*The SueHut Birthday Long Weekend Adventure #35*
Day 4 of our long weekend began with a quick run to Moyston.
We're on the way back from Moyston, to pack up and head back west (young man!)
There's still a cache or two to deal with before we leave Ararat, 'though. This is one of them.
Thanks heaps, Nards Nuggles!

Spotted this one from the road alongside. Luckily we did, cos it was raining - one of those cold wintery days in the Ararat countryside.
Went for a stroll through the cemetery nearby. A nice peaceful location overlooking serene green hills and slopes. The kangaroos liked it also...
Thx Nards. From JJHHXX. Find 96

This cache would seem to have had some welcomed action on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'robbo 56', so it fortunately lives for another day.
Please remember that cache maintenance arrangements need to be proactive, not reactive. This means regular visits (by the CO) to check on the cache and not relying on or expect passing seekers to fix issues or replace missing caches.
Even though a Good Samaritan has addressed the issue, there is still a need to remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute - see here: [**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and then Enable the cache - see this link: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) .
**I have removed the NM attribute and Enabled the cache for you on this occasion.**

As robbo 56 has mentioned there is a new log sheet in this cache and there is no need for any other maintenance required. Thank you for bring us to this interesting area which we would not have seen except for geocaching. SL TFTC
Visited some rellies in the actual Spring Lead Cemetery before visiting this cache. It's in good order with no maintenance required.

Hi there Nards_Nuggles,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).
Thanks for your cooperation,

*Staying in Ararat for a few days*
Found as I toured around the area cleaning up the ol' caching map. A day trip planned so I could take photos and the occasional cache as I passed. Travelled through some beautiful areas today many of which I had to myself today. Whilst it may not be 'reading' I do enjoy audio books when I travel.
A beautiful time of year with all the trees in colour and everything lush and green. I have seen many beautiful areas around this fantastic area.
**Warning**, *this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.*
Thanks for the cache Nards_Nuggles. Appreciate your efforts.

TFTC. We are camped at Green Hill Lake for a few days as an escape from the pre Christmas madness. While here we are using geocaching to explore the area.
The old log is just about full , a replacement will be needed.

We have visited many cemeteries over the years, both for family history purposes and now caching. We find them fascinating places and full of local history. SL at 9.17am Unfortunately we didn’t have tome to wander today, but we took a photo of the gate with a few headstones behind. #6912 Hopefully we will get another opportunity on another visit to explore further. Out after the mega event. Day 85 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 4 for the day and 2454 for the trip. TFTC
Out for a morning by myself and thought I would grab some finds before the mega this weekend. Nice, easy find. Tftc.
Nicely placed cache, will definitely have to have a closer look at the cemetery when I get a chance. TFTC!

Cold, wet and windy weather was not a sufficient deterrent to keep us from a day's caching in and around Ararat today.
A signature placement that we have come to expect from this CO, but it still took a minute or two to locate! We did see the cemetery across the gully, as we made our way to and from the cache.
Thanks 'Nards_Nuggles' for this placement.

Collecting some elusive mystical creatures with wozzle68 we headed to Ararat for the day to cache the town and the outlying areas as far as Great Western. The sun was shining and the wind was bitter cold but it didn't rain and that was all we could ask for, especially as it is the middle of winter.
A bit to far to see the cemetery but we did see the cache.
Thanks Nards_Nuggles for the placement.

Found with geograndkids – TheWalkers22 at 3.45 pm. Nice hide - walked past it a few times. TFTC
Didn't see the cemetery however did take some time to spot this cheeky little hide! Clever thinking.
In the Moyston area visiting relo’s. A little off the track to Moyston but the adventure was was worth the hunt. This is only the second time I’ve seen a cache with this type of camo. A couple of likely hidey spots but the cords are good as is the cache. TFTC Nard_Nuggles. TNLN SL
Cemeteries are fascinating places. Still working on BIL muggle re geocaching lol tftc

Today I was returning from Halls Gap with some caches in Ararat, and some challenge caches near Mount Beckworth. Nice quick find. Thanks for the cache, Bmak.
With Wozzle68, we started today with the aim to get one cache close to home for International Geocaching Day. But one thing led to another and we found ourselves travelling out west, as you do. After exploring Bunjil's Cave and meeting up with Suscoe for afternoon tea in Stawell, it was time to head home via a couple more caches.
The rain was starting up again as we found this cache, so we didn't proceed to explore the cemetery, however it looks very picturesque and we will be sure to visit another day. TFTC Nards Nuggles.

Suscoe was heading steadily north west today on a caching trip.
Weather was cold, wet and soggy. The countryside was green and wet and soggy.
What a beaut day for caching.
We were rugged up with coats, beanies and gloves.
Thanks to Nards_Nuggles for this hide.
An interesting sight to see.
Thanks for bringing us by here.

After meeting up with Jacko for a fun day exploring some of the shorter hikes around the Grampians it was time to head back east. Taking the slow road, caching along the way of course . Had to do my bit for this new Pirate campaign which requires finding some caches this week to get the Mary Hyde lost treasure map and souvenir....
It was quite a busy day which included many different cache types, several DNFs, some unloved caches, and a FTF! With overnight temperatures of just 1 degree there were very few people about which made for easier caching. Offtrack hiking and bushbashing around 1am was a highlight. By the time I stopped caching at 3am I was nowhere near Geelong. In fact I just made it as far as Elmhurst ...
This was an easy find even in the dark. In over 4000 finds i's the first time I've seen this innovative attachment method .
Thanks, Nards_Nuggles.

Found on my rather indirect route to an event earlier today. Found the cache then drove the extra little bit up to view the cemetery. Great history in this part of the world. Thanks for showing it to me.
Found on Easter Sunday. A nice part of the world and very quiet out here today. Tftc
