Unfortunately we had no luck finding this one today. Checked the obvious spot. Found the SPOR but prize.
13230 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1050, We have decided to head down the Birdsville track. All in good condition. Made the find on our way to the south. SL Tnx Gordon Patrick Samuel
We are on a Bucket List Trek, from Busselton, in the South West corner of Australia, up to Cape York, Australia's most Northern land point.
We are travelling through several iconic tracks, through the Gawler Ranges, the Oodnadatta Track, the Birdsville Track, the Bloomfield Track and the PDR Track to Cape York.
As we meander across this awesome country, we stopped here to enjoy the scenery, check out the history and wonder what life was like here in the Outback all those years ago.
Thanks to the CO's for adding to our journey as we head to Cape York.

We had already logged Hot Pool II at Dalhousie Springs a week or so earlier, so this one was a must! An easy find and short stroll from the pub, but sadly no more pool to see here. TFTC
Found while staying overnight for a rest halfway up the track before heading to Big red bash 2022
Found it TFTC Found in good condition. No gecko but a fat huntsmen that may have had gecko for dinner

Was finally able to get away on my 2021 trip up to outback Qld.
The original plan was to go up through NSW but that got changed on the morning of the departure.
Was very apprehensive about towing the new van up the track but my only other option was to stay home.
Well I have made it half of the way and after another great night in Phil’s Mungerannie Pub it was time to head off but not before finding this one.
A walk through the station and I soon had this one signed.
Thanks Gordon Patrick Samuel TFTC.

Post COVID-19 trip for G’s birthday on way to Birdsville- thanks for the outback find
We made it up the Birdsville Track with minimal trouble and then I broke the van in the Birdsville Caravan Park. D’oh!
After a few false starts I did get it fixed.
The trip up the Track was pretty straightforward and the chance to stop for caches along the way helped add to the trip.
Overnight at Mungaranie Phil’s and then Janet and I continued north. The track was good apart from the corrugations which actually weren’t too bad.
This cache was a quick find as we left Phil’s. Found in the first place checked.
TFTC yet again GPS

It's hard to imagine that a hot pool was once here with an abundance of bird life although I would imagine the birds would return when water once again flows in the Derwent Creek and fills the surrounding water holes. I recall reading somewhere that a lot of the old bores are being capped to preserve the Artesian Basin water so maybe this is one of those selected for that reason.

Shame there were no birds and no water but at least there was a cache, and of course flies.

Nice easyone if you are happy to walk with the flies. No water on the hot springs though
We've been wanting to drive the Strzelecki Track for a long time so a window of opportunity came up and we were out the gate!! We travelled up the Birdsville Track and down from Innamincka. Had a great time caching and admiring many views of the outback. The only casualty was the windscreen which had a close encounter with a rock on day 3. Got told in Birdsville that it wasn't bad enough to freight another up. Luckily it made it all the way home with the help of duct tape. We found some great views and historical places thanks to geocaching.

Cache was found as part of a Simpson Desert trek by Team Waldron, Freddo, Featherwaite, E_Gregory1 and a couple of muggles.
After Coober Pedy it was off to Dalhousie Springs then across the desert to Birdsvaille south to Clayton Springs and then one last night in the Flinders.
A great trip and we even had time for a few caches.
There was a liitle water there this time.

Found in the company of Freddo, e.gregory1, Team Waldron, occasional cacher out of retirement SteadyOn and muggle friend Tony during an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Gordon Patrick Samuel!
Found as part of an extended trip with FeatherWaite, Freddo, Team Waldron and a couple of non-caching friends that saw us travel from Adelaide to Coober Pedy, through the Painted Desert to Oodnadatta, then on to Dalhousie and Mount Dare, before crossing the Simpson Desert to Birdsville and then back down to Adelaide via Marree and the Flinders Ranges.
We had pretty good weather, with moderately warm days and cool nights, but plenty of flies!
It was great to be able to find some remote caches in some really interesting and scenic locations.
Thanks Gordon Patrick Samuel for the cache.

A quick and easy find, our last before Birdsville where we sit waiting for parts for our vehicle.
This cache was found on an awesome trip to Alice Springs and the Red Centre MegaThere were many many awesome experiences shared with LakeEyreMax, Lost55 and TK2. and on occasion moneydorkThis one as we headed homeThere was a lot going on and I was neglectful of logging, but did keep notes and luckily can shadow TK2 logsPlease accept my apologies and late log - it reflects my tardiness rather than the quality of the cache experience and the enjoyment derived
Found it 9 months after the previous finder! A little lonely cache could be found as a drive by! Tftc.
Found Monday around midday on our way through to Birdsville for a few days of hot air ballooning & some rest. The cache was easily located. SL TNLN TFTC
Great location and thanks to the helpers as well, a lot of muggles around here, tftc and fun for everyone
Found it with TK2 , the beginning of a great trip away with some good friends, tftc
The cache container has now been replaced and the cache is good to go. Thanks to our helpers!
New container needed and location checked. Cache was located in the open not in a good way. Patched up and stashed under some rocks. PM me if it can't be located. Logbook still present.
We were here on 04/07/2015. Found GZ, camouflage disturbed...think this has been muggled
GPSr was out but scrambled around the likely area. Found the container busted and contents strewn over the ground. Placed log in a new snap lock bag and duct taped the container as best possible. Possible escaped in the wind, it was gusting pretty well this day.
Looked but not found whilst on our Simmo crossing
way too many Muggles around and the one lone tree

I guess this one seems a little out of place but still happy to find it. I quick find in this harsh environment
Found this one while travelling the Outback Loop (Lyndhurst-Marree-Birdsville-Innamincka-Lyndhurst)with friends. We stopped here for an overnighter, a few Beers, and a swim. Probably my favorite place for the trip. TNLNSL. Thanks to Gordon Patrick Samuel for the cache.

This was the 32nd find of a total of 49 caches found by Boxer and 5 Vietnam veterans club member mates, on a 10 day trip up to Marree, then onto Mt Dare, across the Simpson desert to Birdsville, then back down to Marree, then home to Kadina. A very interesting and at times very challenging trip. Stopping to find caches helped break up the trip and get out and stretch the legs. Thanks for the cache hide.
Walked over to this one from the van and could not find a hot pool, just a big hole being filled with limestone. Also found a cache in a likely hiding spot.
Thanks to Gordon Patrick Samuel for this cache

We drove straight past this one as we headed to the pub. After a drink, and finding the other 2 caches in the area, we made our way back to it. Container was about 5 metres from the obvious hiding spot, but still in tact. We replaced it where it should have been. Seems we are the first cachers to tackle the Birdsville Track this year.

The birds make it easy to get up in the morning but by about 6.30 they're off for the day. There is about 60 campers here (Birdsville Races?) and it was find a spot and fit in. No hope of finding the hot pool until this morning with some early swimmers enjoying the day. I took the opportunity to find this before the multitudes got up but the cache hide doesn't blend in well with the landscape - I did see some rabbits on the way here. TFTC
Mr Morris headed off the the Birdville Races from Bendigo along with Steve, a part time cacher and 2 muggles in another vehicle.
They travelled via Port Augusta, Coober Pedy and Mt Dare and then returned home via Hawker, Broken Hill and Mildura.
There are some large and ugly cocoons around the cache - glad we won't be here when they hatch whatever is lurking in them.

A pretty quick find on a quick stop at the pub on the way to Birdsville for the night. Cheers. MODU.
Enjoyed a dip in the pool the afternoon before, along with a million kids! Thanks GPS
We drove past this one on the way in, were a bit mystified about the whereabouts of the hot pool but eventually found it just over the back of our camp. Wondered about the white rocks, they seem to make a good road surface, at least in the dry. Took: badge. Left: teddybear with necessary sunglasses SL TFTC
Easy find. But on the box was sitting a large spider
