Enjoying a couple of nights here in Aramac. Can highly recommend the caravan park. Best amenities block of our whole trip. Pizza night in the cafe was great too. TFTC
TFTC. Its been fun find the bulls in town. Ill be coming this way tomorrow to do the sculpture trail.
This turned out the easiest find Ive had so far in Aramac today. Its sad to see the old building adjacent being pulled down and the timber just being turned into matchsticks!
Found on a sojourn all around during QOGM 2023. A fun jaunt with lots of dust, mud and starry skies. Thanks RoddyC and clear skies from TeamAstro. Cache the planet! Just loving these outback trails, red dust, green foliage and blue skies! Thanks RoddyC for placing these caches, for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
Touring a bit further today and grabbed this cache.Nice quick find here. Teamed up and signing logs as TAD (Tenkae Astro Deanside), Tftc
After stopping for a three dog, road train - full of cattle, we made our way across the cattle grid and parked up in front of the sign. A very quick search, and my fellow travellers had this cache in hand. TFTC.
A very appropriate find as we began our Sculpture Trail experience today I even managed to search the correct spot first off, which rarely happens! Cache was in good nick. Found while visiting Longreach Shire during QOGM 2023. TFTC, RoddyC. =^.^=
On the hunting trail with Liz & Bruce a QOGM 2023 adventure. Quick find here. Another great day for caching. TFTC RoddyCFor anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australias only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Week 2 was Clare to Port Augusta.
Week 3 Port Augusta to Birdsville.
Day 34 and today we only travelled a short distance from Muttaburra to Aramac caching along the way.
After setting up camp and lunch at the Starlight Cafe we headed out and about exploring the town. Its pretty quiet today as apparently everyone if out at the rodeo.
Thanks for contributing to our holiday RoddyC

Cairns to Sydney Road Trip
Day Four: Townsville to Aramac
Weather: rain a’plenty
Greetings from a transiting South Australian.
One of three caches in Aramac found on foot and by torch light during a lull in the rain.
I’m wondering if the adjacent school is where my saviour works. I drove in from Torrens Creek, and at about 20km short of Aramac, I pulled right over to let a road train pass. I didn’t realize that I was no longer in sandy soil country, and immediately got bogged. The very next car that passed stopped and helped me out. I love country people.
Cache was found in two halves with the log book some distance away. It’s quite wet. I think I have some spares on me and will add one in the morning on the way out of town.
Thanks again RoddyC.
It’s on! GCA1DNA “The Great Leap Forward”

After visiting the nearby wash down area, which is probably mostly frequented by trucks, but which we desperately needed after our run-in with the black mud yesterday, we drove back towards town and stopped to find this one.
The sky looked ominous again, and I’m wondering if we are heading into more rain.
All good here.
Thanks RoddyC

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia on Cape York Peninsula, traveling along the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then to Noccundra, Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Hughendon and Ravenshoe to Cairns and Cooktown, out to Weipa and up to Bamaga and Seisia. Thanks for the cache RoddyC!
Fortunately Aramac is tiny so you don't have to go far to get to the outskirts of town. This cache was found no problem.
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
03/01/21 Roadtrip Mackay to Emerald to Barcaldine to Aramac to Blackall to Jericho over the next 3 weeks. Lots of puzzle solving before and during trip. Searched area and found GZ . Replaced and signed log. TFTC SL
We were very kindly invited to do a maintenance run with RoddyC and Grannysmith1947. They found out our paths were crossing when we logged one of RoddyC’s logs last night. Thanks RoddyC for the invite and the cache.
Day 8 of my Outback road trip which has taken me to the lovely town of Amarac.
After collecting some of the other caches in town, I was heading to Lake Dunn and stopped to collect this one on the way.

Queensland Outback Geomuster 2019 trip to Blackall. Day 8. With the events officially over, I had a few more days to see how many caches I could collect around the region. Having not been able to come along last year, I wanted to do a trip up to Barcaldine and Aramac, so today I set off early and visited as many of the caches near those towns as I could. I am also please at the number of caches that have been fixed up since I did last pass through and so many had become victims of new signs. A long day that ended with a leaky tyre.
Thanks.

Day 361 - We decided today that a nice drive out to ARAMAC was the order of the day however we made a wrong decision and continued on from there and managed to stay out too long and not finish two started caches so after much discussion and a little bit of pig headiness we turned for home some 200K out of the way. It was however a nice drive and we manage to collect 31 finds and 1 DNF of those 1 werigo 1 mystery 1 multi 1 letter box and the remainder were the good old fashion traditional caches. What a great day.
Having made our way here for the werigo it was a nice easy quick find to get another smiley today as we progress on our way. This was a good place to stop and cache with an interesting area to pause to enter the information in the werigo.
Thanks RoddyC for placing this cache for us to find today.

Big day out today from Aramac. Plan to complete the Wherigo and Multi together on the sculpture trail. Well it would have been okay if we didnt start the wrong WIG first up so we did a lengthy circuit of town to start the day with a DNF before heading further afield.
Thankfully we had a great day visiting Lake Dunn and seeing all the amazing sculptures. Even ducked into Gray Rock on the way back which was a great little historical spot.

Found on a day out at Aramac and Muttaborough around attending the Aramac CITO. TFTC.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you RoddyCfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Yay. Yet another nice find. This could have taken a lot longer than it did. Thankfully, many hands make light work, well I think that's how it goes. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
