Enjoying a morning walk to the viewpoint. Picking up this little on my way up. Thanks for hiding.
Today I walked around the pathway and detected the bix right st its coordinates. Tftc from macajoh
Took full advantage of the quiet trail and awesome views to have my lunch stop up here. Nice and peaceful and a nice quick find of the cache as well. All fine here, thank you for another one!

Lots of muggles going up and down.
We had to time our search well. Thankfully the precise clue, made it a quick grab.
Thanks for putting this here

After taking the ferry from Whitianga across the harbour, we made our way towards Cooks beach. This cache gave us a great excuse to stop and catch our breath, and also admire the stunning views from the lookout. TFTC
Off to the shops this morning to get a few supplies. Then thought while the weather was good we could see how many caches we could get in the area.
With Xsaveya and watcache.

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up in Whitianga for the next few days … we took the ferry across to the other side of the harbour & then went for a walk … thought it would be rude to not to check out a couple of caches while out & about … this one was an easy find, completed the log & replaced it … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,782 for us.
3 DNFs here so I contacted the CO and have replaced this cache. It’s about 30cm away from the hint item as there’s no cover there now. Great view here, TFTC
No luck here for us today - obvious hint area and no sign of it. Suspect it’s gone AWOL…
The view to sea was awesome but the view of the cache was not there. Might need to go to SpecSavers.

Sent Mini & Mrs ahead with a hint and I held back to cajole Micro up the steps. The ladies had found it before us boys had even arrived, so it was a quick sign and replace as we admired the view. Thanks for the view-tiful cache!
Log full at this one. Arranged a temp RITR replacement log to help it along. Cheers. We are back in Cooks Beach from a quick trip to Hot Water pools.
Day 9 - Boxing Day - Saturday 26 December - Whitianga - Cooks Beach - Tairua. So lets go exploring.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

Interesting title. Sad life? I have way more interesting things to live for! Like the next cache! okay, me too.
Log was full. Installed a replacement from the dragon's super awesome cache maintenance kit.
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

Cool little cache container, easy find and beautiful views today! Logbook very full. TFTC!
A great view indeed this morning. Logsheet full and I didn't have a replacement so attach a photo to prove I was there. TFTC.
The view was well worth the climb. Found with mr c on our travels from the uk thank you

It was a bit of a race up the steps to get to GZ out of sight of the family fast approaching behind us. CatNich deftly grabbed it when I stood admiring the view. Find number 5997!
The view is getting better and better!! Spotted this on arrival and palmed it until muggles departed. The log is totally full!!! Signed with initials. TFTC
Good view over flaxmill Bay. A cool type of cache. Really enjoyed this walk.

Out with Granny Raylnz. Started at the top of the hill and thankful for the lovely shaded path.
Definitely a view to live for but the cache was quite exposed and in danger of not living much longer so we have hidden it so it is a bit more out of sight.
Quite steep going down here, we're not looking forward to the return journey. TFTC

Extremely beautiful up here. Aqua green water. Slight breeze. Sunshine. Geocaching. Awesome
Found it while in Coromandel with Aiden29 to complete There 'n Back trail between Tapu and Coroglen. We did 400km today.
Beautiful views indeed!

Had plans with Tramyard to head back to the Coromandel, this time to complete the There 'n Back trail between Tapu and Coroglen. It was an early morning start, leaving home at just after 5am to get coffee on the way to meet tramyard. A very successful day, with 65 caches found before arriving home exhausted at 11pm.
We were intending to head to Cook's Beach but we had taken a wrong turn at Coroglen and didn't realise until we were about 5km from Whitianga. Decided to continue on anyway and find the 4 new Geotour caches in the area and grab some lunch. Finally made our way to our original destination. Headed to start at the Ferry landing and make our way back towards Cook's Beach.
Wonderful views from up here.

Out for another caching mission with Cats&Dragons today, with the goal to focus on caches along the Eastern side of the Coromandel Peninsula, starting in Whitianga and working our way down to Whangamata. A early start from Hamilton saw us pulling up to the first cache just after 5am, with the last cache for the day found a little before 3pm.
We got lucky with the weather with only a few showers throughout the day, and I successfully found 46 caches throughout the day, with only 3 DNF's. A very enjoyable day in a truly spectacular place. A big thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches we found.
Decided to head to this cache first and then walk back down the hill and grab the caches we walked past. Spotted this one quickly.

Early morning Caching Mission to see what was up the Coromandal Peninsula, and working our way back from Whitianga down to Whangamata. This way we would leave enough caches to make the cache run worth it, hitting it from the south which would make it an easier day next time.Today I was in the company of HKCB, (logs were generally signed HKCD) and we soon set in putting the world to rights, discussed may sports and enjoyed good music, caches along with fantastic sunshine.Managed a total of 63 caches and only 3DNF's so all in all a pretty good outcome. We set out from home, departing at 3am with a long drive, and big day ahead of us. The good thing at this time is that there are very few other cars to worry about on the winding roads. We eventually made it back home by 4.30pm.
Have always enjoyed Shakespare Park but had never, up until now had a chance to view this side of it. Thanks for bringing us up here.
A big thank you to all the cache owners for their diligence in maintaining these caches for the likes of us to enjoy.

Time to sit and have a rest and enjoy the view after finding a few cache. Nice area to visit.
After a lunch stop down at the beach, I was re-energised and ready to tackle a few more hills and find a few more caches! More beautiful views and fun walking on the way to this one. Yum..Coke Zero! TFTC
12.15pm. Our third time up this walk. Don't think it had steps the first time. A nice hot walk and the view was great today. A favourite point here.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

On a big mission to get a pile of caches so I can land my 7000th cache on either Mnt Ruapehu or Mnt Ngauruhoe on the 16th March! Hoping, weather permitting, that rustynz can join me for her 5000th cache as well on the same day. A bit of planning going into this I can tell ya!
I like the title of this cache page, why would I have to die to have a view? Rather pointless I say! Not fussed on all these stairs! These are made for tall people, one gets old and decrepit and the knees are wearing out... never mind, not the enthusiasm and the views were amazing today, water calm as. got some good fotos and will post a few as time permits. Cheers G for bringing me here, love the little cache container, it is so versatile!

Today we walked the looptrack at Shakespeare Cliffs. After days of searching and finding trash-like caches, these caches were such a relieve; this makes geocaching fun! All caches where found easily, thanks to the owner(s) for hiding and maintaining them…

Find number 4747. I always like it when you are huffing and puffing a hill and have to stop and grab a cache. Even better when there is a view. Cache spotted and taken back from the view in case I dropped it. Thank you for the placement.
It has been our first trip to New Zealand – great people and amazing sceneries. Geocaching has helped to discover New Zealand.
Thank you for the cache.

School holiday trip to Auckland/Coromandel with the family. After a night in Auckland we came across to Hotwater beach Top10 for a couple nights. In the area visiting Cathedral Cove and Cooks Beach. After visiting the lookout/transit MrsTG and Mr10 decided to run down this part of the track whilst Mr8 and I drove around to the bottom and attempted another couple. Quickly cornered and signed. Cheers.
Coming down the track instead of up we were tricked by the first handrail but spotted the right one a little further on. Must try to make one of these caches sometime - genius idea. TFTC
