched hint-high and hint-low, but could not locate it... I was about to agree with the previous DnF when I remembered that a similar (*cough* identical *cough*) hide near my home suffers from cache creep where it can become encaverned in the structure. With this in mind, my pen helped in the hunt and I soon heard the delightful *TINK* of what I was looking for.
Thanks for the hide, and for helping me tick off another dot-day

Hard to find but great hiding spot surprise that nobody called the cops on us for some sketchy kids looking around the bus stop thanks all7ofus found with plannerpat
#16497. We made hard work of this. Eventually I went back to the car and got a handy tool, and using it I soon discovered the cache location. TFTC.
Day #3 of our four day caching trip to Palmerston North. Today the forecast was perfect for an assault on the Stickman series - fine with light winds in the morning. The weather turned out as forecast, with great views especially along the ridge and it took under four hours from start to finish.
After returning to PN and revitalised by coffee, we decided to find a few more caches in the area. I wish I could say this was a quick find, but we struggled. Eventually StreetWalker found the cache in a location we had both previously searched. I was sitting on the seat, when a bus stopped on the opposite side of the street and the bus driver leaned out the window, looking concerned (maybe the last bus for the day had already departed). I waved her on, saying that I was just resting Loved the name of the cache, it made me smile. TFTC.

Quick find on a quiet hot Sunday. I don't know why I didn't find it last time. Maybe making it a race to find against Miss 6 and Master 3 was the trick! Glad to tick this off! TFTC
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for.
I used to live in Palmy many years ago. I'm passing through on my way to the Mega in Wellington with thegreatauk. We're staying with some old friends of mine just down the road. This area used to be out in the country so it's all very different. Thegreatauk made a quick find of this. A lovely lady came over and asked us if we were catching the bus. She was trying to help us because the bus was due soon but would be stopping at the other bus stop on the other side of the road. It was very kind of her but we told her we were playing a game instead. She seemed okay with that answer and headed off to her bus stop again. My Grandma is 92 and went into a rest home earlier this year. She's really enjoying the sovial aspect of it. I think the security of having people around you when you're getting older is a great comfort. I did enjoy the title and play on words, thanks for the cache
Took longer than should have here but came up trumps in the end. Signed log and replaced as found. Tftc an smiley
A bit of an interesting day for me. It has been one of my parenting weekends, and so I had made a plan to take my lad over to the Wairarapa to attend a Geocaching event and pick up a few caches on the way in the hope of finally achieving the Hidden Creatures souvenir series currently running.
However, I mistakenly got the event date wrong, and so it was yesterday, not today, and suddenly I was at a loose end. What to do? Well Palmerston North is still rich pickings for us both, as we are still relatively new to Geocaching, so figured on tempting fate with the weather in the hope of snagging a few up here.
Having enjoyed almost Spring-like weather for the last few hours, the heavens opened and we were forced to sit in the car and wait to see if this was just a passing heavy shower or if the rain was here to stay for the rest of the day. Luckily it was the former, but the heavy rain had pooled a lot on the various paths leading to the next few caches. My lad loved trying to get his dad wet jumping in the puddles!
Having hunted a few caches in similar locations, we had a shrewd idea of where this one would be hidden, and so it proved. It was harder to find a moment when there wasn't a car going past than actually locating the container itself! So it was a quick sign of the log before replacing it all exactly as found for the next seeker to find, and heading off to the next one.
Thanks for placing this cache, and for bringing us to yet another part of NZ previously not visited.

Rinse & Repeat from my last find. Same structure, same container, same hiding place. Looks like someone has been reading the same book Popmac has been reading on how to hide a geocache! All quiet at GZ which made for a straightforward find.

Your life stopped here? Sorry to hear your geocaching adventure is over! (just extending the theme too far)
Actually, this is the last cache of the day on a day centred around cache maintenance - I am not in Palmy long, so I need to get out and cover theem off while I have the chance.
The cache was an easy find - we have exactly the same bus stop all over Blenheim, and the hide use here is the only hide they use. Found the cache in two seconds flat.

My life stopped briefly when cache was stuck, but no serious issues. Nice camo TFTC all7ofusnz.
#4701. After a full on day geocaching around the region yesterday in the rain I stayed overnight at Palmerston North in a motel hoping to get a second big day in. But the Metservice let me down badly this week forecasting as late as Wed night that there would be fine weather for Fri/Sat in Manawatu when in reality it rained much of both days. Don't know why they bother with 10 day forecasts when they get it this wrong 2 days out. So on Saturday I set myself a greatly reduced target of just 20 caches to find around Palmie before heading back home. A bit of an apocalyptic name for a cache next to a rest home. Guess that it is true for many. Instant find. Occasionally they are somewhere else but this is the favourite hiding spot of many. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache all7ofus.
We called in to pick this one up after our excursion to Feilding after the local CITO event.A quick find, wrote the log and re-concealed carefully.A team effort with edvern.TFTC!
