I am archiving this cache due to the unfortunate lack of action taken to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, LeoGeo6438, requesting additional time.Despite ample opportunities provided for the Cache Owner to respond, their silence leads me to the conclusion that the cache has been abandoned. In such cases, archived caches will not be unarchived, and as a result, this location is now open for the placement of a new cache by another interested party. Thanks,BalayangCommunity Reviewer - Australia
### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information.. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by LeoGeo6438 and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayangCommunity Reviewer -Australia
Outnabout in the area and have replaced this for the next finder. Will post a photo of the location so up to you if you want the spoiler.
Given the description implies the cache is on the verandah, a log says it was in the kitchen and then someone moved it without changing coords or adding info there was little chance we would actually find this cache.
Suggest the owner pop in for some maintenance.

Thanks to the previous cacher moving the cache and not giving new coordinates, I was unable to find it. Spent lots of time looking but to no avail. Fantastic ghost town. They had it tough living in those times.
Found during three weeks away with e.gregory1 on a trip along WA's Great Central Road and a caching circuit of the WA Goldfields. We travelled North on the Stuart Highway and out to Kings Canyon to Uluru and Kata Tjuta. From there we headed in a south-westerly direction along the Great Central Road with a number of detours along the way, including Surveyor Generals Corner and Empress Spring. Then it was down to Laverton and Leonora before turning South to Menzies and Kalgoorlie. A few days were spent on a circuit back up to Lake Carey and around to Queen Victoria Spring before returning to Kalgoorlie, then out to Coolgardie, Kambalda and Norseman, and heading for home along the Eyre Highway. The WA Goldfields is a fascinating region of incredible scenery and history that we experienced over a number of days while touring the area. Thanks for the cache LeoGeo6438!
Found on another enjoyable trip with FeatherWaite over 3-weeks through South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia. This time the plan was to head up to Kings Canyon, across to the WA border via Uluru and Kata-Tjuta, then down the Great Central Road, with a few side-trips along the way before eventually getting to the Goldfields and then home via Queen Victoria Springs and the Eyre Highway.
We had some mixed weather to start, with a few overnight showers initially, but mostly warm and sunny days. The nights were often cold though!
What a fascinating area this is, with all the old buildings and paraphernalia on display. We could have spent much longer looking around.
After reading previous logs, we concentrated our search on the kitchen, eventually finding the logbook in a milk jug.
Thanks LeoGeo6438 for the cache.

We were in town picking up the adventure lab and we weren't going to leave this one as it was so close.
Unfortunately we must have struck peak period here as quite a few muggles were standing around and thee were many more coming and going so rather than compromising the cache we decided we would have a look next time,
Thanks anyway

This is one of my favourite towns in Australia. Been here a couple of times and absolutely love it…. Thank you for putting this Geo in here makes the town even more special.
Quick find of just the log with old dates so unsure if actually found the cache, will replace and keep going, this was inside. TFTC!
Day 8 of my roadtrip, and before heading into Leonora, it was a "must-do' to first explore Gwalia ghost town. What a fascinating place! The tales of pioneer hardship really come alive here. Spent ages walking around and going in to all the buildings - loved it. Had some difficulty with this cache - there were enough clues in previous logs to confirm I was in the right place but after checking every possible container nothing was found. So I checked them all again - still nothing. After spending quite some time at GZ I conceded a DNF and wandered into the next room. I couldn't believe my eyes - spread out on the dining table was the log sheet! Very odd - but also a huge relief! I signed and replaced it back in the kitchen inside one of the artefacts, in line with previous comments / hints. TFTC
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA .Geocahcing has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country.I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
We stayed nearby this fabulous location, not only to explore all the local history but to also watch over the mining process. We spent today wandering around this abadoned town and happy to find this hide.
It took a bit to find this, as GPS was pointing us outside but after reading the more recent logs, realised we had to be in the kitchen. We eventually made the find and as it has a "Needs Maintainence" on it, we have now place the log sheet in a container, so hopefully this great cache can survive.
Thanks LeoGeo6438 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

TFTC same as Sacada, found in the kitchen. Great Ghost town, museum is fabulous.
On my way to Perth via Broome with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
Found in the kitchen. Great old village. Brings back memories of similar places.

Great spot - so much to explore ! Found fairly quickly. Log is out of container.
On a holiday decided to do a little Caching. We forgot a pen so we decided to take a photo. TFTC!
Clever hide and awesome spot.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!
LeoGeo6438, I found Function House today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Found it! Bit of a challenge, we thought it was on the other side of the house!
Requires maintenance if possible- log paper was loose in the kitchen but no cache box. Sorry we didn’t have a box with us.
We have not been to Gwalia since the '80s when Mr ILT was involved in moving the timber headframe to its present location so that the Son's of Gwalia Gold Mine could dig that bloody big hole without destroying it. Mr ILT was living in the Gwalia Federal Hotel for quite some time, a bit sad to see it empty and decaying now. Time moves on.
Thanks, LeoGeo6438.
Thanks, LeoGeo6438.
TFTC. This was a tricky one but we got there in the end.
Thanks for setting up this cache.

No luck finding this cache on our first visit. Read through the logs before coming back for our second visit. Enough information gained to make a quick find this time round. TFTC
Found others in the area easily. This one is either missing or needs a higher difficulty rating.
It was cold in my room last night, don't even want to think about how cold it would have been in a "house" like this.
Not sure if it is cache creep but no door needs to be opened to find this cache
Thank you for hiding this geocache LeoGeo6438

A long overdue road trip to Kalgoorlie for work meant I could pick up a few caches on the way. Great location. But I would suggest moving the cache away from
The building. So many things to search and with cachers hunting, damage will be done.
Many thanks to LeoGeo6438 for placing and maintaining Function House. I was here at 8:36 am on Wednesday and this is my find 8906.

GPS kept jumping all over the place and lots of muggles around so gave up. Loved walking back into history
The doors were open. Had to be to locate the cache. Interesting. Thanks for putting out the caches.
Found it. TFTC LeoGeo6438. I won’t say how long I spent looking for this one. I might embarrass myself.
Tftf thinking if i put my kids in here they would put me under child protection loved the place
Tftc found on a day trip out from kalgoorlie whilst on holiday. What an amazing place

Found well out of the GPS but within searchable distance from GZ - quick find! TFTH SL as B+GFTB
Bought a friend or to see gwalia today and thought I would revisit cache as there was conflicting information in the log history. I went back to one of the sites mentioned in a log and found half the caching container I had seen pictured and very little else. I have put the log inside a warheads container and left it at the place I found it.
Found a log sheet and no cache to go with it (I saw pictures of previous finders cache logs) I have logged it and there was little else I could do. Thank you
