A few things came together and we were able to return for this years event although the traffics had us arriving a bit late. Good to see the area was relatively clean to start with but we still found some items to fill the bags. Good to catch up with everyone. TFTC.
Even though ZimbaW and I got there later than anticipated it was really great to catch up with everybody again and also put some faces to names I've seen around Next time we will have more time for a chat, but even so it was a great afternoon in a lovely part of Sydney-thanks for hosting the event Mikev1
A lovely day for a meet in a quite part of suburbia. It was great to see that this area had far less rubbish than at our last CITO gathering, to the point where GamingCaving and I had to take it easy so we could leave something for others to do.
Great to meet up with some other local, and not so local, cachers and finally got to meet Miz Wacket's cute little geopup, plus the Instagram famous Freda (and her owner ZimbaW). Thanks for organising the event Mikev1.

The Ridgeopup and I arrived with Miz Wacket and her geohound very late to this event having gotten distracted by a wherigo and then caught in traffic. Spotted the Mikev1 straight away on arrival and we were ready to start CITO but then got chatting to the other attendees. So MW, the pooches and I went for a walk after the event and collected some rubbish on the way.
I am hosting my first (CITO) event on Sunday in Queanbeyan (GC73T48) if you feel like a bit of a drive
Thanks for the event and it was lovely to meet you all

#3961 (1 of 2 today)
My schedule this coming weekend was very CITO unfriendly, so when one was published for midweek, it was my best chance to clean up - and grab the souvenir.
So I targeted that for today.
Then discussions after it was over led to a joint attempt at a cache using a ladder and cloaks of invisibility...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
How to turn up well after the CITO is supposed to commence? Pick a route with heavy traffic and a broken down truck. So a 40 minute drive turned into over an hour...
So, I got there late but still was not the last to arrive.
I'd brought a mechanical grabber to reduce the need to bend - still sore from ANZAC Day hike / DNF in the Blue Mountains. It even came in useful retrieving a bottle from the water that was otherwise out of reach.
We had a small but enthusiastic group, and plenty of talk after it ended.
Finally left about 4pm, and, oh look, traffic is still banked up and the truck is still there. Glad I'm going the other way this time.
Thanks to the organiser for doing this one mid week. Much appreciated.

Managed to get an early reprieve from work so it's off to the CITO at Oatley. I arrived a little late but still had time to half fill my rubbish bag. With the others already cleared most of the trash, there was little left for Brew.
After a quick photo shoot we dropped off the bags of rubbish for the local greenies to take away. Had some time to catch up with a few familiar cachers plus meet a few new faces and their geodogs. All up, another successful CITO completed.
Thanks for organising the CITO Mikev1. And thanks to the others who made the journey to Oatley. A nice little urban oasis. Just wish there were some new caches around here to add to my total! Glad I could make it this year.

Hi Mikev1,
Just letting you know ZimbaW and myself are still attending but we will be a bit late. See you soon.

With geocaching having received a bit of bad press lately due to people falling off bridges and cliffs etc it's nice to do something genuinely positive with the community. Weekend commitments meant this was the nearest CITO I could attend, and I remembered the location from last year. I got here about 15 minutes late and headed off up the creek with bag in hand. The CO had been almost apologetic about the lack of rubbish but half an hour or so later the bag was satisfyingly full and we regrouped for a photo and a quick chat. Nice to catch up with people and see some new faces. This is a great little reserve and I'm glad we could tidy it up a bit. See you next year? TFTC!
A small but friendly group turned up for this CITO event today on a beautiful sunny autumnal afternoon. Armed with gloves and plastic bags we all scoured the bushland trails and banks of the creek for the usual plastic bottles and general rubbish. It was good to see a lot less rubbish here than there was last year.
The most popular member of our group was the dog bearing a trackable on her collar! She received lots of attention.
Thanks to all for attending and helping to make our environment that little bit cleaner

Weekend commitments will keep me from the other events so I thought I might not be able to make a CITO contribution this time. But I should be able to make this one - hopefully!
I'll be visiting Sydney for a few days. Have to head back for my own CITO in Queanbeyan on the weekend, so this midweek event works well for me. I shall have the Ridgeo-pup with me - are dogs allowed in the area?
Can't make the other CITOs for various reasons - well might manage to attend one for a short while - so I'll try to get to this one.
