Out in the PeuGEOt in the Clunes/Dunolly area for some caches. All is good with the cache and a quick find.TFTC
My first cache in Central Goldfields Council Area. Cache and log are okay. TFTC wozzle68.
Nice neat cemetery. A few kangaroos watched me walk into GZ where I made a quick find! TFTC!!
Ticked off another smiley on our trip from Maryborough to Ballarat. Interesting cemetery showing some history of an area now no longer there.
We made the drive all the way to this exact cache today to log the find as a part of GC59WFG - Centurion Centroid Challenge. Today, our cache centroid sits at S 37 09.875 E 143 40.225 (Centroid is 141 km from home). This cache at S 37 09.865 E 143 40.597 is therefore the closest cache to our centroid. Thanks for the cache wozzle68!
The Adelaide Leap Day Mega and Canberra Geobash gave us a great excuse for a road trip. This trip has shown us so many new and interesting places as weve chased LGAs, oldies, challenges, interesting D/T combinations, rarer cache types and favourites.Meeting up with friends old and new along the way, we sometimes cached together and sometimes alone but always had a great time. For a few days we have based ourselves in Avoca to explore the goldfields area, attend some events, climb some hills, visit out of the way places and learn some history. Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache and adding to our enjoyment.
An unusual situation for us instead of being in lovely warm Queensland we are hiding around cold old Victoria. Medical reasons and caravan repairs have us staying here and we will be looking forward to finding as many caches as possible while we are here. SL TFTC
TFTC Quick find. Signed and returned. Needs a new log book as it is full. Signed as LBW as there was no room to do better.
Found with Sorceysal on a cool Sunday arvo. This was another quick find. Thanks again wozzle68
Out on a chilly Sunday with bogonghazy to grab a few caches between Creswick and Talbot. Another quick find and we were on our way home. Thanks wozzle68
Apart from walking through a huge spiderweb and doing a crazy spider dance this ones all good.
What a surprisingly large cemetery! Thanks for shoeing us this part of Victoria. We would never have stopped here if it wasn't for geocaching.

As part of our last full day in Ballarat we decided to take a day trip to Lexton, Amphitheatre, Avoca and Talbot. We found a variety of cache types as well as completing 3 Adventure Labs. Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches and showing us so many aspects of the region.
Out and about caching between Ballarat and Avoca. Attempted various caches which took us to different areas of the countryside ab=nd villages. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
There were a number of people visiting the cemetery today. All with a much more important reason than us. So we respectfully gave them space whilst we went to our corner and signed a logbook.
On a caching and camping trip with day1976, he put together the list of caches, and I worked out we could camp near Mt Beckworth.
After camping and caching around Beckworth, we headed up to Talbot, but realised there was a very busy market on, so headed bush again to do more caches.
This was a busy cemetery today, with two other groups of people heading in as we did.
Luckily the cache was off to the side a bit, and we signed the log quickly then headed off again.

This cemetery was a short drive from where we were staying in Talbot. The gps was a bit all over the place but the hint had us searching in the right place.
Camping nearby and out and about exploring the area.
Thanks for maintaining the cache, it such a peaceful location.

Travelled out to Avoca to join in the celebration events and explore an area I’ve not been to before.
Accessed this one from the wrong side initially but soon found the right path and made the easy find.
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache.

*Cache find # 11776.*
I was now making my way through to Talbot via some other caches when I come across this one, yet another cemetery that I had not visited before so I parked near the front gates which aren't there at the moment and made my way through to GZ where I was able to make a quick find.
**Thanks to wozzle68 for placing this cache.**

On our way home from a couple of days in Maryborough so took the chance to call in. This was a well kept cemetery. We discussed how much land is here. Wonder if there are a lot of unmarked graves. Thanks for the cache.
If I could have a dollar for every cemetery cache.....
Through the Catholic section and to the hide. Simple and good
Thanks wozzle68

Standing at the cemetery today,
it is very difficult to grasp that so many people lived in this towne once [:o]
There is absolutely nothing to show for it now except this delightful cemetery
A bit of a stroll around the stones,
took me to GZ and a quick cache find
TFTC.
Nice dunnies too [^]
So nice they had an official opening !! [:o]

A nice spot for a cemetery! Not that the residents can appreciate it! Thanks wozzle68.
Another stop that was quick because I was time short while here. I like the old name better.

Doing s couple of caches around here. So interesting. Quick find and thanks for the cache
Thanks wozzle68 for bringing us here today. Another spot we would not have visited if not for geocaching.
Thank you for a nice little historic find. Love bringing the kids out for a country drive and a history lesson they don’t know they’re having. Sorry, we didn’t sign your log as we forgot a pen!!
We headed over for some Caching in March in Talbot and collected a few along the way.
It was a messy start but eventually we got our mojo back.
Time to head for home - I imagine this spot was visited a few times today but it was all quiet for us
Thanks for the fun wozzle68

We were surprised at the size of the Cemetery, until we read the cache description. The day is much cooler now that the wind has changed direction and the sun is going down. SL at 6.36pm Left: angel #6043 TFTC wozzle68
Headed out to this cemetery before heading home.
All quite so here so can look without worrying about muggles.
A quick find signed log and replaced. TFTC.

This is one of the stops made as we followed a cache punctuated route towards the 6th annual St Arnaud Geo Weekend.
Another neat little hide highlighting local history, we find it intriguing how often we see familiar surnames in these old cemeteries.
Thanks to 'wozzle68' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Find #14 on this 14th of October, and the final one before we returned 'home' to camp. This is a very large cemetery! Thank you for sharing the local history on the cache page.
A nice quick and easy find in a lovely cemetery.
There has been a good deal of money spent on the infrastructure recently.

After helping LeeLee set up at Talbot market, Crackers set off to do the 5km return walk out to the cemetery. After a 300m false start due to forgetting a pen (becoming standard procedure for Crackers), it wasn't long after the restart and the rain began. Thankfully with the Gortex on, including the pen, took a surprisingly relaxing walk towards the cemetery. The rain does makes the bush smell great, and with the smoke from the houses heaters along the way, Crack was in heaven. Once at GZ an easy find was made and there is something great about historic old cemeteries. So glad I walked here from town rather than drove up.
Made my way back for a delicious lamb roll from the lamb/pork/egg&bacon roll guy at the market. If you have been to Talbot market you will know who he is
TFTC and a really nice morning walk today.

Great area around here and a fun cache too.
We found an escaped convicts grave near the gate which was cool to see!
Thanks for the hide.

Found by Mary & David at 1305. A FP even before Mary got out of the GeoPrado. She loves exploring cemeteries nearly as much as attending Events. Take time here to read how so many families lost several babies over the years, see the carvings of shamrocks showing the link to Ireland, as if you needed more evidence than the typical names like Patrick, Mary, Patricia, Bridget and Michael. A peaceful well-maintained area with such separation. Mary made a promise many years ago to one of her nursing home residents that she would visit her and bring flowers, but couldn't find the grave. Will contact the Cemetery Trust. Our thanks to wozzle68.
TFTC. We are still in the process of moving into our cabin in Maryborough. Trying to maintain acaching streak we took time out off a quick drive to this well kept Cemetery. It is large. Walking into the area we soon had the cache hide spotted. Signs log. Did think that there was room for another cache. Seeing that we got a container at theMega. Hmmmm
I was heading south along this road and picking up a few caches to break up the drive.
This is often that all that remains of towns is the final resting place for a lot of the towns folk.
Had a wander through the cemetery then went in search of the cache.
Coords spot on and I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks wozzle68 TFTC.

In the area for some cache maintenance today, and figured it was time we made our mark in the logbook here. It is incredible that this cemetery is all that now remains of this thriving goldfields township. TFTC wozzle68
On my way back from Maryborough with kenare and kenbryl, we thought we would stop in here. The cache was soon found and logged. Cigc. Tftc
After heading to Maryborough for Vic kids fish we headed out this way. I haven't been here for a few years, but it was good to come back for a different reason. I love looking around around cemeteries. Tftc
After finding the Golden Shoe at the Vic Fish day we decided it was time to find some caches. This was 1st on our list for the drive home. There was a massive ant nest nearby. The ants weren't happy we were there. Tftc
A beautifully expansive well kept and peaceful place this is. There is also lots of sadness and loss in cemeteries but glad to say It was a find I made here TFTC
My 100th find I'm so pleased it was in a cemetery. Had an explore round loved all the old headstones, and had no idea it was called daisy hill. Some lovely little wild flowers coming out now and I do wonder if the current grave diggers stumble across any nuggets in their work..... TFTC TNLN
Suscoe was up in Ballarat today visiting family and so a caching run eventuated.
So we set out in the terrific company of the sister and we found a few caches as we wandered the roads to the north of Ballarat.
Thanks to wozzle68 for this hide, a nice spot, quiet and we were amazed to learn of the 40,000 plus population in this area back in the day.

Heading over to Maryborough for the night to catch up with becca85 and her crew so we naturally decided to stop for a cache or two first! What a massive cemetery - room for a another cache down the back! Lol. Nice cache page - amazing to think of the population way back then. Many thanks for the cache

Found with becca85 & boo09 after netball training in Talbot. TFTC, sorry for late log.
A find was required for the 25th May and Thursdays have us heading out to Talbot for netball training straight after work/school pick up.
This was our last one left of the new bunch that we had been saving so as soon as netball was done, we headed in this direction. A nice quick find by one of the geo-kids as we tarted to lose light.
TFTC wozzle, feel free to stick many more out in this direction!
